Cast tires are used that are molded using molding materials such as thermoplastic elastomers and thermoplastic resins. Methods of inserting one or more bead cores into such a cast tire include (i) embedding them at the same time when the tire body is molded, and (ii) forming groove-like recesses in the bead portion during molding of the tire body. Conventionally, two methods have been adopted: a method in which a bead core is fitted into the groove-like recess after the tire body is molded.

However, in method (i) above, it is necessary to firmly hold the bead core with a pin or the like so as to withstand the injection pressure during casting, which is undesirable because it leaves pin marks on the product. In addition, in the method (ii) above, in order to securely hold the bead core, it is necessary to tighten the fit between the bead core and the groove-shaped recess, but it is practically difficult to obtain an optimal fitted state. The bead portion was often damaged by the bead core.

This invention was made for the purpose of providing a method for manufacturing a cast tire using a thermoplastic elastomer or thermoplastic resin as a molding material, in which a bead core can be successfully embedded. A tire body with a groove-like recess opening in the bead part is cast-molded using thermoplastic elastomer or thermoplastic resin, and a bead core made of a ferromagnetic metal material is fitted into the groove-like recess. After that, a plug made of the same material as the tire body is fitted into the groove-like recess, the bead core is heated by high-frequency induction heating, and the tire body and plug are welded and integrated with the heat. It is characterized by Embodiments will be described below based on drawings showing embodiments.

In the manufacturing method according to the present invention, first, as shown in FIG. 1, a tire body 1 having groove-like recesses formed around the entire circumference of the bead portion 2 is molded by a known casting method. As the molding material for the tire body 1, thermoplastic elastomers such as polyester elastomers, polyurethane elastomers, and polyolefin elastomers can be used. The width of the groove-like recess 3 is determined by the width of the bead core 4 used.
It is preferable to make the bead core 4 about 0.5 to 1 mm wider than the width of the bead core, and the depth is such that the bead core 4 is located at a predetermined bead core embedding position. Also,
The diameter of the groove-like recess 3 is made equal to the diameter of the bead core 4.

Next, as shown in FIG. 2, a required number of bead cores 4 are fitted into the groove-like recesses 3 of the tire body 1, and the outside thereof is closed with a plug 5 molded from the same molding material as the tire body 1. As the bead core, a ferromagnetic material, such as a metal product such as a steel wire, is used that has appropriate strength and can be heated by high-frequency induction heating. The plug body 5 is molded from the same molding material as the tire body 1, that is, a thermoplastic elastomer, and is formed as an annular body having a wall thickness approximately equal to that of the groove-shaped recess 3. It is inserted into the recess 3.

After the groove-shaped recess 3 into which the bead core 4 has been inserted is closed with the plug 5, the bead core made of a ferromagnetic material is heated by high-frequency induction heating, and the plug 5 is welded to the tire body 1. The coil 6 for high-frequency induction heating is preferably arranged all around the bead core 4 so that the entire bead core 4 is heated uniformly at the same time, but the bead core 4 is made of a metal material and has high thermal conductivity. Therefore, depending on the conditions, it is possible to uniformly heat the entire area without having to provide the coil 6 all around the circumference. The coil 6 is provided near a specific point on the circumference of the bead portion 2,
The tire body 1 may be sequentially heated while being rotated so that the bead portion 2 passes through this coil installation location over the entire circumference. The oscillation frequency of high-frequency induction heating is preferably about 100 KHz to 5 MHz, but is not limited to this. During heating, it is desirable to clamp the molten bonded portion at a pressure of 1 to 5 kg/cm 2 using backing plates 7, 7', etc., as shown in FIG.

以上の操作によつて、栓体5とタイヤ本体1と

Through the above operations, the plug body 5 and the tire body 1 are integrated, the gap in the bead core buried part disappears, and the bead core 4 is securely held without deforming the bead part, as shown in FIG. 3. A cast-molded tire 10 is obtained. Since the heating for welding the plug body is performed by high-frequency induction heating, the heating work is simple and the work can be carried out efficiently without heating parts that do not need to be heated.

As explained above, the method for manufacturing a cast tire according to the present invention is excellent in that it can reliably fix the bead core in a predetermined position without deforming the bead portion or creating a large gap. Since the bead core is embedded after the tire body is molded, there is no need for pins to fix the bead core during casting, and there are no pin marks left on the product.
