  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 互いに所定間隔を隔てて配置され複数のセル空

    ストライプ状の透明電極と、 複数の該セル空間内にそれぞれ封入された分散
    媒と、 複数の該セル空間内の該分散媒にそれぞれ分散
    され互いに色調の異なる電気泳動粒子と、よりな
    り、 それぞれの該セル空間内の該透明電極は視認側
    から見たときに重なり合う位置および重なり合わ
    ない位置にそれぞれ設けられ、印加電圧の極性の
    反転によりそれぞれの該電気泳動粒子が重なり合
    う位置の該透明電極と重なり合わない位置の該透
    明電極とに択一的に付着するようにしたことを特
    徴とする電気泳動表示素子。
