An annular step chain 6 is wound between the side step sprocket 4 and the driven side step sprocket 5 provided on the lower step (horizontal part) of the truss 1, and connected to this in an endless manner, and the step roller 7a
, 7b guided by a step rail (not shown) is run, and a rubber handrail 8 is run in synchronization with the step 7 to continuously transport passengers.

I choose the one with the highest floor height. For this reason, often
The floor height of the escalator is higher than the floor height of the building, and when the escalator is installed in the building, the bottom of the upper floor side horizontal portion of the truss 1 is lower on the support portion 12 side (the right side in the figure).

However, in indoor escalators, this accumulation of oil does not pose much of a problem.

この改善が望まれていた。(Problem to be Solved by the Invention) However, in an outdoor escalator installed outside a building, rainwater that has entered the inside of the escalator also collects on the support part 12 side of the horizontal part 10a on the upper floor. The rainwater evaporates due to the heat generated by energizing the drive device 2, creating a humid environment, and the drive device 2 and other mechanical parts are exposed to a high temperature and humidity atmosphere for a long period of time. This may cause a decrease in the reliability and safety of these devices due to deterioration of insulation performance, corrosion, etc.
This improvement was desired.

That is, one end of the drain pipe 13 may be fixed to the upper floor side horizontal part 10a using an adhesive instead of being connected by a flange to simplify the structure of the connection part, and the other end of the drain pipe 13 Instead of connecting the end to the inclined part 10b, as shown in FIG.
0 or directly to the oil drain pipe 11 as shown in FIG. In addition, as shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, the bottom plate at the end of the support section of the upper horizontal section 10a is bent downward to form a recess 21.
1 and one end of the drain pipe 13 may be connected by a flange to speed up the drainage of rainwater, as shown in FIGS. 9 and 10.
As shown in the figure, one end of the drain pipe 13 is flange-connected or fixed with adhesive to the hole 14 provided in the edge (rising part) 22 of the upper horizontal part 10a on the support part side. You can do it like this. In this case, one end of the drain pipe 13 is bent in a reverse shape. Furthermore, as shown in FIGS. 11 to 14, an inverted triangular tray 23 is provided on the lower surface of the support section side end of the upper floor side horizontal section 10a, and one side of the drain pipe 13 is provided at the lower side of this tray. The ends may be connected and a plurality of holes 14 may be provided along the width direction at the bottom of the upper floor side horizontal portion 10a so that rainwater can be drained over a wide range in the width direction. As shown in FIGS. 17 to 17, a tray 24 is provided on the outer surface of the support part side end of the horizontal part 10a on the upper floor side, and the upper part is square and the lower part is inverted triangular. Connect one end of 13 and connect the upper floor side horizontal part 10
A plurality of holes 14 are provided along the width direction at the edge (rising part) of a.
may be provided so that rainwater can be drained over a wide range in the width direction. In addition, the other end of the drain pipe 13 in each of the embodiments shown in FIGS. 7 to 17 may be directly connected to the above-described oil drain pipe 11 or the above-described building drain pipe 20. The drain pipe 13 shown in FIGS. 2, 5, and 6 may be connected to a location other than the end at the upper floor horizontal portion 10a, and the recess 21 shown in FIG. may be provided at a location other than the end, and the first
In the receiver shown in FIG.
A hose made of weather-resistant rubber or synthetic resin may be used, and a gutter made of metal or synthetic resin may be used in addition to the tubular one.
