(Prior technology) Conventionally, so-called MacPherson type suspension systems have a suspension strut interposed between the steering knuckle and the vehicle body, which prevents the vehicle body from moving up and down to improve maneuverability and stability. I have to. The second suspension strut is an example of such a suspension strut.
There are some as shown in Figure and Figure 3. In the figure, a cylinder 5 constituting a suspension strut 4 is provided via an outer cylinder 6 to a steering knuckle 3 that rotatably supports a wheel 2 via a spindle l. This cylinder 5 is filled with oil. In addition, the cylinder 5 includes a piston (not shown) equipped with a damping force generation mechanism consisting of an orifice, a disc valve, etc.
is slidably stored. At the tip of the rod (hereinafter referred to as piston rod) 7 connected to this piston,
A cushion body l3 made by baking a rubber 12 is installed between the retainer IO and the plate 11 while being held between the upper and lower washers 8.9, and this is attached to the flange 1.
It is fixed with a nut l5 via an inverted hat-shaped stopper l4 having a diameter of 4a. The retainer 10 is fixed to the vehicle body 17 via a port 16. This fixation connects the vehicle body 17 and the piston rod 7 via the cushion body 13, and the suspension strut 4 is interposed between the vehicle body 17 and the axle side. An annular boss portion 12a is provided below the rubber 12 and extends in the axial direction of the piston rod 7, and a presser portion 11a is provided on the plate 11 to press the annular boss portion 12a in the radial direction.

This is a coil spring interposed between the spring bearing 19 and the upper spring bearing 20 provided on the piston rod 7. In this suspension strut 4, when vibration occurs in the coil spring l8, the cylinder 5 and the piston rod 7 are relatively displaced with a certain damping resistance to dampen the vibration of the coil spring l8, and the vehicle body 17 is This is to prevent continuous shaking in the vertical direction.

ることを目的とする。In addition, the rubber i2 receives the human force from the coil spring l8 and the input from the cylinder 5 and the piston, and provides anti-vibration support to improve riding comfort. (Problems to be Solved by the Invention) By the way, the suspension strut in -H is provided with its axial direction inclined with respect to the vertical. Therefore, when the wheels move up and down on a bumpy road, the above-mentioned suspension strut 4 swings relative to the vehicle body 17 around the tip of the piston rod 7 2 At this time,
A large lateral load F due to twisting as shown by arrow A acts on the rubber 12. On the other hand, in order to improve the ride comfort of rubber l2, it is desired that its spring characteristics be lowered. However, if the spring characteristics are low, the rubber hardness will be low as a result, and when a rubber 12 with such low hardness is used, the rod 7 and the holding part 11a alone cannot resist the above-mentioned lateral load F. At present, the rubber l2 deforms excessively, shortening its useful life, so the above-mentioned request cannot be met. The present invention was made to solve the above-mentioned problem, and an object of the present invention is to provide a strut that can withstand a predetermined amount of lateral load without increasing its shape and can improve riding comfort.

In the suspension strut 2l, the retainer 10 is attached to the vehicle body l7, thereby connecting the vehicle body l7 and the piston rod 7 via the cushion body l3, and connecting the base end of the cylinder 5 to the axle. Rubber 12. An annular boss portion 12a located around the piston rod 7 and extending in the axial direction is provided on the lower side of the plate 11, and a presser portion 11a for pressing the annular boss portion L2a against the piston rod 7 is provided on the plate 11. An annular boss portion 12b extending in the axial direction of the piston rod 7 above l2
are provided, and a presser portion 10a. which holds the annular boss portion 12b between the retainer IO and the upper washer 8. 8a, respectively.

While being supported by the presser portion 11a and the presser portion 10a, which are provided apart from each other so as to be located on the upper side, it receives the lateral load caused by the rocking motion. rubber l2
Even if a large lateral load is applied to the rubber l2, a large shearing force can be suppressed by being supported by the holding part 11a and the holding part 10a, which are provided at the lower side and upper II+. It turns out.

A canopy part 14b is provided that extends outwardly so as to reach the holding part 10a of the O. The operation of the suspension strut 2L configured as above will be explained. This suspension strut 21 suppresses the vibration of the coil spring l8 similarly to the suspension strut 4 described above, and the rubber I2 suppresses the vibration of the coil spring l8.
It receives the input from 8 and the input from the cylinder 5 and piston, and provides vibration-proof support to improve riding comfort.

きるという効果を有する。Also, the lateral load F due to twisting as shown by arrow A in Figure 2
In addition to the piston rod 7i5 and the holding part 11a described above, in addition to this, the holding part 1 of the retainer lO is
0a b and the holding portion 8a of the upper washer 8 resist this lateral load F. Therefore, even if the piston rod T swings around the tip of the piston rod T due to vertical movement of the wheel and receives a large lateral load F, the rubber l2 will be supported by the upper and lower sides of the rubber l2. Therefore, no large shearing force acts on the rubber l2, and there is no possibility of damaging the rubber l2. In this way, move rubber l2 to rubber l2.
Since it is supported on the upper and lower sides, the lateral load F applied by swinging is absorbed by the holding portion 8a. IO
a. lla, and the device can be made more compact.6 Also, since it can withstand the large lateral load F as described above, the rubber hardness of the rubber 12 can be lowered to use one with low spring characteristics. This makes it possible to improve ride comfort. Further, when the vehicle body l7 is displaced in the vertical direction and the amount of displacement with respect to the piston rod 7 exceeds a certain level, the eaves part 14b of the stopper L4 and the presser part 1 (la) of the retainer 1ro come into contact and the rubber 12 is prevented from deforming. becomes. For this reason,
Even if a large force is applied due to vertical displacement, the rubber l2 will not be damaged. (Effects of the Invention) As explained above, the present invention can suppress the action of large shearing force even if a large lateral load is applied to the rubber, so it can withstand large lateral loads without making the shape too large. As a result, it is possible to lower the hardness of the rubber and use one with low spring characteristics, which has the effect of improving riding comfort.
