Abstract

PURPOSE:To simply obtain correct connection polarity at a subscriber's equip ment by registering the polarity detected at power ON into a polarity registra tion memory and discriminating the operating state of a subscriber terminal equipment based on the registered polarity relation. CONSTITUTION:The power supply of a subscriber's equipment is turned on and the initial step is proceeded, then a CPU 2 detects a voltage of talking lines L1, L2 to detect the polarity. When the voltage between X and Y is, e.g., 48V, the connection terminals X,Y are regarded to be connected to the talking lines L1, L2 and the CPU 2 sets '1' to a memory 3 as a polarization registration data. On the other hand, when the voltage is -48V, the terminals X,Y are connected to the talking lines L2, L1 and the CPU 2 registers '2' to the memory 3. When the voltage between X and Y is 48V, the polarity registration data registered in the memory 3 is discriminated and when the data is '1' off-talk communication is attained. On the other hand, when the polarity data is '2', it is discriminated that the polarity condition is not satisfied to disable the off-talk communication.

As a result, the information signal from the information center device 200 is transferred to the channel switching circuit 113. The signal is sent to the home device 130 via the changeover switch 31 and the communication line 140, and in the home device 130, it is output from the speaker 300 through the changeover switch S2 and the amplifier 134. To convert the information transmission channel, the control section 1 is operated by operating the operation section 131.
36, a predetermined signal is sent from a signal sending means (not shown) to the communication line 140, and the line state detection circuit 112 detects this signal, thereby switching the channel switching circuit 11.
The switching takes place at 3.

During information transmission by off-talk communication, the telephone 12
0, the incoming call detection circuit 111 detects an incoming call signal from the exchange 100, switches the selector switch 31 from the broken line position to the solid line position by the action of a control unit (not shown), and sends the call from the communication line 140 to the information center. Disconnect device 200. As a result, the incoming call signal from the exchange 100 is detected by the incoming call detection circuit 133 of the home device 130, and the controller 135 thereby switches the changeover switch S2 from the broken line position to the solid line position, and the telephone 120 is transferred to the communication line 140. It is connected to the exchange 100 through. Therefore, by taking the telephone 120 off-hook, it is possible to make a telephone call.

Furthermore, if the telephone 120 is off-hook while transmitting information by off-talk communication, a DC loop is formed, so the off-footer detection circuit 132 detects this and the controller 135 moves the selector switch S2 to the dashed line position. to the solid line position to connect the telephone 120 to the communication line 140. Furthermore, this state is detected by the line state detection circuit 11.
2, the changeover switch S is detected and illustrated by the control unit.
By switching t from the dashed line position to the solid line position, telephone 120 is connected to exchange 100 through communication line 140. This allows normal outgoing calls from telephone 120.

Please refer to FIG. When the telephone 120 is in the on-footer state (at this time, off-talk communication is possible), the state of the line 140 is that the A line on the exchange side across the in-office equipment is at -48V, and the B line is at G. (ground potential)
The L2 line on the terminal side is at -48V, and the L1 line is at G (ground potential). Therefore, the detector 136 detects DC 36 V or more (this condition is defined as (a)), and the polarity condition is that L2 is -4 8 V, L IJ{G (.: (7)
Detects the condition (1:l). In other words,
When the detector 136 detects conditions (a) and (b), it is determined that the telephone 120 is in the on-footer state.

Similarly, if the telephone 120 is in the receiving operation state, the state of the line 140 is 16H for calling between the A line and the B line.
The alternating current of z is superimposed, and the terminal side is in a state where a melody (bell) between the L2 line and the Ll line rings. As a result detector 1

When the detector 136 detects conditions (c) and (2), it is determined that the telephone 120 is in the incoming call operation state.

? When the telephone 120 is in the talking operation state, the polarity of the line 140 is reversed between the A line and the B line, and as a result, the detector 136 detects 36 V DC or less. (Condition (e)), as a polarity condition, L2 is G,
Ll detects -48v (condition (2)). In other words, when the detector 136 detects the condition (E) and the condition (2), it is determined that the telephone 120 is in the talking operation state.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] As explained above, in the conventional off-talk communication system, when connecting the home device 130 to the communication lines LL and L2, it is impossible to connect the home device 130 to the communication lines LL and L2 unless the polarity is mistaken. There was a problem. That is, the voltage polarity detector 136
detects the polarity and voltage between communication lines Ll and L2,
Since the operating state of the telephone 120 is determined by this, the in-home device 130 is first connected to the communication lines Ll, L.
2, if the intended polarity is mistaken and the connection is reversed, the subsequent detection results by the voltage polarity detector 136 will be different, making it impossible to determine the operating state of the telephone I02 at all.

Construction work to implement the off-talk communication method is often carried out from the home equipment side, and if you later complete the work on the station example and try to perform off-talk communication, you will have to change the polarity when connecting the home equipment to the communication line. There may be cases where you are unable to carry out the project because you made a mistake. In this case, the construction worker has to go back and correct the connection polarity, which is very cumbersome.

When the power is turned on, the in-home device detects the polarity relationship in which it is connected to the two communication lines of positive polarity and negative polarity that make up the communication line, and registers the detected polarity relationship. In short, in the present invention, the connection terminals X,
Is Y connected to communication lines L2, Ll?
The standard for determining the status of the telephone is changed depending on whether it is connected to the connection terminal X. Regardless of the polarity of the Y connection, the software executed by the CPU 2 is designed to be able to determine the state of the telephone.

C. Effects of the Invention] As explained above, according to the present invention, even if the polarity is incorrect when connecting a home device to a communication line, the correct polarity connection can be established by turning the power back on and performing the initial settings. This is the same thing as if the construction work had been done, and there is no need for the workers to go out to do the construction work again, which has the advantage of eliminating the troublesome work that previously occurred.

1) The station side is equipped with an information center, and the in-home equipment on the subscriber terminal side is equipped with information receiving equipment. In the home device in the off-talk communication method that sends information signals to the information receiving equipment of the home device via a communication line, the home device has two communication lines of positive polarity and negative polarity that make up the communication line. and a registration means for detecting what kind of polarity relationship the two communication lines are connected to when the power is turned on and registering the detected polarity relationship in a polarity registration memory, and thereafter monitoring the polarity and voltage of the two communication lines. In the off-talk communication method, the off-talk communication method is characterized by comprising: a determination means for determining the operating state of the subscriber terminal in preparation for off-talk communication based on the polarity relationship registered in the polarity registration memory.
