CONSTITUTION:The film-like heater 4 for heating is attached along the inner peripheral surface of the photosensitive drum 2 held by a drum fixing chuck 1 and a temp. sensor 3 is installed. The temp. of the photosensitive drum 2 is sensed by the temp. sensor 3 and while the temp. of the photosensitive drum 2 is controlled by adjusting the heat capacity of the heater 4 in accordance with the output signal of the temp. sensor 3, the photosensitive drum 2 is immersed into the coating liquid in a coating compd. tank 5 to coat the outer peripheral surface of the photosensitive drum 2 with the coating liquid. 方法は、被塗布物を加温する等の温度コントロールは行
なわれていないため、厚膜を塗布する場合、一般に塗布
に使用する溶剤は低沸点の揮発性の大きい溶剤に限られ
てしまい、溶剤の選択性はなく、又、塗布後の感光ドラ
ムは乾燥機中で乾燥を行ない製膜されていた。

なってしまう。また、高沸点溶剤を用いた場合、常温の
塗料、常温の被塗布物で浸漬塗布を行なっても厚膜を形
成することはできなかった。また、高沸点溶剤を用いた
塗料を加温した場合、塗料の温度コントロールは難しく
、濃度も変化しやすくなり、被塗布物の膜厚は不安定と
なっていた。浸漬塗布後の乾燥は一般に乾燥機等の装置
を用いて行なっていた。
