Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide improved running performance on an icy and snowy road and a dry road by forming engaging grooves in a prescribed shape on tread surfaces of a tire which forms a running wheel, and making a chain in a prescribed shape to engage with the engaging grooves so that it may be engaged and disengaged for easy installation and removal of the chain. CONSTITUTION:In a tire 1 which forms a running wheel 10, there are provided a code layer on the inside 11 and a rubber layer 13 on tread surfaces 12 side respectively. With this constitution, engaging grooves 15 which meet the shape of a chain 20 are formed in a circumferential direction of the tread surfaces 12. Besides, on the tread surfaces 12, plural grooves 16 which cross the engaging grooves 15 and lead to a side wall 14 side of the tire 1 are formed. On the other hand, the chain 20 is formed by connecting, for example, plural stopping pieces 21 and connecting pieces 22 in one staggered line, whereas the above engaging grooves 15 are formed in a staggered shape which meets the shape of the above chain 20. The chain 20 is engaged with the engaging grooves 15, and then screw pins 26 are inserted/removed in/from the above grooves 16 to stick the chain 20 for engagement and disengagement.

In addition, the chains that are attached to tires are generally made of a combination of chains or made of resin, etc.
Such a chain is attached to the tread surface of a tire by being wrapped around it so as to cover the tread surface. A method of locking a chain attached to a tire is to attach annular locking members to the arcuate part of the chain wrapped around the side of the tire (generally the sidewall) at approximately equal intervals.
Generally speaking, tires are held in place by applying tension using rubber or springs.6 (Problems to be Solved by the Invention) However, in the case of the above-mentioned conventional running wheels, spiked tires do not provide sufficient grip on the road surface on snowy roads. Although it is good,
When the snow is gone, the spiked tire pins will catch on the road surface. This caused problems such as the scraping of the road surface, which caused dust pollution.9 Also, when chains are attached to regular tires, the chains are wrapped around the ties. Since it is not directly engaged with the tire, it is not firmly fixed. Therefore, there may be problems such as accidents such as chain breakage due to rattling when driving. Ta.

In the above embodiment, since the tire 1 of the running wheel 10 is removably engaged with the chain 20, 30, when driving on a snowy road, the tire 1 is fitted with the chain 20, 30, and the spikes can be removed. Like tires, grip performance on snowy roads is improved. Then, when driving on a paved road after the snow melts, the chain 20.30 can be removed from the tire 1 and used as a normal tire.
At a temperature of 30°, it will no longer catch on the road surface and will not cause dust pollution.

- [Effects of the Invention] As described above, in the running wheel according to the present invention, multiple rows of engagement grooves that match the shape of the chain are formed in the circumferential direction of the trend surface of the tire, and the chain is inserted into these engagement grooves. Since the chain is removably engaged and a part of the chain is exposed from the tread surface of the tire, depending on the usage condition (road surface condition), the chain can be attached to the tire having the engagement groove when driving on snowy roads. By engaging a chain in the matching groove, you can drive on snowy roads, and when you are not driving on snowy roads, you can remove the chain and use it as a regular tire.

Therefore, when driving on snowy roads, the grip of the running wheels with chains is improved, and when driving on paved roads after melting snow, by removing the chains from the running wheels, the chains can pull the road surface. This eliminates the need for dust pollution.
