Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a contact state constant by providing a gimbals spring having plural rings, and overlapping and bonding a guard with a large diameter projecting from the outer circumferential face of a head slider onto its center ring, thereby reinforcing the center ring. CONSTITUTION:A guard 1a with a large diameter projecting from the outer circumferential face of a head slider 1 is overlapped and bonded onto its center ring 2a of a gimbals spring 2. The top slide face of the slider 1 is brought into contact with a flexible disk and pressed onto the flexible just above with the spring 2. In such a state, the information signal of the flexible disk is able to be recorded/reproduced by the slider 1. Since the guard 1a of the slider 1 is overlapped and bonded onto the ring 2a of the spring 2, the stiffness is large and even when minute vibration caused on the flexible disk is delivered to the ring 2a via the slider 1, the center ring is not resonated.
