2重煙突は、2重筒内部の保温用としてキヤス
タブル材等の保温材を使用したものがある。この
キヤスタブル材が通煙により加熱されると、キヤ
スタブル材に施工時の余剰水が生じるが、この余
剰水の逃げ道がない場合、2重筒内部の内圧が上
昇して円筒が内側にふくれたり、外筒の溶接部が
切断され、ここから余剰水が吹き出して外部を汚
損する等のおそれがある。このような問題を解決
する方法として、第6図に示すように、2重煙突
の内筒1に一定の間隔で水抜き孔2を設ける方法
もあるが、このようにすると水抜き孔2を通して
腐食性の排ガスが断熱用のキヤスタブル材3の内
部に侵入し、キヤスタブル材3や内筒1、外筒4
の鋼板を腐食させることになり、これでは煙突を
2重筒にする意味がない。また外筒4に一定の間
隔で水抜き孔5を設ける方法もあるが、このよう
にするとキヤスタブル材3の余剰水が水抜き孔5
から吹きだして外面を汚損してしまう。また水抜
き管6を設ける方法もあるが、このようにすると
外観を損なうばかりでなく、コスト高になつてし
まい、いずれも実際的な方法とはいえなかつた。

損の恐れもない水抜き用通路を備えた2重煙突を
得ることを目的とする。

筒の内部Cに流し込む。

き用の通路Dに集められる。その後水抜き用通路
Dを自然落下して、2重煙突下部に導びかれ、横
引管20により矢印Eで示される煙突外部に集水
される。なお図中Gは2重煙突の基礎部を示して
いる。
