Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject feed for piglets, especially as a milk replacer for new-born pigs excellent in taste, high in feed intake and excellent in solubility in water or hot water by adding a vinegar to a feed raw material for piglets, granulating the resultant mixture and simultaneously drying the granulated feed. CONSTITUTION:To a feed raw material for piglets mainly composed of a powdery milk, grain powder, etc., a vinegar such as rice vinegar is added in an amount of about 1-10wt.% and the resultant mixture is granulated while adding water as necessary. The granulated feed is subsequently dried to <= about 12wt.% water content, preferably to <= about 10wt.%.

In order to improve productivity in pig farming management, it is important to increase the growth rate of piglets and improve their growth performance. Factors that reduce the growth rate of piglets include ■ Death of the sow ■ Low milk production of the sow ■ Too many piglets and not enough milk ■ Piglets are weak and cannot suckle adequately. In order to solve these factors, increase the growth rate of piglets, and improve their growth performance, the characteristics of feed for piglets required are good palatability, high penetration, reduced weaning stress,
Conventional finely powdered piglet feed is granulated into granular feed because it promotes smooth growth and allows piglets to grow healthily. Compared to this, I am still not satisfied. On the other hand, so-called milk substitutes for piglets have been attempted, in which these powdered feeds or granular feeds are dissolved in water or hot water and given to piglets to drink, but due to palatability, it is difficult to dissolve the feed in water or hot water. When dissolved, bacteria proliferate, resulting in poor storage stability, and the dissolved feed coagulates.

The present invention improves the palatability and storage stability, which are the drawbacks of conventional feeds for piglets, and also increases the appetite of piglets when fed to piglets, reducing the amount of piglets fed and the amount of increased pay. Our goal is to provide feed that can improve and raise vitality of piglets.

The inventors of the present invention have conducted various studies to solve the above-mentioned problems, and found that they added vinegar to piglet feed ingredients, granulated and dried them, dissolved these piglet feeds in water or hot water, or fed them as they were. They found that the above problems could be solved by doing so, and completed the present invention.

That is, the present invention is a feed for piglets that is characterized by adding vinegar to a feed material for piglets, granulating it, and drying it. When the feed is dissolved in water or hot water, it has a good shelf life, provides piglet feed that does not curdle, reduces the weaning stress of piglets, eliminates the occurrence of diarrhea, promotes smooth growth, and promotes smooth growth of piglets. The purpose is to raise pigs in a healthy manner.

As the vinegar added to feed materials for piglets, brewed vinegars such as rice vinegar, sake lees vinegar, malt vinegar, alcoholic vinegar, apple vinegar, grape vinegar, distilled vinegars of these vinegars, synthetic vinegars, etc. can be used. Vinegar is preferred, especially rice vinegar. In addition, the amount of vinegar to be added can be appropriately selected depending on the acidity of the vinegar, but if the acidity is on the level of table vinegar, the amount of vinegar added is 1 to 1.
It is desirable to add 10%.

If the particle size of the feed is increased, it will be difficult to dissolve in water, and if fed as feed, it will be difficult to chew, so it is desirable to granulate the feed to an extent that improves fluidity. When adding water, it is desirable to take into account the amount of vinegar added and adjust the water addition rate accordingly.

If the raw material has a low water content (if the granulation is performed under conditions where the amount of vinegar added or the rate of water addition is low), there is almost no need for drying.

Table 3 [Effects of the Invention] The feed for piglets of the present invention has vinegar added and is granulated and dried, so it is rich in fluidity and can be adapted to mechanization and labor saving such as automatic feeding in pig farms. No bridging occurs with feeders. In addition, when dissolved in water or hot water and fed to piglets, it has good fluidity, making it easy to handle and has excellent solubility. Moreover, the dissolved milk does not grow bacteria, maintains its quality, and does not coagulate. It has the effect of not occurring.

Furthermore, the effects of adding vinegar include good palatability and bite for piglets, and good growth and bite by piglets. In addition, when feeding conventional piglet feed as milk, there were disadvantages such as the piglets being prone to diarrhea, but the piglet feed of the present invention may cause such problems due to the addition of vinegar. There are no harmful effects, and it can reduce weaning stress and promote smooth growth.
