Abstract

PURPOSE:To inhibit extrusion of the material for forming oil seal by placing a material piece for molding a diaphragm part on the outer part of a reinforcing ring and furthermore superposing a second mold wherein a supporting projection is provided to the top face of a cavity opposed to the end edge in the opposite side of the flange of the reinforcing ring. CONSTITUTION:The flange 6 of a reinforcing ring 5 is externally fitted to an annular projection 12 provided to the central part of a first forming mold 10. A material piece for molding an oil seal part is placed on the inner part of the reinforcing ring 5. Then a material piece for molding a diaphragm part is placed on the outer part of the reinforcing ring 5. A second forming mold 11 is superposed wherein a supporting projection 20 is provided to the top face 17 of a cavity opposed to the end edge 7 in the opposite side of the flange 6 of the reinforcing ring 5. Thereafter the first and second forming molds 10, 11 are heated and pressurized and both the oil seal part 1 and the diaphragm part 3 are vulcanized and molded and also bonded to the reinforcing ring 5. Thereby the required oil seal fitted with the diaphragm is obtained.

Description

して使用されるダイアフラム付オイルシールをHitす

ダイアフラム部3に接着されて介在しており,オイルシ
ール部1の内周側に,低摩擦性を備えた合威樹脂材料を
もって製作され、回転軸に外挿されて回転軸に対するオ
イルシール部1の同芯性を保持させるプッシュ9が挿入
されている.オイルシール部1の成形用材料は、耐摩耗
性の面から選定され,ダイアフラム部3の成形用材料は
,耐候性,耐屈曲性の面から選定され、通常、両材料は

の或形は、第4図に示す成形型を用いて同図および第5

状に相当する成形キャビティを形成する第1の成形型1

シールリップ2の背部および補強環5の間に形威される
環状空間に相当する形状を備えた環状突起12に、補強
環5のフランジG側を外挿するとともに、オイルシール
部成形用材料片l4を環状突起l2の内側に,ダイアフ

程から第5図の最終加圧状態へ移行する際に,余分の材
料が外方へ排出されるが、その一部が補強環5のフラン
ジ6および第1の或形型10の底面16の間に進入して
補強環5を第2の成形型ll側へ押し上げ、反対側の端
縁7を該Q縁7と対向する第2の成形型11のキャビテ
ィ項面17に密接させるために、オイルシール部成形用
材料の余材が、補強環5および環状突起12の嵌合隙間
を通って押し出され、実機への装着時において,密封対
象液に浸漬されるダイアフラム部の表面部分(第3図上
に符号Aを付して示す.)へはみ出し2A部へのはみ出
しに伴って下記する不具合を惹起する.■ オイルシー
ル部成形用材料とダイアフラム部或形用材料との間に剥
離を生じて破壊を招く.■ 両方の材料の接合部から侵
入した水等が,補強環5に錆を発生させ、この発錆によ
り、 a.プッシュ9に対する保持力を低下させてプッシュ9
