In manufacturing this mirror-polished stainless steel sheet, the material is generally stainless steel strip (S
US304 annealed material) is used.

It is no exaggeration to say that this is completely unacceptable. Therefore, as a matter of course, there are very strict requirements regarding the properties (surface condition, flatness, etc.) of the stainless steel strip used as the raw material, and great care is taken in its manufacture and processing.

Subsequently, after cutting into a predetermined size using a shear (3), the surface condition (mainly the condition of surface flaws) is inspected. Steel plates that are judged to be acceptable in this inspection process are transferred to a polishing process where they are mirror-polished, and a protective film (5) is applied to the polished surface of the polished steel plate (4) to produce a product plate.

Even if a stainless steel strip is manufactured with surface cleaning treatment that is considered sufficient, it is actually extremely difficult to completely prevent minute foreign matter from adhering to the surface. .

It is also more difficult in practice to prevent the particles from adhering to the surface.

As a result, pinhole defects appear on the surface of the product after mirror polishing, which is unacceptable for a mirror polished stainless steel sheet.

に特徴を有している。The present invention has been made based on the above-mentioned findings, etc. [Manufacture of mirror-polished stainless steel plate by leveling an rewound stainless steel strip to correct its flatness, cutting it, and subjecting it to surface polishing. In this method, as shown in Fig. 1, an elastic resin film (6) is pasted on the surface of the raw stainless steel strip before leveling, and leveling is carried out in this state, resulting in extremely good surface properties. It is characterized by the ability to stably manufacture mirror-polished stainless steel sheets with high yield.

However, if you apply a leveler after pasting an elastic resin film in this way, even if foreign matter is attached to the surface of the stainless steel strip, the pushing force of the leveler roll during leveling will be reduced by the elastic resin. This is absorbed by the elasticity and thickness of the membrane, effectively preventing the generation of indentation pressure on the surface of the tuning band.
