本考案は歯科治療において、根管充填直前には
重要な処置であるところの根管洗浄後の根管乾燥
に用いて有用な根管乾燥用アピカルブローチに関

根尖部根管の確実な乾燥をおこなうことは、困難
である。特に、長い作業長を有する根管の乾燥は
至難の技である。

る症例では、上顎犬歯のような長い作業長を有す
る根管でも本考案によれば綿花は根管の形態に自
然と整形され、アピカルシート部まで確実に到達
する。したがつて従来のブローチ綿花法で十分に
乾燥できたと判断した後にアピカルブローチ綿花
法を用いたところ、綿花先端に水分の吸収が観察
されたというケースが多く経験された。根管の清
掃と根管形成が確実であれば、作業長を守つて接
作する限り患者が疼痛を訴えることはない。ま
た、万一、アピカルブローチの先端が綿花から突
出してもアピカルシートの傾斜面にて停止するた
め、根尖部歯周組織に達してその部を損傷するこ

回転して引き抜くと、根管によく適合した貼薬綿
栓をおくことができ、根管内に用いる各種薬剤の
効能効果が確実となる点(根管貼薬)。さらには
あらかじめ根管の形態に整形しておいたアピカル
ブローチ綿花を用いてsealer(シーラー)を根管
内に搬入し、回転しながらアピカルシートまで挿
入すると、根管壁に確実に塗布することができる
点。また、旧根管充填材除去後に根管壁に残存し
たガツタパーチヤを除去する場合にアピカルブロ
ーチ綿花にクロロホルムをひたして回転しながら
根管壁に圧接すると力が入るので能率的であり、
根尖部根管に残留したガツタパーチヤも溶解して
