BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION In recent years, laminated paper containers having a top closure of the Goebel top type have been used as containers for various beverages. Such containers include those whose cross-sectional shape of the container body is square and rectangular. Generally, the latter is a container with a relatively larger capacity than the former. One reason for this is that when increasing the capacity while the height of the container is limited, the width of the body also increases, making it inconvenient to handle (grip) the container; In the case where the width in one direction remains the same and only the width in other directions is increased (in the latter case), this is because the container can be easily grasped. FIG. 22 is a perspective view showing an example of a container whose body has a rectangular cross-sectional shape, and the container 101 has a body 102 and a top closing portion 105 of a Gobel top type. Torso 10
2 is a pair of narrow body panels 103, 10 facing each other;
3 and a pair of wide body panels 104, 104, and is a rectangular parallelepiped body having a rectangular cross-sectional shape.

The Gobel-top top closure 105 then has a central laminated rib 106 parallel to the body panel 104, 104, ie parallel to the long side of the rectangular cross-section of the body. The central laminated rib 106 is obtained by polymerizing and bonding the upper ends of the roof panels 107° 107 connected to the body panels 104, 104. To pour out the beverage filled in this container 101,
A spout 1 provided in the roof panel 107 as shown in the illustration

However, in the above-described container 101, when pouring out the contents, the roof panel 10 on which the spout 108 is disposed
It is necessary to hold the container so that the body panel 104 connected to the container 7 faces downward. That is, it is necessary to spread the hand across the width of the wide body panel 104 of the body part 102 to grasp it, but if the container is relatively large and there is a considerable amount of content remaining, it is necessary to grasp the container in this way. The problem is that it is difficult.

In order to achieve such an object, the present invention comprises a rectangular parallelepiped body having a rectangular cross-sectional shape and comprising a set of wide body panels and a set of narrow body panels facing each other; A container having a Goebel-top type top closure formed at one open end of the rectangular parallelepiped body, and a bottom closure formed at the other open end of the rectangular parallelepiped body. The structure is such that a central laminated rib is formed parallel to the short side of the rectangular cross section.

According to the present invention as described above, the rectangular parallelepiped body is formed at one opening end of a rectangular parallelepiped body consisting of a pair of wide body panels and a set of narrow body panels facing each other and having a rectangular cross-sectional shape. Since the central laminated rib is provided on the top closure of the Goebel top type so that it is parallel to the short side of the rectangular cross section, the contents can be poured from the spout provided in the roof panel of the top closure. When dispensing the container, the container can be gripped by straddling the narrow body panel, making it extremely easy to handle.
