PURPOSE:To enable dressing of lumber at favorable yielding by even an amateur and moreover an improvement in operation efficiency, by a method wherein a diameter class of a log is measured, an operated running position centering around its center is sawn, then the surface sawn previously is made into the bottom by turning a sawing material by a fixed angle and the operated running position centering around the center of the log is sawn again.
