された複数のクラツチ爪とを有し、前記従動側回
転部材には前記クラツチ爪の先端を当接させて該
クラツチ爪の回動範囲を規制するストツパ部が設
けられている従動側ユニツトと、 前記複数のクラツチ爪にそれぞれ当接する複数
の突起を外周部から外側に突出させた構造を有し
て前記従動側回転部材と同心的に配置される駆動
側回転部材と、該駆動側回転部材を回転駆動する
始動用電動機とを備えた駆動側ユニツトとからな
る内燃機関始動装置において、 前記駆動側回転部材の外周部は該駆動側回転部
材が前記従動側回転部材と同心的に配置された状
態で前記従動側回転部材のストツパ部よりも径方
向の内側に位置する領域を有するように形成され
ていることを特徴とする内燃機関始動装置。 (2) 内燃機関の回転軸に取り付けられる従動側
回転部材と、前記従動側回転部材に回動自在に支
持されて該回転部材の径方向の内側にバネで付勢
された複数のクラツチ爪とを有し、前記従動側回

の突起を外周部から外側に突出させた構造を有し
て前記従動側回転部材と同心的に配置される駆動
側回転部材と、該駆動側回転部材を回転駆動する
始動用電動機とを備えた駆動側ユニツトとからな
る内燃機関始動装置において、 前記クラツチ爪の先端部付近の前記駆動側回転
部材の外周部に対向する側の肩部に前記駆動側ユ
ニツト側に向うに従つて該クラツチ爪の先端部の
幅寸法を小さくする向きのテーパまたはアールが

回転部材と、前記従動側回転部材に回動自在に支
持されて該回転部材の径方向の内側にバネで付勢
された複数のクラツチ爪とを有し、前記従動側回
転部材には前記クラツチ爪の先端を当接させて該
クラツチ爪の回動範囲を規制するストツパ部が設
けられている従動側ユニツトと、 前記複数のクラツチ爪にそれぞれ当接する複数
の突起を外周部から外側に突出させた構造を有し
て前記従動側回転部材と同心的に配置される駆動
側回転部材と、該駆動側回転部材を回転駆動する
始動用電動機とを備えた駆動側ユニツトとからな
