Abstract

PURPOSE:To sufficiently mix body and a pigment with each other, prevent irregularity in shades of color of a pottery product and improve a tone of color of the product by mixing a coloring pigment with granulated or powdered body being the main raw material to make primary colored body, forming this body into a formed product by pressure forming, and then grinding it to obtain the colored body. CONSTITUTION:Granulated or powdered body is used as a main raw material, and a coloring pigment is mixed therewith to prepare the primary colored body 1. This primary colored body is then formed into a formed product 2 having a suitable shape by pressure forming. Each of the particles 3 of the primary colored body has a surface having recesses and protrusions, and the pigment 4 is in the state of attaching in the form of a small lump to a recessed part 5. Due to the pressure forming, however, the particles 3 increase their bulk density to be flattened, and the pigment 4 is also flattened to be in a dispersed state. Then, by grinding the formed product to convert it into the colored body 6, each particle 3 of the flattened body and the pigment 4 are fractured, whereby the body and the pigment are well mixed with each other. Further, since the bulk density of the body is increased, fine powder is less generated even by grinding. When this ground body is used as a raw material to produce a pottery product, irregularity in shades of color due to the pigment 4 can be eliminated and the product having a good tone of color can be obtained.

[Conventional technology] Conventionally, in the production of colored clay, as shown in Figure 4, coloring pigments are added to granular clay obtained by a spray dryer or to powdered clay obtained by crushing a cake. The colored clay was mixed to form 4h clay, and this colored clay was supplied as a raw material for ceramics.

[Invention or problem to be solved] However, when the above-mentioned coloring molder is used as a raw material, and it is molded and fired to make ceramic products such as tiles, the product will have unevenness of coloring and the product will be different. This caused the problem of spoiling the color. The cause of such unevenness is that the surface of each particle of the clay has irregularities, so when pigment is mixed with the clay, the pigment adheres in lumps to the depressions, causing pigment adhesion spots. It is thought that this is caused by the appearance of colored spots during the firing process.

Therefore, the present invention solves the above-mentioned problems of the prior art by properly mixing pigments with clay, preventing unevenness of coloring due to pigments during ceramic firing, and improving the color tone of ceramic products. In other words, the present invention is to mix a coloring pigment into granular or powdered sweat soil as the main raw material to obtain a primary colored liver soil. The gist of the present invention is a method for producing colored clay, which is characterized in that the primary colored clay is then pressure-molded to form a molded product, and then this molded product is crushed to obtain colored clay.

[Function] In this method, the primary colored clay in which the pigment is mixed with the clay has irregularities on the surface of each particle of the clay, resulting in uneven adhesion of the pigment. However, by pressure-molding this primary colored clay, each particle of the clay increases its bulk density and becomes flattened, and at this time, the pigment that has adhered in lumps to the recesses on the particle surface is also flattened and dispersed. Therefore, each particle of colored clay obtained by pulverizing the colored clay is a good mixture of clay and pigment.

The main raw material is powdered clay made by pulverizing 0 mesh granular clay or cake using a crusher, and a pigment that develops the desired color after firing is mixed with the above main raw material clay to produce primary colored clay. In addition to the above, there is no problem in mixing coarse particles such as stone or olivine with a size of 20 mesh or less as necessary. In this case, the ratio of coarse particles to the above clay is preferably 30% by weight or less, and 50% by weight. If it exceeds this, it will be difficult to tighten the pottery later when firing.

Then, as shown in FIG. 2a, before pressure molding, each particle 3 of the primary colored liver soil has an uneven surface, and the pigment 4 is attached to the concave portion 5 of the particle 3 in a lumpy state. By the pressure forming, the particles 3 increase their bulk density and become flattened, and the pigment 4 also becomes flattened and dispersed, as shown in FIG. 2b.

In this pulverization, each particle 3 of the clay and the pigment 4, which were flattened by the pressure molding in the previous step, are broken, so the colored clay +6 obtained is a good mixture of clay and pigment. Moreover, since the bulk density of the clay is increased by pressure forming, less fine powder is generated even when crushed. The colored clay ±6 obtained in this way can be used as a raw material for ceramics such as tiles. When making ceramic products, pigment 4
The unevenness of coloration was eliminated, and a product with good color was obtained.

[Effects of the Invention] In the present invention, by pressure-molding the primary colored clay as described above, each particle of the primary colored clay is flattened, and the pigments attached in lumps to the recesses on the surface of each particle are flattened. The particles are flattened and dispersed, and each flattened particle is broken in the next crushing process, so the colored clay obtained is a good mixture of clay and pigments, which is used as a raw material for ceramics. When producing ceramic products, the unevenness of coloring caused by pigments is eliminated, and ceramic products with good quality can be obtained.
