The present invention relates to an auxiliary roller fixing device for a portable automatic planing machine, in which a cutting member is conveyed in one direction by a feed roller of an ascending/descending section and cut by a plane barrel of an ascending/descending section.

The automatic plane machine mentioned above may cut long objects that are considerably longer than the surface plate, but in such cases,
In order to convey and cut a long workpiece in a stable state, auxiliary rollers are provided on the front and rear of the surface plate, which are protruded from each other and can be rotated and folded upward via a roller link, and the height can be adjusted. This was proposed by the applicant and is published as Utility Model Application No. 1983-91402.

運搬や収納の妨げとなる問題があつた。 The above-mentioned auxiliary roller opens horizontally during cutting and protrudes in both the front and rear directions of the surface plate, and when not in use, can be rotated upward and folded for compact storage, making transportation and storage convenient. ,
Furthermore, although the roller link can be folded at an acute angle with respect to the surface of the surface plate, the auxiliary roller mentioned above is unstable because it does not have any means to hold it in the folded state, and therefore it is unstable during transportation. If the automatic planer is tilted or subjected to sudden shock or vibration when stored or stored, the auxiliary rollers will easily open and protrude, causing them to hit people or objects.
There were problems that hindered transportation and storage.

The present invention is an attempt to solve the above problem, and uses a roller link with an auxiliary roller pivoted at its tip, which is moved upward by a fulcrum pin through a properly formed leaf spring in a groove provided in a surface plate. By pivoting and collapsing the auxiliary roller, the auxiliary roller is fixed in the folded state by the spring force of the leaf spring for convenient transportation and storage, and the roller link can be rotated. The reason for this is that it can be put into the folded or used state with a single touch operation without requiring any other special operations.
That is the purpose.

In the automatic planing machine, grooves are formed on both the front and rear left and right sides of the surface plate, and the upper and lower ends of the grooves are respectively curved toward the roller link to provide spring characteristics. The above problem is solved by providing a plate spring having a substantially U-shaped cross section, and engaging the curved protrusion of the plate spring with the roller link when the roller link is rotated and folded upward.

Hereinafter, one embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail based on the drawings. As shown in FIGS.
Grooves 2, 2, 2, 2 are formed on both left and right sides of the front and rear end portions 1a and 1b, the front end portion 1a has a substantially U-shaped planar shape, and the rear end portion 1b has a substantially U-shaped planar shape. The grooves 2 are formed in the shape of a letter 1 and penetrate to the lower end of the surface plate 1, and a plate spring 3 is interposed inside each groove 2 along one side wall 2a.

Approximately equal to or slightly wider than the width c of 4, and its depth b
When the auxiliary roller is opened almost horizontally during cutting,
The height of the auxiliary roller can be easily adjusted with an adjustment screw 8 on the upper surface 1a of the surface plate 1, and the spring pressure is released from the protrusion 3b of the plate spring to make it free by an appropriate dimension smaller than the plate thickness d. In addition, by providing the recess 3a, protrusions 3b, 3b, which protrude in the same direction and have spring properties, are provided horizontally and in parallel at the upper and lower parts of the recess 3a, respectively. Furthermore, both remaining ends of the band-shaped spring plate are bent substantially parallel to the back to provide clamping plate portions 3c, 3c, thereby making the cross section curved into a substantially U-shape.

By engaging the upper surface and the lower surface, one side wall 2a is held between the two sides, and the roller link 4 is supported inside the groove 2 with the back surface of the recess 3a abutted against the inner surface of the side wall 2a.
The base end portion of the spring 3 is located in the groove 2, and is pivotally connected to the surface plate 1 by a fulcrum pin 5 between the other side wall 2b and the recess 3a of the leaf spring 3. Here, the fulcrum pin 5 passes through the through hole 3e of the leaf spring 3 and the roller links 4, 4, and connects to both side walls 2a, 2 of the groove 2.

At a position facing the upper surface of each base end portion 4b, 4b, adjusting screws 8, 8 are screwed into screw holes 7, 7 vertically penetrating the surface plate 1 through hexagonal nuts, spring washers, etc. (not shown). By screwing them together so that they can move forward and backward and prevent them from loosening, and by abutting their tips against the upper surfaces of the base end portions 4b, 4b, the roller links 4, 4 are brought into use as shown by solid lines in FIG. By holding the adjusting screws 8 forward and backward, the roller links 4, 4 are rotated counterclockwise or clockwise in FIG.

のである。 When not in use, the roller links 4, 4 can be folded upward into a substantially vertical state as shown by the two-dot broken line in Fig. Although the roller links 4, 4 can be stored compactly, the leaf springs 3 are installed in the grooves 2, 2... of the surface plate 1 to which they are pivotally mounted.
In use, the roller links 4, 4 are held approximately horizontally along the recess 3a of the leaf spring 3, as shown in FIG. 3A, and receive the spring force of the leaf spring 3. However, when the direction of the roller links 4, 4 changes by rotating upward as described above,
The links 4, 4 are connected to the upper and lower protrusions 3 from the recess 3a.
b, 3b against the spring force, and as shown in FIG. As explained above, since the auxiliary roller fixing device for an automatic planer according to the present invention is configured,
Auxiliary rollers 6 protruding from the front and rear of the surface plate 1,
6 is rotated upward and folded, the roller links 4, 4 are fixed in the folded state by receiving the spring force of the plate springs 3, 3 and hitting the groove side wall of the surface plate 1. This prevents the auxiliary roller from opening (rotating) naturally to the operating state due to vibrations and tilting during transport or storage, increasing the safety of the transport action for this type of plane machine, which is often used for transport work. In addition, when the auxiliary rollers 6, 6 are in use, the roller links 4, 4 are located in the recesses 3a of the leaf springs 3, 3, and are free without being subjected to spring force. Moreover, since the structure is extremely simple by simply interposing the plate spring 3 having a substantially U-shaped cross section between the pivot parts of the roller links 4, 4, it can be manufactured at low cost.
