Abstract

PURPOSE:To simply and rapidly arrange fibers as a reinforcing material and to reduce the number of manufacturing processes to reduce cost by performing the bonding between the laminae of at least the outer layer parts among wooden laminae to be laminated by applying an adhesive mixed with staple fibers to the surface of one lamina and mutually bonding the laminae under pressure. CONSTITUTION:Staple fibers 7 are charged in a coating hopper 3 from a staple fiber hopper 9 and an adhesive 2 is charged in the coating hopper 3 from an adhesive hopper 10. The staple fibers 7 and the adhesive 2 are mixed in the coating hopper 3 by a stirrer 8 and the adhesive 2 mixed with the staple fiber 7 is emitted to the surface of a horizontally moving wooden lamina 1 from the outflow orifice provided at the leading end of the hopper 3. The lamina coated with the adhesive 2 mixed with the staple fibers 7 is bonded to the other lamina 1. Since the laminated wood 5 thus obtained are constituted so that the staple fibers 7 having excellent tensile characteristics and high rigidity are fixed and arranged to the outer layer part of the lamina laminate 4 by the adhesive 2, the laminated wood having high bending rigidity can be obtained.

However, in this way, wooden lamina 1 can only be used with adhesive 2.
The structural properties of conventional laminated timber, which is made by joining two pieces together, are not necessarily sufficient, especially in terms of bending properties, especially when used as structural members such as beams and columns of large-scale buildings, as mentioned above. There is a problem in that the cross section has to be large.

In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the present invention provides a method for manufacturing a laminated timber formed by laminating and bonding a plurality of wooden lamina, in which at least the outer layer of the laminated wooden lamina is bonded using a mixture of short fibers. Applying the adhesive to one lamina surface and pressing the lamina together, and mixing the short fibers with the adhesive are done by putting the short fibers and adhesive into a coating hopper with a built-in stirrer, and then applying the adhesive. The gist of this method is to discharge a mixture of short fibers and adhesive toward the lamina surface from the outlet of the hopper.

In the laminated timber 5 obtained in this way, the high-rigidity short fibers 7 with excellent tensile properties are included in the outer layer of the laminated lamina 4, that is, in the part that becomes the tensile side and tends to elongate when subjected to a bending load. Since the short fibers 7 are fixed and arranged with the adhesive 2, bending deformation is prevented by the short fibers 7, and therefore the bending properties are improved. Also, a product with high bending rigidity can be obtained.

[Effects of the invention] As described above, according to the method for manufacturing laminated wood of the present invention,
When laminating and bonding multiple wooden lamina to obtain laminated wood,
At least the provision of fibers as a reinforcing material between the outer layers of the wooden lamina to be laminated can be done by only slightly changing the conventional process of applying adhesive to the lamina surface, making it easy and convenient for assembly line work. Since the fibers as the reinforcing material can be quickly provided, the number of manufacturing steps is small and the cost is low.
