The manufacturing method for the seat back is to first apply hot-melt adhesive, pressure-sensitive adhesive, or other adhesive to the backrest of the bat, and then temporarily lose the adhesive strength of the adhesive. Make it come alive. Specifically, in the case of a hot melt adhesive, a sheet-like or powder-like adhesive layer is formed, then heated and melted, and then cooled and solidified. In the case of a pressure-sensitive adhesive, it is dried after application. Next, after covering this pad with a bag-shaped skin material, in the case of hot-melt adhesive, the adhesive is heated, and then the skin material is pressed onto the pad with a predetermined pressure using a press mold to form a band and skin material. Seat backs are manufactured by gluing and cooling.

(Problem B to be solved by the invention) By the way, in the seat hack disclosed in the above-mentioned publication, by covering the pad with a bag-shaped skin material, it is possible to inexpensively obtain a seat back whose entire surface is covered with the skin material. However, since the skin material is only glued on the front side, even if the skin material can be placed along the indentation of the front backrest, on the back side, the skin material will be stretched and become a flat surface, causing the back of the pad to become flat. Even if a concavo-convex design is formed, it is covered up by the skin material, and there are also problems in that it is not possible to enlarge the front space of the rear seat by forming a concave portion on the back surface of the seat bank.

Unlike ordinary hot melt adhesives such as EVA type and polyamide type, the reactive real melt adhesive 7 is hardened by polymer reaction and crosslinking reaction like reactive adhesives such as epoxy type after adhesion. It improves adhesive properties, and has the advantage of improving heat resistance through a curing reaction while taking advantage of the advantages of true-melt adhesives, such as high-speed adhesion and being solvent-free. In other words, since hot melt adhesives do not contain solvents, they do not require drying and can complete the bonding process by being applied to an adherend and then being compressed for the time required for cooling and solidifying, but they have low heat resistance as an adhesive property. There are limits to adhesive strength, etc. On the other hand, although solvent-free liquid reactive adhesives have sufficient heat resistance, it is necessary to fix the adherend until the reaction progresses after adhesion and curing is completed. On the other hand, reactive true-melt adhesives, like true-melt adhesives, can maintain the required minimum strength immediately after cooling and solidifying, and the adhesive properties are improved by reaction curing after adhesion.
This results in an adhesive state with high heat resistance. Such reactive real-melt adhesives include those that are cured by irradiation with ultraviolet rays, electron beams, or heat rays, as well as those that are cured by reacting with oxygen and moisture in the air. In this embodiment, a urethane-based moisture curing type reactive hot melt adhesive 7 whose main component is a urethane prepolymer is used. This reactive hot melt adhesive 7 is heated and melted at a low temperature of about 100° C., and applied with a spray gun 12.

Next, the pad 2 with the skin material 3 attached thereto is set on the lower mold 15 of the press device 14, as shown in FIG. ,
The skin material 3 is pressed onto the heat-activated adhesive 7. Lower mold 1
5 has a convex shape corresponding to the backrest portion 5 on the front side of the seat back 1, the upper mold 16 has a convex shape corresponding to the concave portion 6 on the back side of the seat back 1, and the skin material 3 has a convex shape corresponding to the backrest portion 5 on the front side of the seat back 1. The adhesive 7 applied to the backrest portion 5 and the recessed portion 6 of the back surface is reliably bonded to the heat-activated adhesive 7. In addition, the lower mold 15 and the upper mold 16 are heated to a temperature of 10°C to 20°C using appropriate cooling means such as cooling air.
Since it is cooled to about .degree. C., the adhesive 7 is cooled and solidified in the pressed state. Thus, by cooling and solidifying the adhesive 7 with the skin material 3 pressed against the heat-activated adhesive 7, adhesion having a predetermined initial adhesive strength is ensured.

Since this seat back 1 has a recess 6 formed on the back, it is possible to obtain a seat back with an innovative design, and the space in front of the rear seat becomes larger by the amount of this recess 6, making the space more efficient. You can use it to sit comfortably. Moreover, since almost the entire surface of the pad 2 is covered with the bag-shaped skin material, the number of man-hours required is reduced and manufacturing can be done at low cost. In addition, by using the reactive hot melt adhesive 7 as the adhesive, it is possible to bond by heat activation at a relatively low temperature, thereby preventing whitening or fraying of the skin material 3, and moreover, A desired heat-resistant adhesion can be obtained by subsequent reaction curing.
