Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent agricultural chemical from flowing into a neighbouring river system by adsorbing and removing the agricultural chemical contained in the water permeated into the ground from a green of a golf course and/or a lawn vegetation layer of a tee ground with an adsorbent in the ground. CONSTITUTION:Activated carbon layers 3, 6 are provided by accumulating them so as to cover the overall area under a sand layer 2 under a lawn vegetation layer 1 of a tee ground and/or under a sand layer 5 under a lawn vegetation layer 4 of a green. Then, agricultural chemical and others sprinkled on a lawn of the ground surface is permeated with rain water into the ground at the time of raining, and the rain water passes through from the lawn vegetation layer 1 (or 4) to the sand layer 2 (or 5) quickly and reaches the activated carbon layer 3 (or 6). Successively, the agricultural chemical contained in the permeating water is adsorbed in an activated carbon and removed at the time when the permeating water passes through the activated carbon layer 3 (or 6).

The problem of environmental pollution near golf courses is that as a result of pesticides being sprayed over a wide area at golf courses, water containing pesticides can seep into the ground during rainfall, reach the groundwater veins, contaminate the groundwater system, or flow into rivers. It is known as a pollution problem. One of the reasons why it is difficult to solve such problems is that pesticides, which are generally sprayed over a wide area of several tens of square meters, are diluted by rainwater, and the terrain differs from golf course to golf course. Therefore, it flows out through a complicated route.

Therefore, in order to treat wastewater containing pesticides from factories, etc., polymer flocculants are added to the wastewater to coagulate the pesticides in the wastewater, which is separated by filtration, and the trace amounts of pesticides remaining in the filtrate are adsorbed. A treatment method in which adsorption with a material (for example, JP-A-55-1
No. 42588) cannot be applied as a solution to the problem of environmental pollution caused by pesticides, which are widely sprayed outdoors at golf courses.

By the way, especially on the greens and teeing grounds of a golf course, watering and drainage facilities are generally installed in order to manage and manage the cultivation and protection of the lawn. There are proposals to bury water collection pipes (for example, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 169505/1982), and methods to collect and store water from within the ground of greens when it is not easy to secure the amount of water required for greens using rainwater or groundwater alone. However, there are proposals to recycle this water as irrigation water (e.g. Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 62-210930 and others)9, but in the latter proposal, as a result of reusing used water, water containing agricultural chemicals must not be discharged to the outside. It is explained that environmental pollution problems in the neighborhood will be avoided.

Through consideration of these various matters, and based on a new idea that had not been considered before, the present inventor has determined that the pesticides sprayed on the greens, which account for the majority of the pesticides sprayed at golf courses, are contained in rainwater. The present invention has been developed to effectively solve the problem of water seeping into the ground and flowing into nearby water systems.

(Means and effects for solving the problem) The feature of the pesticide purification method of the present invention that achieves the above object is that the pesticide sprayed on the grass vegetation layer, such as greenery, is contained in rainwater and penetrates into the ground. Second, the agricultural chemicals contained in rainwater are adsorbed and removed in the ground using an adsorbent. Examples of the adsorbent include inorganic adsorbents such as zeolite and perlite, carbon adsorbents such as activated carbon and bone charcoal, and organic synthetic adsorbents such as styrene, phenol, and acrylic. Activated carbon is particularly preferred (the same applies below).

Another feature of the present invention is that in order to realize the above method,
It has a ground structure in which an adsorbent layer is provided below the grass vegetation layer such as greens, etc., and such a ground structure is either laminated with a water permeable layer provided in the ground of greens, etc., or is composed of a water permeable layer. For example, it can be formed by providing a mixed layer of sand and adsorbent.

In addition to the above configuration, the ground structure of the present invention also includes a water collection pipe provided below the adsorbent layer laminated or mixed with the permeable layer, and an impermeable water collection pipe that prevents water from penetrating downward from the water collection pipe position. A more desirable effect can be achieved by providing a layer, and such a ground structure is also one of the features of the present invention. In addition, when a water collection pipe and an impermeable layer are provided in the ground together with the adsorbent layer, it is appropriate to provide the adsorbent layer around the water collection pipe, which serves as a water passageway for water that seeps into the ground.

In addition, the purpose of purifying pesticides sprayed on greens, etc. of the present invention is to install a water collection pipe below the permeable layer in the ground of the green, etc., and an impermeable layer that prevents water from penetrating downward from the water collection pipe position. This can also be achieved by using purification equipment that provides a layer and allows water collected from this water collection pipe to pass through an adsorbent tank. When such pesticide purification equipment is installed, since the pesticides have essentially been adsorbed and removed from the water that has passed through the adsorbent tank, biological organisms are added to the subsequent stage for the purpose of decomposing and removing organic matter that is not adsorbed by the adsorbent. This is a preferable configuration since a chemical treatment tank is provided.

In the present invention, which is explained by the above-mentioned several characteristic configurations, in order to provide an adsorbent layer under a grass vegetation layer such as a green, it is generally several tens of centimeters to a layer made of sand.
Although it is often provided in a layered manner below a sand layer of approximately 1 m, an adsorbent layer can also be provided in a layered manner above a water-permeable layer as long as the adsorbent material does not adversely affect the vegetation of the lawn. The above-mentioned adverse effect refers to a problem in which activated carbon or the like adsorbs pesticides that should act on the roots of lawns, and as a result, for example, the pesticides do not have an effect on root-cutting insects of lawns. Therefore, the method of spreading activated carbon etc. on the lawn surface defeats the insecticidal purpose of spraying pesticides, so the effect of spraying pesticides and the purpose of the present invention, which is to remove pesticides at the stage where they permeate into the ground, are It cannot be accomplished conveniently.

The layer thickness when adsorbent is laminated in the ground depends on the particle size of the adsorbent used, but generally when activated carbon is used as the adsorbent, it is 1 to 100111111, preferably 10 to 100. In many cases, it is appropriate to set it to about 5011Im.

Moreover, it is also a preferable configuration to form an adsorbent layer as a mixed layer by mixing it with sand that forms a water-permeable layer. According to this, the adsorbent is widely distributed in the vertical direction of the ground, and the time for contact with agricultural chemicals that permeate into the ground together with rainwater can be obtained for a longer time than when a thin adsorbent layer is provided.

The adsorbent used to form the adsorbent layer as such a laminated or mixed layer may be in the form of spheres, crushed particles, or powder, but especially in the mixed layer, the adsorbent may have an effect on water permeability. Therefore, powdered adsorbents with high adsorption reaction rates are preferably used.

The required amount of adsorbent when forming the above-mentioned ground structure can be calculated in relation to the amount of pesticide sprayed per unit area. For example, when using activated carbon as an adsorbent,
Assuming that the period of use is 10 years, the amount of activated carbon required to adsorb the total amount of pesticides etc. sprayed every year should be 10 times. In reality, the amount of activated carbon required for a standard 18-hole golf course is calculated to be approximately 140.

The greens etc. at golf courses are maintained for several years (generally 5 years).
It is normal for it to be dug up and rebuilt in about 20 years, so
There are no technical or resource problems in practical application of the present invention;

In addition, the ground with a layer of activated carbon as an adsorbent can improve the water retention capacity of the ground without reducing the drainage (water permeability) required for greenery, making it advantageous for the management of lawn vegetation. There are also some advantages. This is because compared to sand, which is generally a material that constitutes a water-permeable layer in the ground such as greens, adsorbents, especially granular activated carbon, have water permeability between roads, etc., but sand has a water retention capacity of about 14%. This is because the water retention capacity of activated carbon is about twice as high.

In addition to the structure with an adsorbent layer as described above,

For such a ground structure, a synthetic resin sheet or the like is used as the above-mentioned impermeable layer, and for example, the green is wrapped slightly outside of the green in a forest-like manner, and a water collection pipe is installed at the center bottom of the green. An example of this is a structure in which adsorbents are placed and buried in a concentrated manner around a water collection pipe, but the invention is not particularly limited to such an example.

Contains adhesives such as gelatin. Although most adhesives are not normally adsorbed by adsorbents, these types of substances are generally decomposed and removed by microorganisms that breed in the ground. In addition, in the ground having the adsorbent layer of the present invention, microorganisms that are difficult to breed in the presence of pesticides, etc. can be adsorbed and removed by the adsorbent in the ground, creating an environment suitable for breeding. It has the advantage of being able to decompose and remove even substances that are not directly related to environmental pollution.

In addition, the purpose of purifying pesticides sprayed on greens, etc. of the present invention is to install a water collection pipe below the permeable layer in the ground of the green, etc., and an impermeable layer that prevents water from penetrating downward from the water collection pipe position. This can be achieved later by providing a purification system in which a layer is provided and the water collected from the water collection pipe is passed through an adsorbent tank. It is also a preferable configuration to provide a chemical treatment tank. In addition, in the case of such a configuration, by providing a buffer tank on the way from the water collection pipe to the adsorbent tank, it is possible to artificially control the amount of water flowing into the adsorbent tank, and the amount of agricultural chemicals in the adsorbent can be controlled. It has the advantage of improving removal efficiency and achieving efficient removal with a smaller amount of adsorbent.

When the permeated water passes through this adsorbent layer 3, pesticides and the like contained in the permeated water are adsorbed to the activated carbon and removed from the water, and the water that permeates further downward does not contain substantially any agricultural chemicals. become. Therefore, the water passing through the soil layer 7 and the gravel layer 8 below does not contain pesticides, and even if this water flows into the groundwater vein, the problem of environmental pollution caused by pesticides, which has been a problem in the past, will not occur at all. Moreover, since there are no pesticides in the water flowing through the soil layer 7 below the activated carbon layer 3, it is possible to provide an environment similar to the breeding environment for organic matter decomposing microorganisms in ordinary soil, and organic matter that is not adsorbed to the activated carbon can also be absorbed. It has the effect of being decomposed.

As a result of the measurement, residual pesticides were found to be 0.0 in all samples.
It was below the detection limit of 0.001 ppm or less. As is clear from the above results, according to the ground structure of this example in which an activated carbon layer was formed below the sand layer in the ground, it was possible to spread green etc. It has been empirically confirmed that the problem of pesticides being contained in rainwater and penetrating into the ground and flowing into the groundwater system can be effectively prevented.

According to the ground with such a structure, the contact rate between the pesticide in the permeated water and the adsorbent is greater in the vertical section of the ground than when the sand layer and adsorbent layer are laminated, and therefore the removal efficiency of pesticides is improved. It has the advantage of reducing the amount of adsorbent used, and also has the advantage of improving water retention while maintaining water permeability to the same level as a conventional sand layer, so it is possible to maintain the grass vegetation layer with less adsorbent. It also has the effect of being easy to manage.

Example 3 This example shown in FIG. 4 has the advantages of Example 1.2 above.
This is to explain an example in which it is used more effectively. Specifically, an impermeable sheet 1O is provided to wrap around the lawn vegetation layer 5 such as the green 4, and on top of this impermeable sheet 1O. An example is shown in which a water collection pipe 11 is provided and an adsorbent layer 12 is provided around the water collection pipe 11 in which an adsorbent (for example, activated carbon) is buried in a concentrated manner so as to remove agricultural chemicals contained in flowing water.

According to this embodiment of the present invention, water that collects in the water collection pipe 11 always passes through the adsorbent layer 12 during its passage.
Since it comes into contact with the pesticide, reliable removal of pesticides can be achieved.
Moreover, since the water collection from the water collection pipe 11 can be controlled artificially, there is an advantage that the amount of adsorbent used in the adsorbent layer 12 can be reduced.
