Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a packaging case having such a structure as to permit folding operation to be mechanized easily by a method wherein end pieces are formed extending from the opening end of a case body, the outer end parts of the end pieces are fixed somewhat inwardly of the opening end of the case body and the end pieces between the opening end and the fixed parts are bent to form spaces at the end of the case body. CONSTITUTION:A commodity 4 such as beverage bottle is packed for sale in a packaging case 1 by being placed on a space part 3 provided in a closed end 2 thereof and a lid 5 is provided on an open end thereof. A pair of opposite end pieces 7 are extended from the edges 6 of the closed end 2 and their bonding faces 8a forming the end parts of the end pieces 7 are attached to the inside of the packaging case 1 in such a manner that walls 8b, 8c and 8d of the end pieces are bent along folding lines 9 into an approximate U-shape to define nearly rectangular spaces 3 between the side walls of the packaging case 1. The spaces 3 absorb the shocks from vertical vibration when the commodity 4 in the packaging case 1 is subjected to shocks to cushion the impact on the commodity 4.

The end piece (24) is folded into the inside of the box (21) from both the left and right sides, being careful to keep the angle at 0 degrees, and the wall forming the space is constructed by folding the end pieces (24) into the inside of the box (21), making sure that the angle is approximately 90 degrees. Otherwise, an appropriate space would not be formed, and conversely, in order to make the angle approximately 90 degrees, it was necessary to have sensory skill with the fingertips that can detect subtle differences.
