(Problem to be solved by the invention) However, when attempting to reel raw silk, the kennel warp imparts roundness to the cocoon silk bundle and improves conjugation, but due to temperature and humidity in the air, moisture content of raw silk, etc. Subtle changes occur in the contact frictional resistance between the bundle and the fineness sensor, resulting in fluctuations in the number of cocoon grains and variations in fineness. In particular, when attempting to control the fineness of composite raw silk of cocoon silk and other fibers using the same type of fineness sensor as used for ordinary raw silk, the difference in water absorption between cocoon silk and other fibers, the mixing ratio of both, and the mixed fiber state Due to the difference in the number of fibers, the contact friction resistance between the composite raw silk and the fineness sensor varies, and a stable fineness control state cannot always be obtained.

(Means for Solving the Problems) The present invention is aimed at solving the above problems, and a reeling machine is provided with a contact friction resistance type fineness sensor to sense the fineness of the yarn to be reeled. In the fineness control method in a reeling machine, a water liquid such as water, hot water, or a chemical solution is applied to the yarn before entering the fineness sensor or to the fineness sensor to bring the yarn into contact with the fineness sensor. It is characterized by controlling variations in frictional resistance.

(Function) According to the present invention, the yarn passing through the slit gap of the fineness sensor becomes wet regardless of the temperature and humidity of the air or the moisture content of the raw silk, and the relationship between the yarn and the fineness sensor is maintained by the above-mentioned means. A stable fineness control state can be obtained by alleviating variations in contact frictional resistance.

(Effect of the invention) According to the present invention, water, hot water, or a liquid such as a chemical solution is applied to the yarn or the fineness sensor before entering the fineness sensor to bring the yarn into contact with the fineness sensor. Since the variation in frictional resistance is controlled, the fineness of the yarn can always be stably controlled regardless of the temperature and humidity of the air, the moisture content of the raw silk, etc.
