For this reason, bulky absorbent cotton is generally used, but its volume increases the size of the package, which wastes space and cost for transportation and storage, and is inconvenient to carry. It was hot. In particular, since it consists of short fibers, it tends to fluff and lose its shape during use, and when removing nail enamel, the fibers twist, making it inconvenient to use.

Therefore, a large number of elliptical small holes oriented in a certain direction and a dense area of filaments are made of long cellulose fibers arranged in a regular pattern, and when pulled in the direction of the short axis of the ellipse, a circle forms. A nonwoven fabric has been proposed that can be used as decorative cotton because it becomes bulky, flexible, and has a good texture due to elongation due to expansion and the collapse of the structure in dense areas of filaments. A nonwoven fabric having such a structure is disclosed, for example, in Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 51-35321.

The nonwoven fabric is thin before being stretched and does not have the same volume as absorbent cotton, so it is suitable for packaging, storage, transportation, and portability, and since it is made of long fibers, it does not become fluffy. Also, there is no fear that the fibers will twist.

In addition, Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 51-35321 discloses that the above-mentioned Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 51-35321 is manufactured by a gauze spunbond method on one side of a layer made of a water-absorbing material such as cotton, pulp, rayon, etc. alone or in combination. discloses a cosmetic puff provided with a layer made of a mesh-like or porous water-absorbing material such as a nonwoven fabric disclosed in .

In addition, in the case of laminated nonwoven fabric and cotton,
Since the cotton layer is one layer, when stretching the nonwoven fabric layer, there is a risk that some parts of the cotton may stick together, so care must be taken when stretching, and since it is not pressed, the overall bulk is large and the packaging is difficult. It has disadvantages such as being inconvenient to carry.

This invention improves the drawbacks of conventional nonwoven fabrics made of long cellulose fibers, and makes them thin enough before being stretched, and having sufficient volume and liquid receptivity when stretched. This is what I did.

The method taken by this invention to solve the above problems consists of a plurality of layers made of a nonwoven fabric made of long cellulose fibers in which a large number of oval small holes and filament contact areas are arranged in a regular pattern. , a decorative cotton consisting of a laminate with a layer of short cotton fibers formed between the nonwoven fabric layers, the nonwoven fabric layer consisting of at least three layers, and a layer of short cotton fibers between each nonwoven fabric layer. It is characterized in that it is formed one layer at a time, and the whole is pressed using a press die that forms an uneven pattern, so that the fibers are compressed into a thin shape in which the fibers are tightly adhered to each other in the concave portions.

A preferred embodiment of this invention will be described with reference to the drawings. In the figure, 1 is a layer made of a nonwoven fabric 2, and the nonwoven fabric layer 1 is made of one or more nonwoven fabrics. The nonwoven fabric 2 is made of long fibers of cotton cellulose, in which a large number of elliptical small holes 3 oriented in a certain direction and dense filament areas 4 are arranged in a regular pattern, as shown in FIG. When pulled in the direction of the short axis of the ellipse, the circle expands and the texture of the dense filament area collapses, resulting in a bulky, flexible, and textured state.

The oval small holes 3 expand in response to tension in the short axis direction, thereby imparting elasticity to the nonwoven fabric. In addition, the dense area is formed by a large number of folded filaments intertwined with each other, and when an artificial tensile force is applied, the folded filaments stretch straight and their structure changes. Collapse. When the tensile force is removed, the fibers return to the crimped state they were in when they were entangled, and take on a bulky structure. A nonwoven fabric having such a structure is disclosed, for example, in Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 51-35321.

This idea consists of overlapping layers 1 of nonwoven fabric 2 made of long fibers and layers 5 of short cotton fibers and pressing them to reduce the total thickness to 1/5 to 1/8. It is something. The pressing is not done in a flat shape, but in a press die that forms a small uneven pattern. By performing such pressing, the fibers are strongly compressed in the recessed portions, and the fibers are tightly adhered to each other, so that when the pressing force is released, the fibers do not swell and are kept at a predetermined thinness.

When used, artificial tension first breaks the adhesion caused by the press and swells the fibers, and then expands the diameter of the small pores and collapses the structure in dense areas, resulting in a bulky product with sufficient volume, making it flexible and easy to blow. It transforms into decorative cotton that has a good fit and feels like absorbent cotton. Then, the layer 5 of short cotton fibers formed between the layers 1 of the non-woven fabric swells as the layer 1 of the non-woven fabric swells, creating a sufficiently bulky feel as a whole, and the swollen Since the short fiber layer 5 has sufficient liquid-impregnating properties, it is suitable for impregnating lotion and the like.

If there is only one layer 5 of short fibers, there is a risk that the short fibers may become partially dense when stretching the layer 1 of the nonwoven fabric, so care must be taken during stretching, which is not preferable. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 1, at least two layers 5 of short fibers are formed, and a layer 1 made of one nonwoven fabric is interposed between the layers 5 of short fibers, and an outer nonwoven fabric layer is formed. 1 is made by overlapping at least two nonwoven fabrics.

According to the decorative cotton of this invention, since there are two or more layers of short cotton fibers, there is no fear that the short fiber layers will become partially dense when stretching the nonwoven fabric layer, and the stretching There is no need for special care during the process, and since the fibers are compressed by pressing into an uneven pattern, even when the pressing force is released, the fibers adhere well to each other in the concave portions, and the desired thinness can be maintained. The entire product can be made thin, making it convenient for packaging and carrying. When the nonwoven fabric is stretched in the direction of the short axis of the oval shape, the short fiber layer swells as the nonwoven fabric stretches, making the entire product bulky. It can give a sense of volume and have sufficient liquid receptivity.
