To make pressed flowers, the usual method is to sandwich the flowers between pieces of paper or the like and press them with a book or the like. This method requires a long time, more than a week, to make pressed flowers. Therefore, as a means for accelerating the drying of pressed flowers, there has been provided a flower press that allows pressed flowers to be made in a dry state in a container containing a desiccant such as silica gel. However, even with such a flower press, it takes a long time, from three days to one week, to make pressed flowers.

Therefore, flower presses have been proposed that further accelerate the drying of pressed flowers by incorporating heating means therein. Such a pressed flower vase, for example, as shown in FIG. 5, has a container 1 with a porous lid 2 lined with a moisture-permeable plate 3, and a planar heating element 6 sandwiched between upper and lower heat-resistant plates 4 and 5 at the bottom of the container 1. A pair of cushion layers 7 and 8 are housed thereon, and a flower 10 sandwiched between paper 9 is placed between the cushion layers 7 and 8, and electricity is supplied from the cord 11 of the planar heating element 6. The flowers 10 are heated through the heat-resistant plates 4 and 5 through the heat-resistant plates 4 and 5, and the flowers 10 are heated through the cushion layers 7 and 8 by pushing the moisture-permeable plate 3 of the porous lid 2 onto the upper part of the container 1. It is used to create pressed flowers by pressing.
Due to such heating, the moisture in the flowers 10 evaporates and escapes to the outside world through the cushion layer 8, the moisture permeable plate 3, and the porous lid 2. Further, there have been provided devices using heating wires instead of the planar heating element 6, and devices in which the lid is lined with a silica gel sheet without providing any pores as a moisture removal means.
