[Detailed description of the invention] [Field of industrial application] The present invention relates to a shielding device for a water-jet loom, and in particular, a shielding plate with a gutter is provided just before the heddle, and the shielding device is installed in front of the heddle to prevent the movement of the reed. This invention relates to a shielding device designed to catch water that is blown up.

Generally, in a water jet loom, the jet water jetted from the jet nozzle flies while colliding violently with the air, and during its flight, a portion of the water is scattered into the space formed by the upper and lower warp rows and the reed. . Most of this scattered water is trapped in the gaps between the reed blades and is blown upward by the movement of the reeds. The blown up water adheres to the top of the heald, and when the heald moves up and down,
In particular, since the warp yarns flow relatively down on the heddles during upward movement, the warp yarns are wetted with a large amount of water, causing a decrease in strength of spun yarns and the like, and may break due to friction with the heddles.

To prevent this from happening, water jet looms are equipped with shielding devices as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, for example (see Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 52-27983).

The gutter 2 is formed by bending the lower end of the shielding plate 1 into a substantially L-shaped cross section, and the shielding plate 1 is bent so that the lower edge of the gutter 2 is close to the third row of warp threads at the maximum opening. It is placed just before the heald 4.
Therefore, the water blown upward on the heald 4 side by the movement of the reed 6 is caught by the shielding plate 1, flows down on the shielding plate 1, flows into the gutter 2, and is transferred to the side by this gutter 2. to be excluded. This prevents water from adhering to the upper part of the healds 4, and also prevents water flowing down on the shielding plate 1 from wetting the warp threads.

However, this conventional shielding device has a problem in that it restricts the design of high-speed looms. In high-speed looms, it is necessary to reduce the stroke of reciprocating motion such as the swinging of the reed and the vertical movement of the heald, and it is also necessary to secure the necessary weft insertion space under these conditions. That is, in addition to bringing the reed as close as possible to the weaving front, in order to form the necessary weft insertion space between its retreated position and the weaving front, the healds are also brought as close to the weaving front as possible and the warp opening is as large as possible with short strokes. The goal is to give

Therefore, if you try to bring the heddles closer to the weaver, the distance between them will become narrower, but the conventional shielding plate 1
was located between the heald 4 and the reed 6, and because there was a gutter, the heald could only be brought close enough that the gutter and the reed did not interfere.

Therefore, the technical problem of the present invention is to make it possible to bring the heddles closer to the weaving area regardless of the gutter.

According to this means, since the gutter is located above the locus of movement of the reed frame, interference between the gutter and the reed is prevented, and the heddles can be brought as close to the weaving area as possible.

In the shielding device S shown in FIGS. 1 and 2,
A shield plate 20 is attached to a support rod 21 in front of the heald 4 with rivets 22 or the like. This support rod 21 is installed at both ends on brackets 23 erected on the frame of the loom, and is pressed and supported by leaf springs 24. Blocks 25 are fixed to both ends of the support rod 21, and are located outside the leaf spring 24 so that they can come into contact with it.
This is for positioning in the left and right direction. Also,
The shielding plate 20 is bent in the middle,
The lower side of the bent portion 20a is positioned immediately in front of the heald 4, and the lower edge 20b is set to be close to the three warp rows at the time of maximum opening.

Reference numeral 30 denotes a gutter, which is bent into a V-shape, and one side wall 30a of which is fixed to the intermediate portion of the shielding plate 20 so as to be located above the movement trajectory P of the reed frame 31. . Further, the front side wall of the gutter 30 is configured as an inclined wall 30b that rises forward on the woven fabric 5 side.

Therefore, according to the shielding device S according to this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 1, the reed 6 is brought close to the fabric 5 in advance to reduce its swing angle φ. At this time, the distance between the cloth 5 and the reed 6 in the retreated position is L.
Set to 1. In this state, the heald 4 is brought closer to the woven fabric 5 and its stroke is made smaller, and the necessary opening angle θ is secured. Orimae 5 and Heddle 4 at this time
Let the interval between the two be L2. In this case, in the conventional shielding device, the gutter 2 was formed at the end of the shielding plate (position A in the figure), so the reed 6 and the gutter 2 collided with each other. On the other hand, in this embodiment, the gutter 30 Reed frame 3
1, the collision between the reed 6 and the gutter 30 is avoided, and the distance L2 can be made shorter than the conventional one by the protruding dimension of the gutter 30. If the healds 4 can be brought closer to the fabric front 5, the amount of vertical movement of the healds 4 can be reduced, and the speed can be increased accordingly.

Also, when the reed 6 swings, due to the swing,
An airflow is generated toward the shielding plate 20 and tries to rise along the shielding plate 20, but since the inclined wall 30b of the gutter 30 rises forward, there is no resistance to the gutter 30, and the airflow will pass upward along this inclined wall 30b. Therefore, the shielding plate 20 is not subjected to strong wind pressure due to this airflow, so that a situation in which it vibrates and collides with the heald 4 is prevented. That is, if the conventional L-shaped gutter 2 is provided as is in the middle of the shielding plate 20 (position B in the figure), the airflow cannot escape upward, and
Since it collides with the bottom of the gutter 2 and pushes up the bottom, the shielding plate vibrates and collides with the heald 4. However, in this embodiment, vibration of the shielding plate 20 can be prevented.

Further, when the reed 6 moves backward, the water that is sprayed from the injection nozzle 32 and adheres to the reed 6 is blown up to the upper side of the heald 4, but this blown up water collides with the shielding plate 20 and flows into the gutter. 30, the water does not fall on the upper side of the heddles 4, which prevents the warp threads 3 from getting wet at the heddles, and causing the warp threads 3 to break due to friction between the heddles and the warp threads 3. The situation is prevented.

そしてまた、樋30よりも下方の遮蔽板20に

Moreover, since water splashing on the shielding plate 20 below the gutter 30 is also blocked, water is prevented from reaching the heaths in this area as well. Incidentally, since the amount of water splashing on this area is smaller than that above the gutter 30, there is less need to provide the gutter 30.
In order to more reliably block water, a small gutter 35 may be formed by bending the lower edge of the shielding plate 20, as shown in FIG.

As explained above, according to the shielding device of the present invention, it is possible to bring the heddle as close as possible to the weaving front so as not to interfere with the reed and the gutter, and it is compatible with high-speed looms.
