Alternatively, the narrow veneers that come out of the dryer are assembled to a specified width and then put through a jointer to be spliced together. However, the treatment of these narrow veneers is the biggest problem in the plywood manufacturing process. How to process these narrow veneers in a rational manner is related to the yield of plywood logs, and also has a large impact on manufacturing costs.

Next, an example of a single wide veneer in which a plurality of core unit small width veneers having various predetermined shapes are combined will be described. The example of a single wide veneer 1 shown in FIG. 1 is one that uses a relatively large narrow width veneer, and consists of two veneers of one type each with two circular holes 12 perforated at predetermined positions. It is composed of a unit small-width single plate 11 for the center core. Similarly, examples of the single-piece wide veneer 1 shown in FIGS. 2, 3, and 4 are unit small-width veneers for the center core consisting of 3 pieces of 2nd type, 4 pieces of 3rd type, and 4 pieces of 2nd type, respectively. 11, and when using a small generated narrow width veneer, one set of core unit narrow width veneers 1 constitutes a single wide width veneer 1.
The number of 1s will increase. As seen in the examples in the above figures, in the present invention, part or all of the plurality of core unit narrow width veneers constituting a single wide width veneer may be of the same shape and the same type. Moreover, the shape can be a rectangle, a square, or any other shape such as a quadrilateral.

である。 A plurality of such one or more types of core unit narrow width veneers are prepared, and a narrow width veneer combination deposition device (hereinafter sometimes abbreviated as deposition device) 2 is prepared.
is used to form one layer of a single wide veneer. As an example is shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, the deposition device 2 includes a position fixing locking rod 21, a veneer stacking plate 22 through which the position fixing locking rod 21 passes, and a position fixing lock. It mainly consists of a support base 23 to which a rod 21 is fixed at its lower end. The position where the position fixing locking rod 21 is fixed to the support base 23 is determined by the position when one or more types of core unit narrow width veneers 11 are combined into a single wide width veneer 1. This corresponds to the position of the circular hole 12 of the plurality of unit small-width veneers 11 for the center core, that is, the locking rod 21 for position fixing corresponds to the position of the circular hole 12 of the plurality of unit narrow-width veneers 1 for the center core.
It is fixed at a predetermined position for each one. Therefore, using such a stacking device 2, one or more of the same number of veneers are extrapolated for each center core unit narrow width veneer 11, with the locking rod 21 for position fixing corresponding to the position. When deposited on the stacking plate 22, each core unit small width veneer 11 is moved to the locking rod 21 for fixing the position.
is locked and fixed in a predetermined position, where one or more layers of the single wide veneer 1 are inserted into the locking rod 21 for position fixing. The same number of objects are automatically formed.

によることができる。 Next, a suction moving device (not shown) having a suction mechanism adsorbs the top layer of the single wide veneer 1 formed on the veneer stacking plate 22 of the stacking device 2 to form two or more cores. The unit small width veneers 11 are moved while maintaining the assembled state as is. Then, the adsorption is released at a predetermined location, and the plywood is mechanically deposited on another single wide veneer coated with adhesive in a predetermined plywood configuration, and then hot-pressed according to a conventional method to obtain plywood. After the first single wide veneer 1 on the veneer stack plate 22 is attracted and moved, the second single wide veneer 1 becomes the top layer, and the above-mentioned suction, movement, etc. It is possible to manufacture plywood one after another by repeating the process. The level of the top layer of the single wide veneer 1 formed and deposited on the veneer deposition plate 22 of the deposition device 2 in this way does not necessarily have to be constant. However, in order to facilitate operations such as suction and movement using a suction device, it is preferable to always maintain the top layer of the single wide veneer 1 at a constant level. Therefore, as the deposition device 2, a device in which the veneer deposition plate 22 is movable in the vertical direction while sliding in the through hole 22a along the locking rod 21 for position fixing is used, and one or more types of A locking rod 2 for fixing one or more of the core unit small width veneers 11 in position.
1, the veneer stacking plate 22 is moved vertically to position the single wide veneer 1 on the top layer at a certain level, and the veneer stack 22 is sucked and moved from the top layer by the suction device. As the number of layers of wide veneers 1 decreases, it is preferable to move the veneer stacking plate 22 upward to maintain the level of the top layer of wide veneers 1 at a constant level. The method of moving the veneer stacking plate 22 in the vertical direction in this manner can be performed using known means.

That is, in the obtained plywood, the plurality of core unit small width veneers that constitute a single wide veneer used as a core are set to constitute a single wide veneer. Because it is pre-cut into one or more predetermined shapes, the dimensional accuracy is extremely good, and when assembled into a single wide veneer, the adjacent core unit small width veneer The end surfaces of the plates are in good contact, and tunnels and core overlaps do not occur. Therefore, it is not necessary to bond the narrow width veneers at the end faces with an adhesive, which was done when conventional narrow width veneers were used. In addition, the combination of multiple core unit small-width veneers can be done by simply inserting them onto the locking rod for fixing the position, and the single wide veneer formed by combining them can be moved by adsorption and movement. The assembled state can be easily maintained and transferred to the next plywood construction process. Therefore, the manufacturing process is greatly streamlined and simplified. Since the circular holes drilled in the core unit small-width veneer are present only in the core of the plywood, there is no substantial problem in terms of the quality of the plywood. In addition, since various shapes such as squares, rectangles, and quadrilaterals of arbitrary shapes are preset as the shape of the unit small-width veneer for the center core, each narrow-width veneer that is generated in the conventional plywood manufacturing process can be set in advance. However, by selecting a shape that makes effective use of it, cutting it into that shape, and using it as a unit narrow-width veneer for the core, the generated narrow-width veneer can be used efficiently and contribute to improving log yield. be able to.

Two types of core unit small width veneers were made by drilling two circular holes with a diameter of 10 mm at a center spacing of 300 mm, and each of these two pieces was made into a single wide veneer with the same structure as shown in Figure 4. The small-width unit has the same structure as shown in Figures 5 and 6, except that the locking rod for position fixing is fixed at the position corresponding to the circular hole of each unit narrow-width veneer for the center core when combined. Use the plate combination stacking device to attach the above 2 to the locking rod for fixing the position.
Extrapolate two small-width veneers for the center core of each type and place them on the veneer stack with a width of 1860 mm and a length similar to that shown in Figure 4.
A single wide veneer with a dimension of 900 mm was formed. Next, the single wide veneer was moved and stacked on a 1.2 mm thick lauan wide veneer with a suction mechanism and stacked on top of a 1.2 mm thick lauan material coated with urea resin adhesive on one side. After unraveling, a wide veneer of lauan material with a thickness of 1.2 mm coated with the same adhesive as above was layered in the same manner and then hot pressed to obtain a 3-ply plywood with a thickness of 7.5 mm.
