Abstract

PURPOSE:To smoothly peel a cover film from resin coated paper by providing the resin coated paper in an unwinding part while surrounding it by a housing and maintaining the inside of the housing at the temp. suitable to peel the cover film by a cooling means. CONSTITUTION:An unwinder (unwinding part) 2 fitted with the winding roll of resin coated paper A is provided to the upside of the hot plates 7, 8 and constituted of a box-type housing 1. The housing 1 surrounds the whole resin coated paper A and has both a pulling-out port 1a of resin coated paper A and a pulling-out port 1b of a cover film B. The feeding rolls 16, 17 are preferably provided and aid derivation of the resin coated paper A and the cover film B. A cooling means 19 is arranged by which the inside of the housing 1 is regulated to the prescribed temp. Temp. of the cooling means 19 is controlled by a thermostat 18. The inside of the housing 1 is maintained at the temp. suitable to peel the cover film by working of the cooling means 9. Peeling of the cover film is smoothly performed and furthermore moisture condensation is not caused on the surface of the resin coated paper.

Next, both resin-coated papers sandwiching the fiber-reinforced composite resin layer are cooled on a cold plate 9, and then only the upper resin-coated paper A is peeled off from the fiber-reinforced composite resin layer by the wind mites 0. When the resin-coated paper A' to which the fiber-reinforced composite resin layer is attached passes between the nip rolls 12 and 12' in the next step, the cover film D supplied from the unwinder 11 is applied to the resin-coated paper A' to which the fiber-reinforced composite resin layer is attached. It is pasted and then wound up in a winder 13 as a prepreg product.

Problems to be Solved by Akira As can be understood from FIG. 1, in the prepreg manufacturing apparatus as described above, an unwinding section equipped with resin-coated papers A and A' on which matrix resin layers are usually formed. 2.2' is often located close to the location of the hot plate 7.8. For this purpose, the unwinding section 2.2' is heated by the heat from the hot plate 7.8, and the resin semi-upper sheets A, A are attached to the unwinding section 2.2' in a relatively short time. ' The temperature of the roll is raised. This is particularly noticeable in the unwinding section 2 located above the pot plays 1 and 7.8.

To solve this problem, a method has been proposed in which before peeling off the cover film, a resin-coated paper is brought into contact with the surface of a roll containing a cooling tube, and the matrix resin is cooled before the cover film is peeled off. However, when such a cooling roll is used, dew condensation formed on the surface of the cooling roll may adhere to the 7-trix resin layer, resulting in unfavorable results. Furthermore, during high-speed operation, cooling may be insufficient, which poses a problem in terms of reliability.

In order to solve this problem, a cooling roll is used, and in order to help the cover films B and B' peel off, impact is applied to the cover films by hand, but complete peeling is difficult. There is a problem in terms of work efficiency because it requires manpower. Furthermore, the film may be damaged or it is difficult to expect continuous and uniform peeling.

In this way, the housing 1 is arranged on the unwinding part 2, and
By configuring a so-called cooling box, for example, a resin-coated paper roll A using an epoxy resin as a matrix resin, which is normally stored in a refrigerator before use.
When the coated T-paper roll A is placed in the unwinding section 2, the inside of the housing 1 can be kept at a low temperature for a predetermined period of time, for example, about 3 hours, depending on the temperature of the coated T-paper roll A itself. Furthermore, even if the temperature rises during that time, the inside of the housing 1 is maintained at a temperature suitable for peeling off the cover film by the action of the cooling means 19. According to the experimental results of the present inventors, in the case of a resin-coated paper roll using epoxy resin as the matrix resin, the inside of the housing 1 is at room temperature minus 5 to 1
Preferably it is maintained at 0°C.
