It has been attempted to reinforce wire materials such as threads with adhesives attached to them. Also, when winding up the veneer that is continuously discharged by a veneer cutting device such as veneer lace into a roll (reeling process), adhesive tape is adhered to the surface of the veneer and rolled together with the veneer. It is also done to strengthen the veneer by removing it.

The reason is that when the double-sided tape, adhesive thread, etc. are rolled up together with the veneer to form a rolled ball, they adhere to both sides (outer and inner circumferential surfaces) of the veneer, so after winding is complete, The rolled ball does not come apart during the transfer process to the next process, and therefore there is no need to tie the outer circumferential surface of the rolled ball with string, etc. However, on the other hand, when unwinding (unreeling process)
In addition, it is not clear which surface of the adhesive the adhesive will adhere to and be rewound, causing serious inconvenience in subsequent processing.

It is necessary to reliably maintain the positional relationship between the surface to which adhesive is applied and the surface to which it is not applied, and measures to prevent twisting are quite complicated and cause a decrease in work efficiency.

能としたものである。 In order to solve this problem, the present invention is based on the idea of peeling off a continuous adhesive material such as double-sided tape or adhesive thread that can adhere two sides of a rolled veneer by utilizing the difference in adhesive strength. When the veneer is rolled up together with the adhesive, the terminal end of the continuous adhesive is bonded only to either the outer or inner circumferential surface of the veneer being wound up. This makes it possible to reliably unwind the rolled ball in the next process, and to use a continuous adhesive that can bond two sides together and is easier to work with than single-sided tape.

A is a veneer lace, and B is a veneer winding device. This veneer lace A is, for example, JP-A-53-
Like the veneer lace shown in Publication No. 91499, the so-called outer periphery drive type provides log driving force from both a chuck 2 that pivotally supports the log 1 and a drive roll 4 equipped with a piercing body that pierces the outer periphery of the log 1. A veneer 8, which is made of veneer lace and whose surface has been subjected to a tenderizing process, is cut by the piercing body. A plurality of these piercing bodies are arranged in the axial direction on the outer periphery of the drive roll 4, and a narrow nose bar 5 is arranged between each piercing body.

The cutting is temporarily stopped, and the tip 8a of the veneer 8 is wrapped around the iron core 10, and at the same time, the tip of the adhesive thread 7' is also wrapped in the same manner as the veneer. (See Figure 2)
Next, the log 1 is rotated again to shave the veneer, and at the same time the conveyor 9 and the iron core 10 are driven, and the adhesive thread 7' is adhered to both the front and back surfaces of the wrapped veneer 8, and the veneer is wound into a roll. It is. When the cutting of the log 1 is completed and the winding of the veneer 8 is completed, as shown in Fig. 3, the adhesive thread 7' is wrapped around one extra turn so that the adhesive thread 7' adheres only to the outer circumferential surface of the rolled veneer C. The adhesive thread 7' is then cut and the winding is completed. By winding up the veneer 8 together with the adhesive thread 7', the adhesive thread 7' is interposed between the wound veneers 8, and the adhesive thread 7' is attached to the outer peripheral surface of the veneer 8. and adhere to both sides of the inner circumferential surface. For this reason, after winding is completed, the rolled ball does not come apart during the transfer process to the next process, and therefore the conventional process of tying the outer circumferential surface of the rolled ball with string etc. is performed. There's no need. However, since the adhesive thread 7' is wrapped an extra round, its terminal end is wrapped around the veneer 8.
It will be glued only to the outer circumferential surface of the

ない。 The ball-shaped veneer C wound up in this manner has an extremely high moisture content because it is a veneer that has just been cut, and therefore is unwound again after the adhesive bonded to the veneer 8 has hardened. It is then dried using a dryer. That is, as shown in FIG. 4, the terminal end 8b of the veneer
When pulled outward, the adhesive thread 7'a connects the veneers 8b and 8
However, since the thread 7'a is glued longer to the outer peripheral surface of the veneer 8c than to the inner peripheral surface of the veneer 8b, the adhesive force per unit length is kept constant. If so, naturally the adhesive force of the veneer 8c to the adhesive thread 7'a will be greater, and the adhesive force of the veneer 8b to the adhesive thread 7' will be greater.
It is separated from a. Needless to say, the adhesive thread 7' is bonded to the outer peripheral surface of the veneer 8b.

When rotated in synchronization with the iron core 10 while applying a tensile force, the wound veneer C is unwound and rotated in the dryer 1.
It is carried into 1. At this time, since the adhesive thread 7' is adhered to one side of the veneer, it will not be damaged during drying in the dryer 11 and during handling in subsequent processes, which is convenient and reduces yield. can be improved.

剤であつても差し支えない。 In the above embodiment, the terminal end of the adhesive thread 7' was bonded over the entire length of the outer circumference of the rolled veneer C.
The point is that the adhesive should be longer on the outer circumferential surface of the veneer than on the inner circumferential surface of the veneer, so the adhesive thread 7'a protrudes from the terminal end 8b of the veneer, and the adhesive thread 7'a
It is sufficient if there is a difference in the adhesive strength between the two sides. Furthermore, it is possible to obtain similar effects by using other wire rods or double-sided tape in place of the adhesive thread 7'. Alternatively, it is possible to wind up the sheet again as described above, or it is also possible to wind up the end length veneer after cutting to size, after gluing it together with the continuous adhesive. Note that the adhesive is not limited to a wet curing adhesive, and may be a thermoplastic adhesive or a thermosetting adhesive.

The terminal end of adhesive thread 7' is cut off, and a roll-shaped veneer is wound up with release paper 13 sandwiched between the terminal end of adhesive thread 7' and the veneer on the inside thereof. When unwinding the veneer that has been wound up in this way, the end of the adhesive thread 7' is glued longer to the end 8b of the veneer than to the inner veneer;
It is possible to unwind the veneer with the adhesive thread 7' attached to the inner peripheral surface of the veneer.

For this reason, there is no need to perform processing such as tying the outer peripheral surface of the wound ball with a string or the like, which has been done in the past. Furthermore, simply pulling the end of the veneer outwards during unwinding ensures that a given surface (e.g.
In the figure, the outer circumferential surface; in Fig. 6, the inner circumferential surface)
The continuous adhesive can be removed while still attached, making it easier to process the veneer. Further, after unwinding, the continuous adhesive material attached to the surface of the veneer provides reinforcement in a direction perpendicular to the fiber direction, thereby preventing a decrease in yield.
