[Detailed Description of the Invention] The present invention relates to a siding board (hereinafter simply referred to as a board) with a male-female connection structure formed of thin metal plates, synthetic resin plates, etc., into a predetermined shape. To explain further, the present invention forms at least one concave groove on the decorative surface of the board, and the decorative surface has a mountain-like (convex) shape.
It prevents deformation into a valley shape (concave shape), suppresses the flatness of the decorative surface, and also greatly strengthens the bending in the width direction of the connection part of the board, especially the insertion edge, and connects the board. This relates to a board with enhanced engagement force and waterproofness of the connecting portion when the connection is made.

This kind of board, which has been used for a long time, has a flat decorative surface, so it often changes in the range of elastic deformation to concave or convex shape due to external force, and when a wall is formed using this kind of board, The disadvantage was that the decorative surface of each board had irregularities, making it less aesthetically pleasing. Also,
The male type connection part has the disadvantage that it easily separates from the female type connection part due to strong winds or other external forces, and is difficult to install. The main reason for these is that the board itself has a
It is a thin plate of about 0.35mm. Since the decorative surface and the insertion edge are simply a single flat plate, their bending strength in the width direction is weak, and they are easily deformed due to their elasticity, resulting in a lack of engagement force. etc. Conventionally, countermeasures have been taken, such as increasing the thickness of the board and curving the insertion edge significantly in the longitudinal direction.
However, such measures have the following drawbacks. In other words, in the former case, it is not a load-bearing wall material considering the area in which it is used, and even though thick boards are not required, the boards are not only heavy;
The cost increases, and the shape is limited due to the use of forming rolls, etc. In the latter case, the height of the insertion groove is small, but the curve is in the longitudinal direction, resulting in large waves, making it difficult to construct and technically difficult to form.

In order to eliminate these drawbacks, the present invention takes full advantage of the workability of conventionally used thin metal plates to form at least one groove in the longitudinal direction on the decorative surface. A large number of small ribs are formed on the edge at a predetermined pitch so as to cross the longitudinal direction of the insertion edge to suppress elastic deformation of the decorative surface and prevent the decorative surface from becoming uneven. It significantly improves bending strength and rigidity to prevent the insertion edge from separating from the insertion groove, and creates a gap in the connection part that prevents capillary action, improving waterproofness and making installation easier. This provides a board that is easy to use and has an attractive appearance.

An embodiment of the board according to the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings. That is, FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing a typical example of the above-mentioned board, in which 1 is a main body portion with a rectangular decorative surface 2 and at least one groove formed on the decorative surface 2 along the longitudinal direction. 3 and side walls 4 and 5, which have vertical or inclined (not shown) side edges of the decorative surface 2, forming a concave cross section. Reference numeral 6 denotes a male connecting portion that protrudes outward from the lower end of the side wall 4 and connects the insertion edge 7 with the insertion edge 7.
It is formed from a small rib 8 formed in the shape of a small rib 8 and a tongue piece 9 whose tip end of the insertion edge 7 is bent inwardly or outwardly. Reference numeral 10 denotes a female connecting portion, which bends the lower end of the side wall 5 inward and outward again to form an insertion groove 11 with a U-shaped cross section, and extends its lower edge 12 outward. It is formed from the extended portion 13. It should be noted that the extension part 13 may be provided with a longitudinal protrusion 14 and a tongue piece 15 at its tip, if necessary. To explain further, the groove 3 is formed at the center of the width of the decorative surface 2 or on a line dividing W 0 into multiple parts with a width W 1 and a depth Δd in a dovetail, gutter, or trapezoidal cross section. It mainly functions as a joint to strengthen the bending strength of the decorative surface 2 and to suppress flatness of the decorative surface 2. Further, a large number of small ribs 8 are formed on the insertion edge 7 so as to intersect (traverse) the longitudinal direction of the insertion edge 7 using an embossing roll or a press machine. To explain in more detail, the small rib 8 has a cross section that protrudes or is recessed by Δh from the front or back surface of the insertion edge 7 as shown in FIGS. 2 a to d, and its longitudinal section is as shown in FIGS. The shape is shown in FIG. That is, the dimension l 1 of the small rib 8 is as shown in Fig. 2 a and b, where the dimension of the insertion edge 7 is l 0 , then l 1 = l 0 −2Δl (Δl is the flat part dimension of the insertion edge 7). Or, as shown in figures c and d, l 1 =l 0 -Δl, or l 1 -l 0 . Further, the vertical cross section of the small rib 8 is semicircular as shown in Fig. 3a, triangular as shown in Fig. 3b, chevron-shaped as shown in Fig. 3c, trapezoidal as shown in Fig. 3d, and trapezoidal as shown in Fig. 3e. The small ribs 8 have a block shape, and have a plurality of mountain shapes as shown in Fig. f, and the width ΔW and pitch P of the small ribs 8 are set based on strength, appearance, and workability. Note that the boundary portion between the small rib 8 and the insertion edge 6 can suppress stress concentration, and in view of the formation of the side wall 3 and the tongue piece 7, the end portion in the width direction may be a curved surface or an inclined surface. preferable. Further, the small ribs 8 are mainly used to greatly strengthen the bending and rigidity of the insertion edge 6 in the width direction, thereby preventing separation due to bending at the connecting portion, and increasing the engagement force and waterproofness. Further, the board according to the present invention is made of one type of metal thin plate, such as a surface-treated steel plate, a stainless steel plate, a copper plate, an aluminum plate, a galvanized steel plate, a galvalume steel plate, etc., and has a width W 0 , a length L, and a height H.
As shown in FIG. 1, it is formed by roll forming, extrusion, etc. Examples of the dimensions of the above board are W 0 = 100~1000mm, H = 7~50mm, L
=909~7272mm, l0 =10~50mm, l1 =6~50mm, Δl
=1~20mm, Δh=0.5~7mm, ΔW=1~7mm,
Δt (height of tongue piece 7) = 0.8 to 5 mm, W 1 = 5 to 200 mm,
Δd=approximately 2 to 30 mm.

Now, to construct a board as shown in Fig. 1, fix the extension part 13 of the female connecting part 10 of board α 1 onto the rim 16 as shown in Fig. 5 with nails β, and then install the board. The insertion edge 7 of the male connecting portion 5 of α 2 is inserted into the insertion groove 11 of the board α 1 , and then, although not shown, the extension portion 13 at the other end is fixed with a nail β. Therefore, to construct the wall, the above operations may be repeated in sequence.

As mentioned above, according to the board according to the present invention,
Since the above-mentioned concave grooves are formed on the decorative surface, the decorative surface is not uneven and has a beautiful appearance. In addition, the insertion edge has a large number of small ribs, which are formed in a shape and size that are transverse to the longitudinal direction of the insertion edge and easy to fit into the insertion groove.
The bending and rigidity of the insertion edge in the width direction are greatly strengthened, and the insertion edge is characterized by being prevented from deforming or coming off. In addition, since gaps are formed in the connection section by small ribs, no capillary phenomenon occurs, resulting in excellent waterproof properties. Furthermore, since the insertion edge is highly rigid, it can prevent the board from twisting in the longitudinal direction, greatly improving workability. In addition, since small ribs are formed on the insertion edge to fit between the insertion edge and the insertion groove, there is an advantage that the gap is reduced and elasticity is added to strengthen the engagement force. Additionally, the small ribs add a three-dimensional feel to the wall joints, greatly improving the design.
