The arm mechanism has one or more arms connected to the robot body, and a wrist member is connected to the tip of the arm mechanism, and this wrist member is operated by a hydraulic hand, that is, by fluid pressure such as hydraulic pressure or air pressure It is normal to hold the hand that is played.

There is something I did. This is often aimed at, for example, making it easier to control the hand by having the hand perform work while keeping the wrist member in a horizontal state.

Either hydraulic hoses were used, or all piping from the robot body to the hand was done using hydraulic hoses.

This is not so much of a problem in the case of large robots, but in the case of small robots, the ratio of the piping space in the joint increases, causing a problem that impairs the balance in appearance. Furthermore, not only is it troublesome to install piping inside the arm, but if the inside of the arm is used as a space for a power transmission path, etc., the piping must be installed in a place where there is not enough room, making piping work difficult. and increase design difficulties.

It also becomes complicated.

Moreover, by using a rotary pipe joint, the appearance of the joint part is simpler than when a hydraulic hose is used as a joint. Moreover,
The joint portion can be configured more compactly than when a fluid passage is formed inside the arm and a rotary pipe joint is provided therein. In other words, arms receive bending moments due to work loads and their own weight, so they need to be thick enough to withstand them, whereas auxiliary links only receive simple tensile or compressive loads, so they are not as thick as arms. It's fine if it's thin. Therefore, if a rotary pipe joint is installed at the joint of a thick arm, that part will become even thicker, but if a rotary joint is installed at the joint of an auxiliary link, the part that is already thin will become thicker. It is also normal for the arm to be thinner than the arm,
Even if it becomes thicker than the arm, the amount is small, and the arm mechanism as a whole can be made smaller.

It is incorporated and supported so as to be rotatable around one axis. Returning to FIG. 1, the tip of this arm 10 is formed into a yoke shape, and the arm 12, which is split into two, is connected to the inside thereof, and the axis is the same as the rotation axis of the connecting portion of both. around the bracket link 4
4 is supported so as to be rotatable relative to both arms 10 and 12. The bracket link 44 as a whole has a substantially right-angled triangular shape, and each right-angled portion thereof is incorporated between the bifurcated arm 12, and each remaining portion and the rotating table leg portion 42 are connected to the rod link 46.
The other parts and the wrist member 14 are connected by a rod link 48. The rod link 46 has both ends rotatable relative to both the bracket link 44 and the swing table leg 42, and is parallel to the arm 10, and is a parallel link with the arm 10, the swing table leg 42, and the bracket link 44. It constitutes a mechanism. The rod link 48 also has both ends rotatable relative to both the bracket link 44 and the wrist member 14 and is parallel to the arm 12, forming a parallel link mechanism together with the arm 12, the bracket link 44, and the wrist member 14. are doing. Therefore, no matter how much the arm 10 rotates, the attitude of the bracket link 44 with respect to the horizontal plane does not change, and no matter how much the arm 12 rotates, the attitude of the wrist member 14 with respect to the bracket link 44 does not change. Further, since the connecting axis of the bracket link 44 to the arms 10 and 12 and the connecting axis to the rod link 48 are located in one horizontal plane, the wrist member 14 is always held horizontally no matter how the arm mechanism rotates. In other words, it is kept parallel to the horizontal plane serving as the reference plane. A bracket link 44 and rod links 46 and 48 added to form two sets of parallel link mechanisms function as auxiliary links.

is incorporated inside the table body 24.
The table body 24 is in the form of a box-shaped structure, and has a space for incorporating both motors 50 and 52, and a motor mounting portion. As is clear from FIG. 3, the motors 50 and 52 are
The motors 50 and 52 are mounted in parallel across the rotation axis O of the rotation table 6, that is, so that the motor axes of the motors 50 and 52 are parallel to each other with a certain distance apart, and these motor axes are mounted in a plane perpendicular to the rotation axis O. (in this case in the horizontal plane) and are arranged alternately. That is, the output shafts of the motors 50 and 52 are arranged opposite to each other, and a timing pulley 56 or 58 is fixed to each motor.
Both motor axes, which are the rotational axes of each timing pulley 56, 58, are not only parallel to each other, but also

Therefore, the dimensions of each motor 50 and 52 from the farthest part from the rotation axis O are minimized, and even when these motors 50 and 52 are rotated together with the rotation table 6, the space required for the rotation is small. Become. This space is secured within the box-shaped wall of the movable base 4, that is, between this box-shaped wall and the table body 24, and the motors 50 and 52 are not visible from the outside. Although not shown, the cables for supplying power to these cables are routed inside from the top or wall of the movable base 4, and disappear from the vicinity of the arm mechanism.

る。 Further, a cyclo reducer 72 is attached to the other leg 42 of the turning table 6, facing the cyclo reducer 60, and as shown in FIG. A shaft 80 is fixed to each shaft 78 .
The shaft 80 is provided concentrically with the rotational axis of the arm 10 and is freely rotatable relative to the arm 10, and a lever link 82 is fixed to the shaft 80 by serrations. The lever link 82 has a torque link 8 as shown in FIG.
One end of the torque link 84 is connected to the arm 12 for relative rotation by a pin 86, and the other end of the torque link 84 is similarly connected to the arm 12 by a pin 88. Lever link 82 is parallel to arm 12, torque link 84 is parallel to arm 10, and these constitute a parallel link mechanism. And the timing pulley 76 of the cyclo reducer 72 shown in FIG.
A timing belt 92 is passed through an opening 90 formed in the bottom of the table body 24 and is stretched between the timing pulley 58 of the motor 52 (see FIG. 3). Therefore, by driving the motor 52, the arm 12 is rotated in the left-right direction via the timing belt 92, the cyclo reducer 72, the shaft 80, the lever link 82, and the torque link 84, and the arm 10 is rotated in the vertical direction. The position of the hand 16 is appropriately set by the combination of the above.

6 opens and closes. The claw member 144 grips the outer peripheral surface of the workpiece when it is closed, but it is also possible to hold the workpiece from the inside when it is opened. The rotating body has teeth on its outer circumferential surface and also serves as a pinion, and the rack piston of the rack cylinder engages with this pinion. Both ends of the rack pin are fitted into the cylinder bores, and hydraulic pressure is supplied to one end to close the hand 16. A hydraulic chamber is formed at the other end to which hydraulic pressure for opening the hand 16 is supplied. By selectively supplying pressurized oil to one of these hydraulic chambers, the rack piston is moved to rotate the rotating body by a predetermined angle, and the above-mentioned cam action causes the hand 16 to perform opening and closing operations. Since there are two hands 16 in such a rack cylinder, two corresponding to the number of hands 16 are provided, and thus a total of four hydraulic circuits, two systems each, are required.
