An example of an electronic temperature measuring device is an electronic wristwatch equipped with a temperature measuring function. With this type of device, if the temperature detected by the temperature sensor installed on the watch itself is displayed as the ambient temperature at that time, then when the watch is being carried around (for example, when the watch is worn on the wrist), the temperature sensor It had the disadvantage that it was not able to display the correct ambient temperature because it was affected by body temperature.

Therefore, as a solution to this problem,

However, in the above temperature measuring device, if the temperature detected by the temperature sensor is displayed as is when the non-portable state is selected, and the corrected temperature is displayed when the portable state is selected, A problem arises in that the correct ambient temperature cannot be detected immediately after changing the state selection.

In other words, for example, when switching from a non-portable state to a mobile state, the temperature sensor is not yet affected by body temperature immediately after the switch, and the corrected temperature obtained by correcting the temperature detected by the temperature sensor is the actual ambient temperature. The temperature will be different from that. In addition, when switching from a mobile state to a non-mobile state, the temperature near the temperature sensor remains affected by body temperature, so if the measured temperature is displayed as it is, the displayed temperature may be different from the actual ambient temperature. The analog temperature signal detected by the temperature sensor 9 is converted into a digital temperature signal in the A/D conversion circuit 10 and output to the CPU 4. Furthermore, these temperature sensor 9 and A/D conversion circuit 10 measure the ambient temperature based on a drive signal given from the CPU 4 every minute.

When switching between the portable mode (with the watch on the wrist) and the non-portable mode during temperature measurement, the CPU 4 sets the flip-flop 5 and causes the timer 7 to start counting. While performing this, the operations of the temperature sensor 9 and A/D conversion circuit 10 are stopped. As a result, the measurement of the ambient temperature is stopped for a certain period of time (25 minutes in this embodiment) after the mode is switched.

Here, the temperature data measured in the handheld mode is multiplied by a coefficient A and a constant B is added because the temperature sensor installed on the watch body is affected by body temperature when the watch is worn on the wrist. This is to correct the fact that the detected temperature of No. 9 is higher or lower than the actual ambient temperature. Furthermore, since the coefficient A and the constant B at this time are constant values determined by the material of the watch case, values corresponding to the material of the watch case may be stored in the CPU 4 in advance.

As a result, when switching between non-portable mode and mobile mode, the measured temperature or the corrected temperature obtained by correcting the measured temperature may be significantly different from the actual ambient temperature. Also, it is possible to prevent erroneous temperature data from being stored in the register number.
