Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce an electrode wire for preventing the corrosion of a duct for passing water by electrolytic protection by loosely and spirally winding a bundle of monofilaments of electrically non-conductive synthetic fibers around the surface of an insoluble metal wire. CONSTITUTION:A bundle 4 of monofilaments of synthetic fibers is loosely and spirally wound around the surface of an insoluble metal wire 3 to form an electrode wire 2 for preventing the corrosion of a duct 1. A Ti wire plated with Pt is suitable for use as the metal wire 3 and the thickness is regulated to about 0.2-2mm. PP or PE is suitable for use as the material of the monofilaments and the thickness of the bundle 4 is regulated to about 20-200% of the thickness of the metal wire 3. The winding pitch of the bundle of filaments 4 to the insoluble metal wire 3 is made about 1-5 times as large as the diameter of the metal wire 3. The resulting electrode wire 2 has a significant corrosion preventing effect and does not cause a short circuit between the wire 2 and the duct 1.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Conventionally, electrical corrosion protection has been used as a method of corrosion-proofing this type of pipeline for purposes such as preventing red water. As an example of the electrical corrosion protection method, the method described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 166983/1983 is known. This method involves inserting an electric i-wire through the wall of a part of the conduit, insulating the electrode wire and the conduit, and inserting the i-wire into the conduit.
This applies a voltage of 10 to the electrode wire. This eliminates the potential difference in the local battery on the metal surface, which causes corrosion of the pipe, and prevents the metal from eluting from the inner surface of the pipe, thereby preventing corrosion.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention However, although this method has a corrosion-preventing effect on the metal surface near the part where the electrode wire is inserted, the effect is localized. Therefore, it is not suitable as a method to be applied only to parts where there is a risk of corrosion, such as pipe joints and elbows, even if the entire pipe line has been treated with corrosion protection by other means such as lining the pipe. However, if there are a large number of these joints or elbows, the above treatment must be performed for each joint or elbow, and if the entire long pipe has not been subjected to corrosion protection treatment, In cases where it is not possible to provide corrosion protection to the entire conduit, or where the conduit is installed inside the wall of a building, the existing conduit may be exposed to electricity from outside. The wire cannot be attached and the method described above cannot be adopted.

Therefore, as shown in FIG. 3, a long electrode wire 2 is inserted into the long conduit 1, and a voltage is applied between the electrode wire 2 and the conduit 1. It is considered to protect against corrosion. However, since the t-pole line 2 itself is a metal wire,
If the metal wire comes into contact with the inner surface of the pipe at a bend in the pipe, the voltage will be shorted, and the corrosion prevention effect will not be obtained. If a coated wire is used so that the metal wire does not come into contact with the inner surface of the conduit, the wire will be insulated by the sheath and no voltage can be applied to it, making it impossible to obtain a corrosion-preventing effect.

Further, as the monofilament yarn 4, a water-resistant synthetic fiber can be used, and polypropylene and polyethylene are suitable, for example. The monofilament thread 4
The thickness is such that it can be wound around the insoluble metal wire 3 and that the pipe line 1
Since the insoluble metal wire 3 is supported within the inner surface of the conduit 1 so as not to come into contact with the inner surface of the pipe 1, the thickness of the insoluble metal wire 3 is 20
Approximately 200% is appropriate. The pitch at which the monofilament thread 4 is wound around the insoluble metal wire 3 depends on the thickness of the monofilament thread 4;
It is preferable that the wound monofilament thread 4 is about 5 times larger than the other one.The wound monofilament thread 4 is preferably heat-set to shrink and fixed in a state in which it is brought into close contact with the insoluble metal wire 3.

Function In the present invention, the surface of the insoluble metal wire 3 is coated with the monofilament thread 4 by roughly spirally winding or blasting, so that when the electrode wire 2 comes into contact with the inner surface of the conduit 1, the monofilament thread 4 Its rigidity supports the insoluble metal wire 3 and prevents the insoluble metal wire 3 from coming into direct contact with the inner surface of the conduit 1.

Furthermore, since the monofilament thread 4 is roughly wound or braided on the surface of the insoluble metal wire 3, the insoluble metal wire 3 is widely exposed to water, and the applied anti-corrosion voltage causes the conduit 1 and the insoluble metal wire 3 to A large amount of current flows between the

As a result, as shown in FIG. 4, it was found that the t flow rate of the wire of the present invention was larger than that of the wire wound with wool, and the value was close to that of the bare platinum-plated titanium wire.

In other words, by applying a voltage, ions move between the insoluble metal wire 3 and the inner surface of the conduit 1, which causes a current to flow. When the yarn is wound, it collapses and becomes flat, partially covering the surface of the insoluble metal wire 3 and impeding the flow of water contained inside the yarn. Therefore, the movement speed of water ions in the wool becomes slow, and even though the insoluble metal wire 3 in the part around which the wool is wound comes into contact with the water contained in the wool, it does not contribute to conductivity. It is thought that only the portion not covered by the wool contributes to conduction, and because that area is small, the amount of current is greatly reduced.

This phenomenon is considered to be the same even when synthetic fibers such as multifilament yarn or spun yarn are used instead of wool.

In contrast, in the present invention, as shown in FIG. 1, by winding the monofilament thread 4 around the insoluble metal wire 3, the cross-sectional shape of the monofilament thread 4 does not collapse, and the contact area with the insoluble metal wire 3 is It is small, and the contact area with water on the insoluble metal wire 3 is large, and the water in contact with the insoluble metal wire 3 is constantly replaced by the water flow, and water may partially stagnate, slowing down the movement speed of ions. 1, they mutually effectively contribute to conduction over a wide area. Therefore, in the case of the present invention, the amount of current flowing from the insoluble metal wire 3 is considered to be larger than that in the case of winding yarn.

Effects of the Invention Therefore, according to the present invention, even if the electrode wire 2 is inserted into a long conduit as shown in FIG. 3, when the electrode wire 2 contacts the conduit 1, the monofilament thread 4 is effectively The insoluble metal wire 3 is supported, and the insoluble metal wire 3 does not come into direct contact with the inner surface of the conduit 1, thereby preventing short-circuiting.

Further, according to the present invention, since the monofilament thread 4 is wound or braided around the insoluble metal wire 3, the contact area between the insoluble metal wire 3 and the monofilament thread 4 is small.
Furthermore, unlike spun yarns and multifilament yarns, when wound around the insoluble metal wire 3, the yarn does not collapse and become flat, nor does it contain water inside the yarn to impede flow. Therefore, the large area of the surface of the insoluble metal wire 3 contributes to electrical conduction, the amount of current when a voltage is applied is close to that of the bare insoluble metal wire 3, and a large corrosion prevention effect can be obtained.

Furthermore, since the monofilament yarn 4 has superior abrasion resistance compared to spun yarns and multifilament yarns, it has durability compared to spun yarns and multifilament yarns even when it is abraded to the pipe line 1 by water flow. In addition, since the wear coefficient is small, even when inserting the electrode wire 2 into the conduit 1, the work is easy.
