の分布を示す模式的な断面図、第２図はそのシヨ
ツトピーニングの加工工程を示す模式図、第３図
はそのシヨツトピーニングの加工工程の他の例を
示す模式図であり、第４図は従来のチルカムを模
式的に示す正面図であり、第５図は従来の焼入れ
カムの残留応力の分布を示す模式的な断面図であ
る。 １……焼入れカム、２……カム面、３……高周
波焼入れによつて生じる応力残留部分、４……シ
ヨツトピーニングによつて生じる応力残留部分、
５……研削される部分、６……カムトツプ部分、
７……フランク部分、８……シヨツトピーニング
マシン、９……カムシヤフト。

- 外周に形成されたカム面を高周波焼入れされた
焼入れカムにおいて、該カム面のうち焼入れによ
る圧縮残留応力の不足した箇所にシヨツトピーニ
ングが施されていることを特徴とする、焼入れカ
ム。
