れる。BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Various types of shuttleless looms, including a fluid jet type, have been used to improve productivity in the weaving process. In a shuttleless loom, such as a fluid jet loom, a twisting type selvage device is used to intertwine the inserted weft yarns with the weaving edge to form a selvage structure, and after beating, the weft yarns are removed using a weft cutter. Cut at a predetermined length from the woven edge. As a result, at the selvage portion, the cut ends of the weft protrude from the weave edge, forming a so-called tassel selvage.

成装置が記載されている。 In recent years, as woven fabrics have become more sophisticated, the tassels that occur in synthetic fiber fabrics woven on shuttleless looms or blended fabrics of synthetic fibers and natural fibers have gradually become a problem. To explain in more detail, woven fabrics without tassels are required for sewing reasons, for example, for dressy fabrics, and as a countermeasure to this, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 54-88357 proposes a fabric with inner side edges of the woven fabric. A device is described in which an ultrasonic cutter is used to cut the fabric to form a selvage similar to that of a fabric woven on a conventional shuttle loom. Further, in Utility Application No. 61-81076 by the applicant of the present invention, when the woven fabric detection means detects "no woven fabric", an abnormality signal output means outputs an abnormality signal based on this detection signal. An apparatus for forming selvedges of a woven fabric for a shuttleless loom is described.

During weaving and when the machine is stopped, the magnitude of the tension acting on the warp and fabric changes over time due to the influence of environmental conditions or weaving conditions. The width of the fabric changes between the time of operation and the time of restart, and the cut surface of the tassel selvedge is not uniform as shown in FIG. This tendency generally becomes more pronounced as the stoppage time becomes longer. As a result, fabric 1
A protrusion 2, as seen in FIG. 3A or B, is formed on the side edge of. This protrusion 2 not only spoils the aesthetic appearance of the final product, the fabric 1. In the subsequent processing process, the fabric 1 from which the tassel edges have been separated has frayed yarns at the side ends due to poor welding.
This causes "ear fraying" and significantly reduces the commercial value of the product.

装置を提供するものである。Means for Solving the Problems In view of this objective, the present invention sequentially arranges a temple, an ultrasonic cutter for cutting the tassel edges, and a first expansion roll along the traveling path of the woven fabric. In this shuttleless loom, a second expansion roll and presser members located before and after the second expansion roll are disposed between the temple and the ultrasonic cutter, and an inverted U-shaped loom is provided. The cloth pressing member is pressed against the woven cloth running along the circumferential surface of the second expansion roll while maintaining the character-shaped winding configuration, and this pressing resistance prevents fluctuations in the cloth width. The present invention provides a cloth width fluctuation prevention device for a shuttleless loom configured as described above.

The fluid jet type shuttleless loom 10 has a reed 12, a temple 13, an ultrasonic cutter 14, a first expansion roll 15, and a cross roll 16 along the strike path of the woven fabric 11 according to a conventional method. They are arranged sequentially. The first expansion roll 15 functions as a tentering member that pulls the woven fabric 11 in the tentering direction during weaving, thereby preventing wrinkles from forming on the cloth surface.

にできる限り近接させることが好ましい。 A rotatably supported second expansion roll 17 is provided between the temple 13 and the ultrasonic cutter 14 over the entire width of the woven fabric 11. This second expansion roll 17 naturally functions as a tentering member during the above-mentioned weaving process, but also utilizes the pressing force produced in cooperation with the latter-stage cloth presser member 18 to weave during the weaving process. It functions as a width dimension variation prevention member for the fabric 11. From this point of view, the installation position of the second expansion roll 17 is determined by the ultrasonic cutter 14.
It is preferable to place it as close as possible to.

The woven fabric 11, which is held at a constant width by the temples 13, utilizes the pressing force exerted by the cooperation of the second expansion roll 17 and the presser member 18 when the loom is stopped. It is maintained under tension with excellent morphological stability without changing the width dimension. That is, when the loom is stopped, the woven fabric 11 is engaged with the second expansion roll 17 while being pressed by the front edge 18a of the cloth presser member 18, and the cloth presser member 18 and By being held in the pressing force application area formed by the second expansion roll 17, it receives a force for suppressing cloth width fluctuations. In this way, the woven fabric 11 being fed into the operating area of the ultrasonic cutter 14 can maintain a constant width dimension when the loom is stopped.

Press rolls 19a and 19b extending over the entire width of the woven fabric 11 are rotatably mounted on the woven fabric 8a and the rear end edge 18b, and a roller similar to that described above is placed between these press rolls and the second expansion roll 17. It is also possible to form a pressing force application area. Woven cloth 11
The magnitude of the pressing force applied to the second expansion roll 17 can be set to an arbitrary level by adjusting the pressing depth of the presser member 18 against the second expansion roll 17. In the embodiment of the present invention, since the force for suppressing cloth width fluctuation is approximately directly proportional to the magnitude of the pressing force applied by the second expansion roll 17 and the cloth presser member 18, the pressing force can be adjusted. As a means, the front edge 18a and the rear edge 18b of the presser member 18, which are in sliding contact with the upper surface of the woven fabric 11, are subjected to an anti-friction treatment such as satin plating, as necessary, or the woven fabric 11 is moved in the running direction. It is also possible to change the width dimension and shape of the front edge 18a and the rear edge 18b along the front edge 18a and the rear edge 18b.

A pressing force is exerted by the joint action of the two, thereby effectively suppressing fluctuations in the width of the woven fabric whose tassels are cut by the ultrasonic cutter as shown in FIG. 3C. Therefore, by using the device of the present invention, a woven fabric with straight tassel selvage cutting lines can be obtained.
