Plants perform photosynthesis using light and carbon dioxide, absorb water, and synthesize carbohydrates. During this synthesis, carbon dioxide gas is absorbed by the plant in the form of ions. Therefore, photosynthesis is promoted by providing ionized carbon dioxide rather than gaseous carbon dioxide around plants. In addition, as photosynthesis is promoted, the growth rate becomes faster, and large amounts of sugar and starch are produced, making it possible to quickly harvest heavy plants.

With the above configuration, the heat emitted by the lighting device 17 is released outdoors by the air conditioner indoor unit 8 and the air conditioner outdoor unit 9, and at the same time, these air conditioners adjust the temperature of the environment control space 16 to a value appropriate for the growth of the plants 5. It is to be kept in a safe place. Thereby, the temperature of the cultivation space 13 is also maintained at a value suitable for the growth of the plants 5. Further, in the cultivation space 13, light is irradiated from the lighting device a[7 through the transparent shielding container 6 and reaches the plants 5. Ionized carbon dioxide is supplied to the cultivation space 13 from the carbon dioxide ionization device 12 via the ZF Eve 11 .

With the above configuration, the opening and closing of the solenoid valve 19 can be controlled by commands from the control device 4 according to the concentration of the carbon dioxide sensor field. Note that when the weather is clear and sunny, the plants 5 do not perform photosynthesis, so there is no need to supply carbon dioxide gas. Therefore, when the weather is clear and sunny, the control unit 21 inputs the fact that the lighting device 7 is turned off, determines that there is no need to supply carbon dioxide gas, and closes the solenoid valve 19.
