[Prior art] When butt-welded materials are arc welded, in order to obtain a sound weld over the entire weld line, it is necessary to remove unstable parts at the beginning and end of the weld bead. Regardless of the length of the welded material, as shown in FIG. 4, grooves 10a, called run-off tabs, for filling weld metal are provided at both ends of the groove line 8 formed by the welded materials 7a and 7b.
The waste plates 9a and 9b having IOb are applied, and the entire length including these run-off tabs is welded, and as a final finishing step, such run-off tabs are cut and removed.

However, the preparation, installation, and removal of such run-off tabs requires a considerable amount of time, and when the material to be welded is short, the ratio of man-hours related to run-off tabs to the total welding time becomes large, and improvement measures are necessary. Ta.

As a countermeasure to this problem, instead of run-off tabs, a tile-shaped solid material mainly composed of a refractory metal oxide is applied to the end faces of both ends of the groove line, and the weld start and end are treated with this part to ensure a defect-free weld. That is, in JP-A No. 58-199697, a proposal was made regarding the physical characteristics of a welding end tab to make the weld sound, and in JP-A No. 60-37296, a proposal was made regarding the physical characteristics of a welding end tab in order to make the weld sound. A shape of a welding end tab for forming an excess buildup has been proposed.

These welding end tabs are extremely useful in themselves, but no proposal has been made from the perspective of simply and firmly attaching the welding end tab to the material to be welded, and only by simply pressing it with a magnet. In this case, it is not possible to firmly attach the parts, and there are also cases where the magnetic force is weakened by the welding heat and the parts come off, resulting in unsatisfactory welding.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] The purpose of the present invention is to make the operation of attaching a welding end tab to a material to be welded extremely simple and to firmly fix it. Even if there is a spillage accident, or if the medium wave welding material is moved or reversed, the fixation of the welding end tab to the material to be welded will not loosen, and sound welding can proceed.

[Means and effects for solving the problem] The gist of the present invention is to provide a recess into which the end of the mounting jig is fitted on the side opposite to the side that dams up molten metal. The welding end tabs are arranged at both ends of the groove, and the clips are spread so as to straddle both ends of the groove, and both ends of the clip are fitted into the recesses of the both end tabs. The method of fixing an end tab for welding is characterized in that both end tabs are pressed and fixed to both ends of a groove by the spring action of the clip.

以下本発明について詳細に説明する。The present invention will be explained in detail below.

An example of the welding end tab of the present invention is shown in FIG. The main body 1 of the welding end tab is formed by molding and solidifying a composition mainly composed of a refractory metal oxide into a tile shape.

The welding end tab of the present invention has a small hole 2 on the surface opposite to the side that holds back molten metal. This small hole 2 does not penetrate through the welding end tab, but is in the form of a recess with an appropriate depth, and is located approximately in the center of the back surface of the welding end tab.

In the mounting bracket shown in Figure 2, (a) is when expanded (when in use)
(b) is an example of a product that is bent into a rectangular shape, and (b) is an example of a product that is bent into an arc shape when expanded (in use). The clip 4 consists of tip parts 5a and 5b, and is made of a continuous piece of bent steel wire. By the way, the W4 wire is inherently elastic, and if it is pressed with a conventional clip 4 that has been simply bent as shown in Fig. The purpose of attaching a welding end tab can be achieved. However, in such a state, the tip of the clip that is being pressed tends to shift and is extremely unstable. Therefore, although the installation itself is simple, it is difficult to prevent molten metal from flowing away during welding or to solve problems such as dislodgement of the welding end tab due to slight impacts 7 during welding.

The welding end tab of the present invention solves this problem, and the fixing method of the present invention is as shown in FIG. That is, the tip 5 of the clip is oriented toward the inside of the welding line, and is inserted into the small hole 2 of the welding end tab la as a pressing end. This condition is also the same on the welding end tab Ib side. In such a state, if the clip 4 is firmly pressed, the positional relationship between the tip 5 of the clip and the welding end tab will not shift even if there is considerable impact.

As described above, the welding end tab and the fixing method thereof according to the present invention enable the welding end tab to be easily and firmly attached to the workpiece to be welded, and it is possible to obtain an extremely sound welded part.

By the way, the welding end tab in the present invention has a refractory metal oxide as its main component, but the present invention does not specify this component, and instead uses ordinary silica, alumina, zircon, magnesia, etc. The shape is similar to that of a conventional welding end tab except that it has a small hole.

Furthermore, the welding end tab of the present invention is within the scope of the present invention as long as it is used in a method other than the mounting bracket according to the present invention method in which the pressing end is inserted into a small hole. The steel wire of the clip is usually 2 to 5
A circular cross section of about mmΦ is used, but other shapes such as a rectangular shape may also be used. Regarding the composition of the steel wire, ordinary carbon steel may be used, but it is necessary to select it by taking into consideration the size of the material to be welded, the amount of welding heat input, whether preheating is required, etc. (
