``Prior Art'' As a conventional method for manufacturing a weather strip, there is a method as shown in FIG. 1, for example. Reference numeral 1 denotes a core material whose outer surface is coated with a covering material 2 made of synthetic resin such as vinyl chloride, which is bent into a substantially U-shaped cross section to form a mounting portion. In this part of the mounting part,

``Problems to be Solved by the Invention'' However, in the conventional manufacturing method of weather strips, the mounting seal lip and the seal lip are separately molded and then bonded together, so there is no need to worry about the adhesive application process or the bonding There were problems such as the need for man-hours such as masking and primer treatment of the surface to which the adhesive was not applied, and the need for heating for the curing reaction of the adhesive.

"Means for Solving the Problems" The present invention was made by focusing on such conventional problems, and includes EVA (EVA), which can be bonded to a rubber sponge material, on at least the surface of the mounting portion to which the seal lip is bonded. Co-extrusion molding of hot melt adhesives such as ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer and olefin adhesives allows the coating on the attachment part to still be flexible, and the adhesive to maintain its flexibility and adhesive strength at high temperatures. Immediately after it is extruded from the cap while holding the adhesive, a rubber sponge seal lip that has been vulcanized and molded in advance is added and pressed to the adhesive surface, and then the attachment part and the adhesive are cooled and hardened. The purpose is to solve the above problems by integrally adhesively molding a rubber sponge seal lip on a part of the seal.

A covering material made of synthetic resin such as vinyl chloride for covering the core material 1 is applied to the head portion 7 by the extruder 5.
A hot melt adhesive 4 such as EVA or olefin adhesive is supplied to a part of the attachment part by the extruder 6 to the head part 7. It is extruded in the shape shown in . The covering material 2 and adhesive 4 coated on the outer periphery of the core material 1 are extruded while still being flexible, and a seal lip 3 made of sponge rubber such as EP rubber is immediately attached to the base 7a on the surface of the adhesive 4. The adhesive is supplied from the gap formed between the jig 7b and the sealing lip 3 is bonded to the four adhesive surfaces of the mounting portion element body 13a by applying pressure, thereby forming the weather strip element body 13b. 3a is a storage box for the seal lip 3. The molded weather strip body 13b is cooled in a cooling bath 8, and the coating material 2 and adhesive 4 are cured. Reference numeral 9 denotes a pulling machine, which is a power unit for moving the weather strip body 13b to the right side in the drawing. The flat mounting part is formed into a weather strip 13c with a roughly U-shaped cross section as shown in FIG. 2 by a bender roll 10 made up of a large number of rollers, and is shaped into a weather strip 13c with a roughly U-shaped cross section as shown in FIG. After passing through an annealing tank 11 for removing the heat, it is cut into a finished product by a cutting device 12 such as a rotary saw.

"Effects of the Invention" As explained above, according to this invention,
Its structure is made by co-extruding a rubber sponge agent and a bondable hot melt adhesive onto at least the surface of the mounting part where the seal lip will be bonded, and then adding and pressing a pre-vulcanized rubber sponge seal lip to the bonding surface. Since the rubber sponge seal lip is integrally adhesively molded on one surface of the mounting part, the adhesive can be applied by extruding it from the mouthpiece at high temperature while maintaining flexibility and adhesive strength. The parts were defined accurately and masking was no longer necessary.

Furthermore, there is no need for an adhesive application process, reducing the overall number of man-hours. In addition, by pressing the rubber sponge seal lip immediately after extrusion from the mouthpiece, the coating material and the rubber sponge seal lip can be firmly bonded without heating and activating the hot melt adhesive. Since no excessive pressure or heat is applied to the sponge seal lip, the rubber sponge seal lip will not be crushed. Furthermore, effects such as the ability to adhesively mold the mounting portion made of synthetic resin, which is inexpensive and easy to mold, and the seal lip made of rubber sponge, which has good repulsion characteristics, without primer treatment can be obtained.
