[Detailed Description of the Invention] The present invention relates to a yam digging tool suitable for use in digging out yams that grow naturally in mountains and fields.

Conventionally, a yam digging tool is known, for example, as shown in Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 16048/1983. That is, as shown in FIG. 1, the main pipe 1 and the auxiliary pipe 2 are arranged in parallel, and the lower ends of both pipes 1 and 2 are rotated at an appropriate interval to the mounting surface 5 of the upper surface of the hoe blade 3. The upper ends of both tubes 1 and 2 are rotatably connected to the inside of the central part of the operating grip 4, facing the pivoting part of the mounting bracket 5, and the hoe blade 3 and the operating grip are connected to each other. There is one in which the main pipe 1 and the auxiliary pipe 2 are attached in a parallel crank shape. Therefore, when the operating grip 4 is tilted forward, the hoe blade 3 becomes parallel to the main pipe 1 and the auxiliary pipe 2, making it easier to dig in, as shown in the same figure, and when the operating grip 4 is tilted backward, the hoe The blade 3 can be bent forward to scrape out soil from the bottom of a deep hole.

However, yams grow wild in the mountains and fields, and the surrounding soil conditions are completely different from the cultivated long yams.
In other words, the former grows naturally in forests and fields, so the area around which yams grow is rocky and densely populated with vines and logs. In addition, rhizomes grow by bending around underground rocks, and in order to dig them out without breaking them, surrounding underground rocks and highly viscous soil must be removed, and removal requires It takes a lot of time and effort. The latter resembles a yam, but is distinguished by its wide leaves and different colored stems and petioles, and is usually cultivated and grown on agricultural land.
Therefore, the soil in which it is cultivated has been improved to make it easy to grow and harvest, and the surrounding area is not densely planted with vines or plants, and the underground soil is also of good quality, with no rocks, pebbles, etc. Anything that harms growth is removed. Therefore, when harvesting long yams, they can be easily harvested by digging deep into the ground with an instrument like the one shown in Figure 1 and operating the operating handle 4. It is difficult to harvest long yams from underground that cannot be broken using simple methods.

In view of this, the present invention has been developed by forming a wide part on one side of the metal body for scraping out soil and a tip part on the other side for prying open rocks, etc., in order to dig out growing yams by bypassing underground rocks, etc. The main purpose is to propose a yam digging tool that can be used to dig yam.

FIG. 2 is a perspective view showing an example of the present invention. Reference numeral 6 indicates a so-called solid steel main body with a length of about 1 to 1.5 m, and a wide portion 7 is formed at one end and a tip portion 8 is formed at the other end. The main body 6 can be made of construction reinforcing steel, and is preferably a round or square material with a thickness of about 15 to 30 mm. Since a large number of protrusions are formed on such reinforcing bars at regular intervals in the circumferential direction during molding, the protrusions serve as a non-slip device when used as an instrument. One end of the main body 6 is forged to form a wide portion 7 in order to scrape out earth and sand. If the width of the wide portion 7 is made wider than the handle like in a scoop tip, it will cause inconvenience in actual use, so the width of the wide portion 7 should be up to about four times the thickness of the main body 6. A curve is formed along the axis, and the tip is sharpened into a sharp point. The front side (concave side) of the wide part 7 is formed into a rough surface, and a groove 9 for catching dirt and sand is formed gradually deeper along the center of the main body 6 which becomes a handle. Conversely, the back side (convex side) is finished with a mirror finish to prevent dirt from adhering to it. on the other hand,
The tip 8 of the main body 6 is at a certain angle with respect to the axis, for example.
By bending the tip about 15 degrees, it has a hardened forged finish that can withstand use for prying, crushing, or scraping rocks.

When using this proposal, if the rhizomes of yam grow underground, for example, by digging between rocks,
The rock can be easily removed by prying the rock with the tip 8 of the main body 6 or by pushing the rock to open a crack in the rock. In addition, if the underground soil is viscous and difficult to excavate, the surface of the wide part 7 (concave side) should correspond to the yam side, and by repeatedly applying a load to the ground several times and hanging down, the body 6 can absorb its own weight. It goes quite deep and can easily separate the underground stems to be harvested from unwanted roots. In this case, since the front part of the wide part 7 is formed into a rough surface and the back part is formed into a mirror surface, when the wide part 7 hangs down, the frictional resistance on the back side is smaller than the frictional resistance on the front side, so that the tip of the wide part 7 moves forward. The direction will curve in the direction of least frictional resistance, that is, in the opposite direction to the position of the yam. Therefore, it is possible to eliminate the risk of the tip of the instrument coming into contact with the yam and damaging it. Furthermore, like a lever, there are 5~
By tilting by 10 degrees, a void is formed between the yam stem and the soil, so if the soil near the void is scraped out to the outside with the surface of the wide part 7, the yam can be easily dug out. becomes. At this time, dirt adheres to the front surface, but does not adhere to the back surface, so workability is good. In addition, when vines and plants grow densely around the native yam habitat, the tip of the wide part 7 can be used in the same way as a hatchet or a hatchet, so you can dig it without bringing any other equipment. It is enough to bring one ingredient. Yams grow wild in steep and deep mountains, so it's better to carry as few equipment as possible when collecting them to avoid fatigue.

As described above, according to the present invention, one side of the main body made of solid steel has a large number of protrusions formed at regular intervals in the circumferential direction during forming, and a wide and sharp wide part is formed on the other side of the main body. The front part of the wide part is formed with a rough surface, and the back part is formed with a mirror finish, so that when the digging tool is lowered, the convex part provides a sufficient grip. In addition, the frictional resistance on the back side of the wide part becomes smaller than the frictional resistance on the front side, and the advancing direction of the tip of the wide part curves in the direction of less frictional resistance, that is, in the opposite direction to the position of the yam. This eliminates the risk of damage due to contact with the yams, and furthermore, digging out and harvesting yams, which grow naturally by eating into cracks in rocks, etc. underground, can be completed in a shorter period of time with less human fatigue. This has the effect that it is sufficient to bring the proposed digging tools without having to bring many tools.
