Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 (産業上の利用分野) 本発明は繊維補強合成樹脂製釘の製造方法に関
するものである。
(従来の技術) 従来、繊維補強合成樹脂製釘は射出成形によつ
て成形されていた。
(発明が解決しようとする問題点) しかしながら、従来の射出成形によつて釘を成
形する場合、軸長、軸径の異なる各種釘に応じた
それぞれの射出成形用金型が必要であり、又短繊
維による金型の摩耗が激しくコスト高となつてい
た。
更に、射出成形では合成樹脂に含有できる短繊
維の長さに限度があり、成形された釘の強度が不
十分である問題点があつた。
(問題点を解決するための手段) そこで本発明は従来の問題点に鑑み鋭意研究の
結果短繊維を含有した熱可塑性合成樹脂材料を所
定の径の細棒状に連続的に押出成形した後、釘の
所定の長さよりやや長い寸法に順次切断し、該切
断した棒状体の一端に尖鋭加工を施すと共に他端
を加熱しつつ長さ方向に圧縮加工して頭部を形成
することにより上述の問題点を解消した繊維補強
合成樹脂製釘の製造方法を完成したのである。
以下、本発明について順次その製造工程に沿つ
て説明する。
まず、押出成形機によりガラス繊維等の短繊維
が含有されたポリ塩化ビニル、ABS樹脂、ポリ
アミド、ポリカーボネート等の熱可塑性合成樹脂
材料を所定の径の細棒状に連続的に押出成形す
る。短繊維はあらかじめ合成樹脂と混合されて押
出成形機に供給されてもよいし、別々に押出成形
機に供給されて、押出成形機内で樹脂と短繊維が
混合されてもよい。又、このとき細棒状に押出成
形した押出物は合成樹脂中に押出方向に沿つて短
繊維が並んだ状態となされている。
次いで押出成形した細棒状の押出物を釘の所定
の長さよりやや長い寸法に順次連続的に切断し、
釘の素材となる棒状体を形成する。
次いで、該棒状体の一端に釘の尖鋭部を形成す
るための尖鋭加工を施し、他端に釘の軸径よりも
大きくなされた頭部を形成するために、変形し得
る温度に加熱しつつ、長さ方向外方からの押圧力
を加えて圧縮し成形する。又、上述の尖鋭加工は
棒状体を切削したり、あるいは加熱して変形加工
してもよい。このようにして短繊維により補強さ
れた合成樹脂製釘が形成される。
(発明の効果) 以上詳述した如く、本発明は短繊維を含有した
熱可塑性合成樹脂材料を所定の径のの細棒状に連
続的に押出成形するので、同径であれば種々の長
さの釘を製造することができる。
また本発明は切断した棒状体の一端を尖鋭加工
すると共に他端を加熱しつつ長さ方向に圧縮加工
するので先端の尖鋭角度を自由に設定することが
できると共に頭部の大きさも自由に設定すること
ができ、一種類の太さの棒状体から用途に応じて
種々の合成樹脂釘を製造することができる。
さらに本発明は短繊維を含有した熱可塑性合成
樹脂材料を押出成形するので、合成樹脂材料に含
有された短繊維は押出方向すなわち釘の長さ方向
に揃い釘の剛性が向上上する。
したがつて、本発明によれば十分な強度を有す
る安価な釘を各種提供できるのである。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 1 短繊維を含有した熱可塑性合成樹脂材料を所
    定の径の細棒状に連続的に押出成形した後、釘の
    所定の長さよりやや長い寸法に順次切断し、該切
    断した棒状体の一端に尖鋭加工を施すと共に他端
    を加熱しつつ長さ方向に圧縮加工して頭部を形成
    することを特徴とする繊維補強合成樹脂製釘の製
    造方法。
