[Detailed Description of the Invention] (Industrial Application Field) The present invention relates to a storage box for a motorcycle, and in particular, the bottom part of the box body that can expand the storage capacity when the box body is disposed below the seat. Concerning shape improvement. [Prior Art] In some motorcycles, a storage box is provided below the seat. However, there is a fuel tank under the seat. Oil tank. Since relatively large in-vehicle components such as batteries are generally installed, it is difficult to expand the capacity of the storage box. In this situation,
As a conventional example of a structure designed to increase storage capacity, for example, Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 63-50787. Jitsukai Showa 63-18419
There is one described in Publication No. 0. The storage box is arranged so that at least its main part is located in front of the engine unit, and the front part of the storage box bulges downward, thereby increasing the storage capacity. I try to do that. [Problems to be Solved by the Invention] However, in the above conventional example, the storage box bulges downward at the front side of the engine unit, so the entire engine unit must be mounted toward the rear, or at least the cylinder head must be mounted. It will be necessary to tilt the vehicle backwards, etc.
On the other hand, if the engine unit is left as is, the front wall of the body cover below the seat will bulge out forward, which inevitably reduces the foot space. The present invention has been made in the above-mentioned conventional situation. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a motorcycle storage box that can secure storage capacity without affecting footrest space. [Means for Solving the Problems] The present invention includes a vehicle body cover that surrounds the lower part of the seat, an engine unit mounted below the vehicle body cover, and a rear wheel disposed behind the engine unit. In the storage box for a motorcycle, a box main body is disposed below the seat and within the vehicle body cover, and at least a part of the bottom wall of the box main body is formed by a part of the engine unit and the rear wheel. It is characterized by bulging downward so that it is located within a concave space. Here, the engine unit in the present invention is a concept that includes not only the engine body such as the cylinder, cylinder head, and head cover, but also parts connected to the engine body such as the carburetor and air cleaner. In addition, the concave space formed by a part of the engine unit and the rear wheel is defined by, for example, a line connecting the part that protrudes from the top of the engine unit and the upper edge of the rear wheel in the raised position. Refers to the space formed below. [Function] According to the storage box for a motorcycle according to the present invention, at least a part of the bottom wall of the box body is formed into a concave space, which has not been used in the past, and is made up of a part of the engine unit and the rear wheel. Since it bulges downward so that it is located within the dead space, the capacity of the storage box can be expanded while making effective use of the dead space. Since the present invention is a structure that uses dead space to expand capacity as described above, the engine mounting position is different from the conventional structure in which the box body bulges out in front of the engine unit. There is no problem with foot space. [Example] Hereinafter, an example of the present invention will be explained with reference to the drawings. 1 to 4 are diagrams for explaining a storage box for a motorcycle according to a first embodiment of the present invention. In the figure, l is a motorcycle to which this embodiment is applied, and the body frame 2 of the motorcycle is of the so-called steel tube underbone type, and the upper end of the vertical side of the main pipe 2a is approximately L-shaped when viewed from the side. At the same time, connect the belly button pipe 2b to the left side near the rear end of the lower side. The front ends of the right pair of rear pipes 2C, 2C are connected, and after both rear pipes 2c are bent substantially vertically upward, they are extended rearward approximately horizontally, the rear ends are slightly tilted upward, and the left rear pipes 2c are bent substantially vertically upward. It has a structure in which the right-hand vibes are interconnected. The above two rear pipes 2
Near the front end of c is a flat footrest 3a. A front fork 5 which pivotally supports the front fork 4 at its lower end is supported by the head pipe 2b, and a steering handle 5a is fixed to the upper end of the front fork 5. Further, a bathoter 3c is mounted on the left outer side of the head pipe 2b. The upper parts of the main pipe 2a, head pipe 2b, and front fork 5 are surrounded by a resog shield 21 that covers the front half of the vehicle body cover 19. A unit swing type engine unit 6 is suspended and supported on the horizontal extension of the rear pipe 2C so as to be able to swing up and down. This engine unit 6 includes a transmission case 7
Cylinder body 9. It has a structure with all cylinder head IO. A pivot portion 8a is formed in the upper portion (back portion) of the crankcase 8.
a is movably supported via a support link 8b by a support bracket 3b fixed to the horizontal extension of the rear vibe 2C. A carburetor l3 is located in front of the bivoft section 8a. The carburetor l3 is connected to the cylinder head lO via a carburetor joint l3a, and is located approximately at the center of the cylinder head 10 in the width direction. Additionally, an air cleaner 14 is connected to this carburetor l3 via an intake duct 14a.
is connected. This air cleaner 14 is disposed on the left side of the vehicle, so the intake duct 14a is bent from the center in the vehicle width direction to the left side (see FIG. 3). A rear wheel l1 is pivotally supported at the rear end of the transmission case 7, and a shock absorber 12 is disposed between the rear end and the vicinity of the rear end of the rear pipe 2C. Further, a fender 25 is attached to the rear end 11 so as to cover the upper edge of the rear end 11.
Moreover, it is mounted so as to move up and down together with the rear wheel 1l. As a result, the rear fender 25, and even the rear fender 1
l, and a carburetor l3.l, which constitutes a part of the engine unit 6. When viewed from the side, there is a concave space A between the intake duct l4a and the intake duct l4a. Further, a seat 17 consisting of a front seat 15 and a rear seat 16 is arranged above the rear pipe 2c. The front seat 15 is attached to the rear pipe 2C with a bracket (
The seat surface 15a thereof is substantially horizontal, and the rear portion of the lower edge 15b of the side wall 15d is formed in an upward slope. Further, the rear seat 16 is pivotally supported by a hinge bin 18a on the upper end of a bracket 2d erected at the rear end of the rear vibe 2C, the seat surface 16a is formed slightly rearwardly, and the lower edge 16b is The lower edge of the front seat 15 is formed in a continuous upward slope at the rear. Also, the above rear sea}1

The front edge of the rear seat 16 overlaps the rear edge of the rear seat 15, and this overlapping line L has an arc shape as shown by diagonal lines in FIG. The lower periphery of the seat 17 is surrounded by a side cover 20 forming the rear half of the vehicle body cover 19. In the lower part of the rear seat l6 of this side cover 20,
The carrier 22 is installed in an inclined manner along the lower edge 16b of the rear seat l6. The carrier 22 has a U-shape in plan view, and is integrally formed so that an assist grip 22a for a rear seat passenger is located behind the rear seat 16.
A trapezoidal notch 27 is formed at the rear end of the right side wall of the front seat 15 when viewed in the direction of travel, and the cough notch 27 has a lid vi for opening and closing it. 28 are installed. Further, a fuel tank 26 is disposed within the side cover 20 and below the front seat 15.
This fuel tank 26 includes a lower tank 26a and an upper tank 26b.
The flanges are welded together. A fuel supply pipe 26c is welded to the rear end of the right side wall of the upper tank 26b in the traveling direction. This oil supply pipe 26C extends to the inner surface of the cover plate 28. Then, inside the side cover 20 and the rear seat l.
A box body 23 in which a helmet 24 can be stored is provided below the box 6. The side wall 23a of the box main body 23 is circular in diameter, slightly larger than the helmet 7 when viewed from above, and extends from the rear seat 1 to the rear seat 1 from the rear pipe 2c.
It has a cylindrical shape with a height up to around the bottom plate 16C of No. 6. A non-woven fabric 23f is attached to the inner surface of the storage box 23, and the upper edge 2 of the non-woven fabric 23f and the side wall 23a is attached to the inner surface of the storage box 23.
A molding 23g is attached to 3C, and is formed downward in the front along the bottom plate 16C. A seal member till attached to the bottom plate 16C is in pressure contact with the molding 23g. Further, the bottom wall 23b integrally formed at the lower end of the side wall 23a is sloped downward toward the front. A relief 23d is formed approximately in the center of the bottom wall 23b to avoid interference with the rear ender 25, and a front portion 23e of the bottom wall 23b is formed as shown in solid lines in FIG. The carburetor 13 that monitors the engine unit 6 and the carburetor 2 that moves to the raised position
It bulges out downward so as to be located in the above-mentioned concave space A, which is horizontally intersected by 5 and 5. In this embodiment, the front portion 23e is located within the concave space A even when the rear wheel l1 is in its lowered position, as shown by the two-dot chain line in the figure.
As a result, when the storage box 23 is viewed from the side, the bottom shape in particular follows the shape of the lower edge of the helmet 24, and the front portion 23e (bulging portion) is the pivot center of the engine unit 6. It is located immediately behind the pivot portion 8a. Next, the effects of this embodiment will be explained.

To store, for example, a helmet 24 in the box body 23 of the motorcycle l of this embodiment, hold the front end of the rear seat 16 with your hand and rotate it rearward and upward. Then, the opening (upper edge 23C) of the box body 23 is exposed to the outside, and in this state, the helmet 24 is inserted so that its jaw 24a faces downward and forward. Then, the jaw portion 24a is located within the front portion 236 of the bottom wall 23d, so that the helmet 24 is stored within the box body 23 below the seat. In this way, in this embodiment, the bottom wall 23 of the box body 23
Since the front part 23e of d is bulged into the concave space A between the carburetor 13 and intake duct 14a which sideways the engine unit 6, and the engine duct 25, which moves to the raised position,
Box capacity can be expanded by making use of previously unused defied space. Moreover, since the above-mentioned bulging shape matches the shape of the helmet 24, which is the main storage item, a relatively large helmet 24 can be stored without difficulty. Further, in this embodiment, since the bulging portion (front portion 23e) is located near the pivot portion 8a, which is the center of swing of the engine unit 6, the structural portion of the engine unit 6 is located in the front portion 236. There is no interference during rocking. Further, in this embodiment, the seat 17 is the front seat, and the rear seat 15 is the front seat 17.
.. The rear seat is divided into 16 parts and actually covers the box body 23! Since only 6 is rotated, you only need to open and close the necessary parts, making opening and closing the seat light and easy. Furthermore, the bottom plate 16c and the lower edge 16b of the rear seat 16
The upper edge 23c of the box body 23 is also formed upward at the rear, and the high part of the rear end of the rear seat 16 is set as the center of rotation, so that the rear seat 16
When the box body 23 is rotated, the area near the opening of the box body 23 is opened wide, making it extremely easy to take in and take out stored items. Furthermore, in this embodiment, the overlapping line L between the front seat 15 and the rear seat 16 is formed into an arc shape in plan view, and the box body 23 is formed into a circular shape along the above arc. When the rear seat 16 is opened, the surrounding area of the box body 23 is not exposed, and the appearance can be improved accordingly. In the above embodiment, the storage box 23 is located in the rear seat 1.
Although the box body of the present invention is of a size located only below the box body 6, the box body of the present invention is not limited to such a size. FIG. 5 shows a second embodiment in which a box main body 41 of a size extending over the entire length of the seat 17 is provided, and the same reference numerals as in FIG. 1 indicate the same or equivalent parts. Box body 41 of this embodiment
The front seat l5. The upper edge 41c of the side wall 41a is formed to extend approximately the entire length of the rear seam 16.
When viewed from the side, it is formed upwardly at the rear along the bottom wall 15c of the front seat 15 and the bottom wall 16c of the rear seat 16. Further, a substantially central portion 41d of the bottom wall 4lb in the longitudinal direction bulges downward so as to be located within the space between the carburetor l3 and the rear ender 25. Note that the fuel tank 26 in the first embodiment is mounted, for example, near the footrest 3a. The front end of the front seat 15 is rotatably supported via a connecting pin 18 by a bracket 416 integrally formed on the side wall 41a of the box body 4l. In this embodiment, in order to take things in and out of the box body 41, one or both of the rear seat 16 and the front seat 15 is rotated to open the necessary part of the opening of the box body 41. It is done by exposing it to the outside. In this way, in this embodiment, the central part 4 of the box body 4l
1d is bulged into the concave space A between the carburetor 13 and the rear end 25, so the storage capacity can be expanded while making use of the dead space as in the first embodiment. Also, place seat l7 at the front. The rear seat is divided into two parts, 15 and 16, and each is divided into two parts at the front. Since the box body 41 is rotated later, it is possible to make the box main body 41 large enough to cover the entire length of the seat, and only open the necessary part.
There is no need to open and close large seats, making storage easier. Furthermore, since the upper peak 41C of the box body 4l is sealed by each of the two divided sheets, sealing performance can be improved. By the way, if a large, integrated seat is used for sealing, for example, if only the driver is on board, the rear part of the seat tends to lift up, deteriorating the sealing performance, but this example does not have this concern. .. [Effects of the Invention] As described above, according to the storage box for a motorcycle according to the present invention, at least a portion of the bottom wall of the storage box is bulged out so as to be located in the space between the engine unit and the rear wheel. This has the effect of expanding storage capacity while making effective use of deflated space.
