This type of feed horn generally consists of a horn body for receiving circularly polarized waves or linearly polarized waves, and a transformer section that extracts horizontally polarized waves or vertically polarized waves from the linearly polarized wave output from the horn body. In the case where the transformer part is separated from the horn body, by rotating the transformer part 90 degrees on its axis and assembling it into the horn body, it is possible to selectively receive vertically polarized waves and horizontally polarized waves. For circularly polarized wave reception, it is possible to selectively receive right-handed circularly polarized waves and left-handed circularly polarized waves.

The separate type feed horn is shown in FIGS. 4 and 5.
As shown in the figure, flange portions 52 and 53 are provided protrudingly at both ends of the transformer portion 51, and the flange portion 52 is removably attached to a flange portion 55 provided protrudingly from the base of the horn body 54 with screws 56. 53 is removably attached to the end of the converter 57 with a screw 58.

In such a separate type feed horn, when the horn body 54 is attached to the converter 57, the transformer section 51 is attached to the horn body 54 and then the transformer section 51 is attached to the converter 57, or the transformer section 51 is attached to the converter 57. Since the horn body 54 was attached to the transformer section 51 after installation,
The drawback is that it takes time to assemble. Further, since screws 58 for connecting the converter 57 and the transformer section 51 and screws 56 for connecting the transformer section 51 and the horn body 54 are required as connectors, there is a drawback that the number of parts increases. Furthermore, since the screw 58 connecting the transformer section 51 and the converter 57 is operated from the side with an L-shaped screwdriver, it is not possible to narrow the space between the flange sections 52 and 53 for driver operation, compared to an integrated type. The disadvantage is that the feed horn is long.

In a feed horn in which a horn body 1 and a transformer part 2 are separately attached to a converter 3, the horn body 1 has a flange part 6 and a fitting hole 12 formed on the base side, and a horn body 1 having a flange part 6 and a fitting hole 12 formed on the outer surface side. The cylindrical surface portion 4 to be fitted and the transformer portion 2 in which the flange portion 5 connected thereto is formed are fitted into the cylindrical surface portion 4 through the fitting hole 12, and through this fitting, both opposing flange portions 5, 6 are formed. It is removably attached to the converter 3 by means of a connector 7 inserted through the converter 3.

2 by fitting the cylindrical surface part 4 of the transformer part 2 into the flange part 6 of the horn body 1 and the flange part 5 of the transformer part 2.
A connector 7 is inserted through the connector 7, and the horn body 1 and the transformer section 2 are fixed to the converter 3 at the same time.

Therefore, although the feed horn 8 is a separate type, the feed horn 8 can be attached to the converter 3 as efficiently as an integrated type, and the number of connectors 7 is minimized. In addition, in order to arbitrarily set the polarization that can be transmitted and received, the horn body 1 and the transformer section 2 or the transformer section 2 are connected to each other.
The work of assembling the converter 3 and converter 3 by shifting them 90 degrees around the axis can be done easily and quickly. Further, since the flange portion 5 of the transformer portion 2 and the flange portion 6 of the horn body 1 can be attached to the converter 3 in a manner that they are substantially in contact with each other, the length of the feed horn 8 can be shortened.

[Example] An example of the present invention will be described based on the drawings. What is shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 is a feed horn 8 for circularly polarized wave reception consisting of a horn body 1 and a separate transformer section 2. The horn body 1 has a horn section attached to one end of a waveguide section 9. 10 has a flange portion 6 protruding from the other end, and an O-ring groove 11 is provided on the flange portion 6 side.
A fitting hole 12 is formed at the back of the fitting hole 12.
A dielectric material 1 is provided on the inner circumferential surface 13 of the waveguide portion 9 connected to the
4 or other 90° phase shifter. The transformer section 2 has a cylindrical surface section 4 that fits into the fitting hole 12 on the outer circumferential surface, a flange section 5 on the converter 3 mounting side, and a round hole 15 and a rectangular hole 16 on the inner circumferential surface to accommodate the transformer 17.
At the same time, an absorption resistor 18 is provided in the round hole 15. On the other hand, the converter 3 has an O-ring groove 20 formed on the surface 19 facing the flange portion 5 .

The cylindrical surface portion 4 of the transformer section 2 is fitted into the fitting hole 12 of the horn body 1, and the four connectors 7 inserted through the flange section 6 of the horn body 1 and the flange section 5 of the transformer section 2 are assembled in this embodiment. In the example, the horn body 1 and the transformer section 2 are attached to the converter 3 using four screws. Although O-rings 21 and 22 are used in the annular grooves 11 and 20 to ensure watertightness, a gasket or a liquid gasket may be used instead of the O-rings.

FIG. 3 shows another embodiment of the invention. The horn body 1 has a horn portion 10 at one end of a circular waveguide portion 24 and a flange portion 6 projecting from the other end, and a fitting hole 12 is formed on the flange portion 6 side. The transformer section 2 has a cylindrical surface section 4 that fits into the fitting hole 12 on the outer circumferential surface, a flange section 5 on the converter 3 mounting side, and a round hole 15 and a rectangular hole 16 on the inner circumferential surface to accommodate the transformer 17.
form. In this embodiment, since linearly polarized waves are received, the dielectric, other 90° phase shifter, and absorption resistor are not required. Further, since a gasket 23 or a liquid gasket is used instead of the O-ring, no ring groove for the O-ring is provided. Other configurations are first

As is clear from the above explanation, according to the present invention, the cylindrical surface part of the transformer part is fitted into the fitting hole of the horn body, and the connector is inserted between the flange part of the transformer part and the flange part of the horn body. Since the converter is attached to the horn body and the transformer section at the same time, even though they are separate types, they can be assembled and disassembled as efficiently as an integrated type, and selective reception of polarized waves can be easily performed. In addition, the number of connectors is minimized, reducing the number of parts, and the flange of the transformer section and the flange of the horn body can be attached to the converter in a manner that they are almost in contact with each other, reducing the length of the feed horn. There are advantages that can be achieved. Further, due to the fitting between the fitting hole of the horn body and the cylindrical surface portion of the transformer portion, leakage of radio waves within the feed horn is less likely to occur.
