(b) Prior Art When sewing knitted fabrics for athletic wear, overlock stitching as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4 is commonly performed. For the purpose of reinforcing this overlock seam, lowering the lock part 22 to lower the peak, and creating a stitch decoration on the surface along both sides of the suture line 21, a double needle is often used to stitch it down. be. The present invention relates to a metal fitting for holding down the cloth used for this down stitching.

Conventional hold-down metal fittings are equipped with a fabric holding plate and a fabric guide claw, but they do not have a structure suitable for sewing the lock part, which is becoming taller these days. First, in particular, since the guide claw is integrally fixed to the main body of the metal fitting, when the presser metal fitting is used to perform covert stitching, the bulk of the lock portion 24 will increase as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, for example. Therefore, the guiding operation of the fabric is not performed smoothly, and the fabric is fed in a distorted state, which causes the stitching line 23 to become bent, and stitches 25 and 26 of the upper thread of the lie-down stitch that appear on both sides of the stitching line 23. Often, these do not appear at equal intervals with respect to the suture line 23, seriously detracting from the appearance. In the figure, 27 indicates the bobbin thread of the lie-down stitch.

(c) Problems to be solved by the invention In view of the above-mentioned problems in the prior art, the present invention solves the problem of overlock stitching with a high lock part as shown in Figs. 7 and 8. , stitches 29 and 30 of the needle thread on both sides of the suture line 28 by overlocking are applied to the suture line 28.
To provide a fabric presser metal fitting for smoothly and beautifully performing down stitching with a double needle, such as appearing at equal intervals.

(d) Means for solving the problem The means adopted to solve the above problem will be described using an illustrative diagram. A pair of fabric presser plates 4 and 5 are attached to the presser metal body 3 so as to be movable up and down with the plate surfaces horizontally located on the outer sides of the parts 1 and 2, and a push spring provided on the presser metal body 3 is attached. 6 and 7 to press the cloth presser plates 4 and 5 from above, and then insert the plate-shaped cloth guide claw 8 on the presser metal main body 3 so that the plate surface is positioned forward on the center line of the needle drop portions 1 and 2. It is characterized in that it is attached vertically so as to be movable up and down, and the cloth guide pawl 8 is pressed from above by a pressing spring 9 provided on the presser metal body 3.

(E) Function The fabric having the overlocked seam is held down by the fabric holding plates 4 and 5, the fabric guide claw 8 is placed on the stitching line, the fabric is fed, and two-needle downstitching is performed. At this time, the lock portion of the fabric collapses due to the pressure of the sewing machine table, and at the same time, the fabric surface in this vicinity is raised. The cloth pressing plates 4 and 5 are pressed by pressing springs 6,
7, it moves up and down depending on the degree of bulge on the fabric surface, and does not cause distortion to the fabric. The cloth guide claw 8, which is pressed from above by the pressure spring 9, also moves up and down according to the degree of protrusion of the cloth surface, and during this time, the lower end of the nail plate perpendicular to the plate surface presses the cloth on the seam line. The fabric is fed while keeping the suture line straight.

Fabric presser plates 4 and 5, which are provided below the bottom surface 3a of the presser main body with an interval 10 from the bottom surface, rise to the maximum extent due to the protrusion of the fabric surface and come into contact with the bottom surface 3a of the main body. Even if there is a case, there is a space between the bottom surface 3a of the main body and the fabric surface at least equivalent to the thickness of the fabric presser plate 4 in the area sandwiched between the pair of fabric presser plates 4 and 5. Therefore, the bumps on the fabric surface can be accommodated in this space,
Does not interfere with cloth feeding.
