This invention relates to a forming mechanism for a staple material for a stapler that is used to punch out and staple paper.

The sides are regulated and supplied by. The material S is formed into a U-shape by a forming plate 13 equipped with a concave mold 14 that faces downward and is symmetrically formed at the tip of the supply path. .

原因となつていた。 In the forming mechanism 10 having the above configuration, the dimension between the left and right guide side walls 12, 12 is the staple material S.
The width dimension of the staple material S is set to be slightly larger than that of the staple material S in order to lubricate the supply of the staple material S.
It can be said that it is at an undefined position between 2 and 12. For example, when the material is arranged biased toward one guide side wall 12, if it is formed by the forming plate 13 described above, the length dimension of the left and right staple legs will be a predetermined value for one leg S2. The staple leg S1 is formed to be shorter than the specified dimension, and the other leg S1 is formed to be longer than the predetermined dimension, which causes buckling of the staple leg during the next punching process, causing it to become stuck inside the stapler and malfunction. Also, as shown in FIG. 5, one leg after the paper is bound, that is, the longer leg S1, breaks through the paper and protrudes further above the crown portion S3 of the staple. This was a cause of so-called re-penetration.

This forcibly moves the staple material in a predetermined direction. That is, the inner lower edges of the concave mold formed corresponding to the anvils of the forming plate form the shoulders of the staple at different stroke positions of the forming plate. It is characterized in that the positions of the portions that come into contact with the shoulder portions are formed at different positions, and the distance between the guide side wall on the side where the staple material moves and the anvil is set to a predetermined leg length dimension. be.

A predetermined leg length dimension is thereby set. Therefore, no matter where the staple material is located in the supply path, the legs of the staple after forming can be kept approximately the same, and problems such as buckling and re-penetration during paper binding can be eliminated. It is possible.

This sheet-shaped staple material S has a guide rail 21 configured inside the stapler,
21 and guided by guide side walls 22, 22 formed on both left and right sides, the stapler is supplied to a forming mechanism provided at the front end of the stapler by a supply mechanism 23 such as an endless belt. The forming mechanism includes an anvil 24 which is arranged on the lower side of the sheet-like staple material and serves as a male mold when forming the staple material into a U-shape, and an upper side of the staple material opposite to the anvil 24. and a forming plate 25 that is arranged at the top and driven in the vertical direction by a drive mechanism (not shown), and the forming plate 25 cooperates with the anvil 24 to coat the staple material. A concave mold 26 that serves as a female mold when molding into a letter shape is
It is formed facing downward in correspondence with the anvil 24. As shown in detail in Figure 2A,
The concave mold 26 has vertical sides 26c separated by a distance equal to the width of the shoulder of the staple after molding.

The joint edges of b and 26b are formed with curved surfaces having different curvatures. For example, in FIG. 2, the right joint edge 26e is a curved surface with a radius of 1 mm, and the left joint edge 26d is a curved surface with a radius of 2 mm.

The forming plate 25 is lowered by a drive mechanism (not shown), and the inclined lower end sides 26b, 26b respectively abut near both ends of the staple material S and begin to bend downward (see FIG. 2B). As the forming plate 25 further descends, the edge 26e formed with a curved surface with a small radius approaches the shoulder of the anvil 24, acting as if squeezing the staple material S interposed between the edges 26e and moving the staple material toward the right in the figure. This creates an effect that attracts people towards. At this time, the other side, that is, the side of the edge 26d formed with a curved surface with a large radius, is still the edge 26d.
Since there is a gap between the shoulder portion of the anvil 24 and the shoulder portion of the anvil 24, movement of the staple material S is not hindered. The tip of the staple S that has moved to the right in the figure comes into contact with the inner surface of the guide side wall 22 and stops moving, and in this state, the staple material is arranged approximately evenly with respect to the anvil 24 and forming plate 25. (See Figure 2C).

The edge 26d then bends the other end of the staple material at 90 degrees to form the other leg (see Figures 2D and E). ).
