Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent leak from an anode contact of a cathode-ray tube by installing a disc-shaped rubber part formed of silicone rubber between the anode contact as a high voltage applying terminal of the cathode-ray tube and an anode gap installed to supply a high voltage to this anode contact. CONSTITUTION:A leak preventing pad 5 is a disc-shaped sheet of silicone rubber and has an aperture at the center. When this leak preventing pad 5 is tightly applied to a cathode-ray tube surface around an anode contact 2 of a cathode- ray tube 4, the tightly applied part of the leak preventing pad 5 to the cathode- ray tube surface is electrically insulated from a high voltage, thereby if a high voltage is applied to the anode contact 2, leak from the outer circumference of leak preventing pad to the external can be prevented.

Conventional Technology Generally, as a means to prevent leakage from the anode contact, which is a high voltage application terminal of a cathode ray tube, a silicon bond 3 is applied between the anode cap 1 and the cathode ray tube surface around the anode contact 2, as shown in FIG. death,
This prevents leakage from the anode contact 2. Here, 4 indicates a plum tube.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention However, with the method of applying a silicone bond as shown in Figure 3, it takes about 24 hours after the silicone bond is applied in a hard case, so it is difficult to remove the anode cap. The problem is that high pressure cannot be supplied to the cathode ray tube until about 24 hours after attachment, and once the anode cap is attached and hardened with silicone bond, it is difficult to remove the anode cap. There is.

FIG. 1 is a sectional view of a cathode ray tube with a leak prevention pad 5 actually attached to the cathode ray tube 4. As shown in FIG. FIG. 2 shows the leak prevention pad of the present invention, which is a disk-shaped sheet made of silicone rubber and has an opening in the middle. As shown in FIG. 1, since the leak prevention pad 5 of the present invention is in close contact with the cathode ray tube surface around the anode contact 2 of the cathode ray tube 4, the contact area between the leak prevention pad 6 and the cathode ray tube surface has a high electrical withstand voltage. Since it is insulated, even if a high voltage is applied to the anode contact 2, leakage from the anode contact 2 to the outside of the periphery of the leak prevention pad can be prevented. Furthermore, the leak prevention (rubber) panod 5 can be removed from the cathode ray tube surface by removing the anode cap 1 etc., which greatly improves its maintenance and serviceability.
