Description
[産業上の利用分野]
本発明は、自動二・三輪車用のクツシヨン材に
係り、特に硬さの異なる自動二・三輪車用クツシ
ヨン材及びその製造方法に関する。
[従来の技術]
オートバイに代表される跨座式シートは、四輪
の場合と異なり、単に座り心地がよいだけではシ
ートの役目を果たすことができない。
つまり自動二・三輪車の操縦の要素として、ラ
イデイングポジシヨンが要求されるが、このライ
デイングポジシヨンに関係するのがシートの役割
である。例えばコーナーリングひとつにしても、
様々な姿勢を取る必要があり、このような姿勢を
取るときに膝・腿(股)部に力を入れてシートを
挟持して車体を操作する。
このような操縦のため、跨座式シートにおいて
は、シートが挟持し易い硬さのものが要求される
こととなる。
しかし、操縦法だけに着目すると、乗心地を損
なうことになり、シート本来の役割を果たすこと
ができないことになる。そこで、膝・腿の部分に
硬さの異なるクツシヨン材を接着材等で接合積層
して形成することが知られている。
また特開昭55−96195号公報及び特開昭59−
138423号公報では、発泡材料の比重差による硬度
の異なる発泡体製品及びその製造技術が提案され
ている。
[発明が解決しようとする問題点]
上述の、接着材によつて硬度の異なるクツシヨ
ン材を接合積層して形成する技術は、製造工程数
の増加、運転中における応力の変化等によつて接
合面の剥れ等が生じ易い。
また特開昭55−96195号公報及び特開昭59−
138423号公報で提案される技術については、所定
材料に別材料を比重差によつて沈めたり、浮かせ
たりして形成するものである。
本発明は、特開昭55−96195号公報及び特開昭
59−138423号公報に提案された技術と異なる技術
によつて、硬さの異なるクツシヨン材を提供する
もので、かかるクツシヨン材を用いることで、跨
座式シートにおける操縦性と乗心地の双方の要求
を満足するシートを得ることができる。
[問題点を解決するための手段]
本発明では、シートに硬度の異なる部分を形成
するもので、例えばライダーの尻部には、クツシ
ヨン性の良い発泡体を形成し、ライダーの股部
(腿部)には、硬めのクツシヨン材を形成する。
また上記硬度の異なるクツシヨン材は、キヤビ
テイ内の左右端部より若干内側に仕切りを左右に
それぞれ形成し、該左右の仕切りと仕切りの間
に、柔らかい発泡体を形成する第1の材料を入
れ、左右の仕切りとキヤビテイ側壁の間に第1の
材料より硬い発泡体を形成する第2の材料をそれ
ぞれ入れ、発泡成形して形成する。
[作用]
本発明は、上述のように座面より膝・腿に当接
する部分を硬く形成したので、跨座式シートにお
ける操縦性と乗心地の双方の要求を満足するクツ
シヨン材を提供できる。
また上記クツシヨン材を製造するに当つて、キ
ヤビテイ内に仕切りを形成し、該仕切りによつて
硬度の異なる材料を区分ち、発泡成形するという
技術を提供するものである。
[実施例]
以下本発明の一実施例を図面に基づいて説明す
る。
第1図Aは、跨座式シートのクツシヨン材であ
り、第1図Bは第1図Aの−線による断面
図、第1図Cは発泡前の上金型が開いた状態の断
面図、第1図Dは発泡が完了した時点の金型の断
面図である。
本例においては、第1図Cで示されるようなキ
ヤビテイ(下型)4とコアー(上型)5を用いて
おり、キヤビテイ4内の左右の側壁4a,4aか
ら若干内側の位置(側壁4a,4aから約20mm〜
50mmの間)、好ましくは約30mmの位置に、仕切り
6,6をそれぞれ形成する。該仕切り6,6は高
さ約20mm前後とする。
そして左右の仕切り6と仕切り6の間に、柔ら
かい発泡体を形成する第1の材料Aを入れ、左右
の仕切り6,6とキヤビテイ4の側壁4a,4a
の間に第1の材料より硬い発泡体を形成する第2
の材料Bをそれぞれ入れ、発泡成形する。
成形は、第1図Dで示されるように、材料A及
び材料Bが略垂直に発泡して、発泡体2及び3を
形成するが、この発泡体2及び3の境界は一体と
なり、何ら接着材を必要としないものとなる。
成形によつて一体となつたクツシヨン材1は、
第1図A,Bで示されるように、溝7を境にし
て、尻部に該当するクツシヨン部2と膝・腿部に
該当するクツシヨン部3では硬さが異なるものと
なる。このように硬度の異なる部分に溝が形成さ
れるために、色分等によらなくても硬度差が判別
できる。
本発明によつて用いられる発泡体の材料は、例
えばポリウレタンであるならば、水酸基価24〜45
のポリエーテルポリオールを50〜100重量部と、
水酸基価24〜30のポリマーポリオールを0〜50重
量部とを所定割合で用い、水酸基価500〜1600の
アミン系架橋剤と、水及び第3級アミン触媒を所
望量加え、NCO%が約10〜48%である芳香族系
イソシアネートブレンド品を相当量加える。さら
に場合によつてシリコン界面活性剤、フレオン−
11等を加えたものを用いる。
以下にポリウレタン発泡体による例を示す。
(例)
予めキヤビテイ4は50℃±5℃で予熱されてお
り、該キヤビテイ4内に形成された仕切り6と仕
切り6との間に、下記表1で表わされるように、
柔らかい発泡体を形成する第1の材料(下記A)
を入れ、左右の仕切り6,6とキヤビテイの側壁
4a,4aの間に上記第1の材料より硬い発泡体
を形成する第2の材料(下記B)をそれぞれ入れ
る。そして略同時に発泡させる。硬化は型を閉じ
てから80℃で約8分間行なつた。
