However, because this type of two-wheeled vehicle is smaller than a general automobile and has fewer lighting devices due to its structure, it is less noticeable, especially when driving at night, and may be involved in an unexpected accident. Furthermore, traffic accidents involving two-wheeled vehicles pose a significantly higher risk to life than those involving automobiles, and require extreme caution when driving. However, there is insufficient consideration given to the safety of the vehicle itself, and there is a demand for a structure that makes it easier for drivers of other vehicles to notice from a distance, especially when driving at night.

is guided to the back side of the windshield mounting plate 7. The end surfaces of these end portions 4a and 4b are connected to the light source 5.
The light entrance section 10 is arranged so as to face each other with the
The light 14 from the light source 5 is input into the light guide 4 through these light incident portions 10a and 10b. The light source 5 is a lamp body 11 fixed to the central part of the back surface of the windshield mounting plate 7.
Both end portions 4a and 4 of the light guide 4 are arranged on both side plates 11a and 11b of the lamp body 11, respectively.
4b are inserted into the insertion holes 12a and 1, respectively.
2b is formed. The remaining portion of the light guide 4 excluding the both ends 4a and 4b, that is, the windshield 2
A light emitting portion 13 is formed over the entire length of the portion corresponding to the upper edge and both left and right side edges, and the light 14 is emitted from this light emitting portion 13 to the outside. That is, when the surface of the light guide 4 is mirror-finished, the light 14 only travels through the light guide 4 while repeating total reflection and does not exit to the outside, so that the light guide 4 is not illuminated. Therefore, the light output section 13
It is necessary to provide the light 14 from which the light 14 is emitted to the outside.

That is, Fig. 1A shows a case in which minute unevenness 15 is formed by frosting or texturing on the peripheral surface of the light emitting portion 13 of the light guide 4 on the side opposite to the direction in which the light 14 is desired to be emitted, and Fig. 3B shows a A tape 16 of a color such as white having excellent reflective properties is pasted on the circumferential surface of the light emitting part 13 on the side opposite to the direction in which the light 14 is to be emitted. A reflective film layer 17 is formed by printing or painting on the peripheral surface on the side opposite to the direction in which the light 14 is desired to be emitted. In this case, the part where the tape 16 is attached and the reflective film layer 1
The surface of the light guide at the portion where 7 is formed constitutes a very fine diffused reflection surface, similar to the unevenness 15 formed by the seabo processing, and reflects the light 14 in all directions. FIG. 4b shows an example in which a groove 18 is formed on the circumferential surface of the light emitting part 13 along its longitudinal direction, and the light 14 traveling inside the light guide 4 hits the wall of the groove 18 and is reflected. This makes the exterior walls shine. FIGS. 4e and 4f show an example in which the light emitting part 13 is formed discontinuously by stipples 19 and scratches 20, which are small V-shaped recesses formed on the circumferential surface of the light emitting part 13.

The peripheral edge portion 2A of the windshield 2 and the light output portion 13 of the light guide 4 are respectively fitted into the grooves 23 and 24 and fixed with adhesive or the like. A set spring 9 for fixing the light guide 4 to the windshield 2
is usually formed into a C-shape using a metal plate for strength reasons, but since it blocks the illumination of that part, the 5th
An opening 25 may be provided as shown in the figure, or the set spring 9 itself may be made of a transparent resin material.

The light enters the light guide 4 from each of the light input portions 10a and 10b, travels while being totally reflected on the inner surfaces of both end portions 4a and 4b, and is diffusely reflected at the light output portion 13, whereupon part of it is emitted to the outside. . As a result, the light output section 13
The vehicle is illuminated brightly and effectively, allowing drivers of other vehicles to clearly recognize the presence of the vehicle even from a distance when driving at night. Therefore, safety during night driving is improved and accidents are prevented. Furthermore, if the circumferential portion of the windshield 2 appears shiny, the design is novel and increases the added value of the motorcycle.
