(Technical Field) The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a spherical sliding joint device, and in particular, a spherical sliding joint device that can be suitably used for pillow ball bushes, ball jointed rods, etc. in vehicle suspensions. The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a spherical sliding joint device having an improved structure that can advantageously improve its durability and manufacturability. (Prior Art) Conventionally, as a type of joint device used in a vehicle suspension, a ball portion formed at the tip or axial center of a ball fitting is accommodated and held in a socket portion of a socket member. A spherical sliding joint device is known in which a member attached to the ball fitting is connected to the socket member in a spherical sliding manner by making the ball part slide spherically within the socket part. It is being By the way, in the case of such a spherical sliding joint device, conventionally, as shown in, for example, Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 45-3448 and Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 55-84312, etc., sockets connected by such a joint device have been used. While the member (including the socket part) is made of a metallic material such as iron, a sliding member made of a predetermined resin material is disposed on the inner surface of the socket part of the socket member in order to enhance the spherical sliding effect. A structure in which the outer surface of the ball part of the ball fitting is held by a socket member via the sliding member was generally adopted, but in recent years, improvements have been made to reduce the weight of vehicles and improve corrosion resistance. In order to achieve this, it has been considered to convert such socket members to resin-based ones. However, when making such a socket member with resin, for example, the ball portion of the ball fitting is set at a predetermined position in a mold for injection molding the socket member, and a predetermined amount of resin is placed in the mold. This is done by injecting a resin material, and during molding, the contact pressure against the outer peripheral surface of the ball part of the socket part is caused by the contraction of the resin material during solidification. Problems arise in that the sliding function between the two members is inhibited, and therefore, it has never been possible to easily make the socket member made of resin. Therefore, the applicant of this application first filed a patent application filed in 1983-
No. 158362 discloses a spherical sliding joint device as described above, in which the ball part of the ball fitting is formed with a sliding material layer on the inside in contact with the ball part and a rubber elastic layer of a predetermined thickness on the outside thereof. By covering with an integral elastic composite sliding body and further forming at least the socket portion of the socket member by injection molding a predetermined resin on the outside of the composite sliding body, A spherical sliding type in which the rubber elastic body of such a composite sliding contact body absorbs the surface pressure on the outer peripheral surface of the ball part caused by contraction of the resin after injection molding of the socket part. A joint device was proposed. (Problem) However, in the spherical sliding joint according to the previous application, the mounting strength of the composite sliding member to the socket part is not particularly taken into account, and therefore, the socket of such composite sliding member is In the case where the attachment to the part is carried out by the injection resin pressure during molding of the socket part and the shrinkage pressure of the resin after molding, which is applied to the outer peripheral surface of the composite sliding contact body,
There was a risk that the composite sliding body would protrude from the socket due to the load acting between the ball fitting and the socket member. Therefore, the outer circumferential surface of such a composite sliding contact body is usually subjected to adhesive treatment for the socket portion, but this not only increases the number of man-hours for such adhesive treatment, but also increases the number of steps required for such composite sliding contact. Because it is difficult to use materials such as polyacetal, which have difficulty adhering to the rubber elastic layer of the body, as the material for the socket, the range of application is limited, and there is still room for improvement. It is. (Solution Means) Here, the present invention has been made against the background of the above-mentioned circumstances, and its feature is that the ball portion of the ball fitting is set in a predetermined injection mold. When manufacturing a spherical sliding joint device, a predetermined resin is injected onto the outside of the ball part to form a socket part that accommodates and holds the ball part in a spherical sliding manner. The ball part of the ball fitting is covered with an elastic composite sliding body in which a rubber elastic layer of a predetermined thickness is integrally provided on the outside of the cloth, and a prescribed resin material is placed on the outside of the composite sliding body. The socket part is injection molded by injection molding, and an engaging part that engages with the rubber elastic body to restrict displacement thereof is integrally formed in the socket part during injection molding of the socket part. It lies in the fact that it was formed. The engaging portion of the socket portion may be formed by, for example, inserting a resin material into a recess provided in the outer circumferential surface of the rubber elastic layer of the composite sliding body to form an engaging portion that fits into the recess. , a resin material may be protruded onto the open end surface of the rubber elastic layer to form an engaging portion that covers the open end surface with a predetermined width in the circumferential direction; This is advantageously formed by inserting an outwardly directed protrusion extending in the circumferential direction into the inside of the resin material and forming an engaging portion that holds the outwardly directed protrusion. (Effects of the Invention) According to the method for manufacturing a spherical sliding joint device according to the present invention, the outer periphery of the ball portion, which is caused by shrinkage of the resin after injection molding of the socket member, as described above, The surface pressure on the surface can be effectively absorbed and made uniform by the rubber elastic layer in the composite sliding contact body interposed between the socket part and the ball part, and therefore, such This prevents the sliding performance from being inhibited by surface pressure, and allows good sliding performance to be stably exhibited. Furthermore, according to the method of the present invention, at the same time as the socket part is formed, the engaging part for regulating the displacement of the composite sliding contact body is integrally formed with the socket part, so that the engaging part is formed integrally with the socket part. The engagement action can effectively prevent the composite sliding member (rubber elastic layer) from protruding from the socket when a load is applied to the joint device, thereby preventing the joint device from protruding from the socket. This means that both improved durability and stabilized sliding performance can be advantageously achieved. Furthermore, according to the method of the present invention, it is possible to omit the adhesion process for the socket portion of the composite sliding contact body, and therefore, the manufacturing process can be effectively reduced, and such composite sliding contact body There are no restrictions on the resin material used to form the socket in terms of adhesion to the socket. (Example) Hereinafter, in order to clarify the present invention more specifically, an example of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. First, FIGS. 1 and 2 show a longitudinal sectional view and a plan view of the main parts of a spherical sliding joint device manufactured by the method according to the present invention. In this figure, 10 is a rod formed by an injection molding operation of a predetermined synthetic resin material, and has a main body portion having a substantially H-shaped cross section and a spherical concave surface 12 at one end thereof. A socket portion 14 is provided. On the other hand, in the figure, reference numeral 16 denotes a pillow ball fitting having a substantially cylindrical shape, and other members to which the rod 10 is to be connected are inserted into the inner hole 18 of the pillow ball fitting and are integrally attached thereto. . Also,
A ball portion 20 having a spherical outer circumferential surface approximately corresponding to the spherical concave surface 12 of the socket portion 14 is integrally formed in the pillow ball fitting 16 at its central portion in the axial direction.
is accommodated in the socket portion 14. Further, a substantially cylindrical sliding member 22 is interposed between the spherical concave surface 12 of the socket portion 14 of the rod 10 and the ball portion 20 of the pillow ball fitting 16 accommodated therein. The sliding member 22 includes a sliding cloth 24 arranged to cover substantially the entire outer peripheral surface of the ball portion 20 housed in the socket portion 14, and a sliding cloth 24 that is arranged to cover substantially the entire outer peripheral surface of the ball portion 20 housed in the socket portion 14. It is integrally constituted by a rubber sheet 26 arranged therein. Here, in the case of the rubber sheet 26 constituting the sliding contact body 22, stepped portions 2 as recesses are provided on the outer circumferential surface of both ends in the axial direction.
8 is formed over the entire circumference. In the socket portion 14, an annular engaging portion 30 is inserted into each stepped portion 28 of the rubber sheet 26 to sandwich the rubber sheet 26 from both sides in the axial direction. 30 are integrally formed, and the sliding body 22 is held in the socket part 14 by the engaging parts 30, 30, so that the ball part 20 of the pillow ball fitting 16 can be
It is connected to the socket portion 14 via the sliding member 22 so as to be able to slide spherically. Incidentally, such a spherical sliding joint device is manufactured, for example, according to the method described below. First, a sliding cloth 24 formed into a cylindrical shape with a diameter approximately equal to the outer diameter of the ball portion 20 of the pillow ball fitting 16 by sewing or the like is set in a predetermined rubber mold, and a rubber material is injected into the mold. By forming the rubber sheet 26, as shown in FIG. The sheet 26 forms a sliding body 22 that is integrally fixed. The sliding cloth 24 may be one woven using low-friction fibers such as fluororesin fibers, or fibers made of a resin having sliding properties such as nylon or polyacetal. However, in order to improve the adhesion with the rubber sheet 26, it is necessary to insert threads made of such low-friction fibers on the inside, and insert threads made of fibers that exhibit good adhesion to rubber materials such as cotton threads. A material in which yarn is woven on the outside is preferably used. Also,
The rubber material forming the rubber sheet 26 is as follows:
Any of NR, SBR, NBR, EPDM, urethane rubber, TPR, etc. can be selected and adopted according to the usage conditions. Further, the thickness of the rubber sheet 26 will be appropriately determined depending on the load and sliding torque applied to the joint device as a product, but is usually 1 to 3.
It is formed to have a thickness of about mm and an inner diameter that is approximately the same as or slightly smaller than the outer peripheral surface of the ball portion 20 of the pillow ball fitting 16. Furthermore, as for the shape of the sliding contact body 22, in addition to the cylindrical shape shown in the example, various shapes such as a polygonal cylindrical shape can be adopted as appropriate. 16 ball part 2
By forming the ball part 20 with a spherical surface corresponding to the outer circumferential shape of the socket part 14, the surface pressure exerted on the ball part 20 due to the contraction of the resin after molding of the socket part 14 can be made uniform, resulting in good sliding performance. desirable in terms of obtaining Then, with the sliding member 22 covering the outer peripheral surface of the ball portion 20 of the pillowball fitting 16, the rod 10 is injection molded into the pillowball fitting 16 as shown in FIG. A desired spherical surface is formed by injecting a predetermined resin material into the product cavity 36 of the molds 32, 34 and molding the rod 10. A sliding joint device will be formed. The resin material forming the rod 10 may be a thermoplastic resin such as nylon or polyacetal, or a thermosetting resin such as epoxy or phenol, depending on the conditions of use of the joint device or the magnitude of the load to be applied. The material of
Any of them can be selected and adopted without limitation, but in particular, in order to ensure mechanical strength, glass fibers and carbon fibers are preferable to thermoplastic resins and thermosetting resins. Alternatively, a reinforcing material-containing resin whose strength is improved by adding whiskers or the like may be suitably employed. Here, the molds 32 and 34 for molding the rod 10 each include a fifth mold.
As shown in the figure, an annular ring that abuts both end surfaces in the axial direction of the sliding contact body 22 arranged on the outer peripheral surface of the ball portion 20 of the pillow ball fitting 16 and also holds the spherical surface of the pillow ball fitting 18. A positioning protrusion 38 is formed. Thereby, the resin material forming the rod 10 is transferred to the sliding contact body 22.
Stepped portions 28, 28 formed on the rubber sheet 26 of
The engaging portion 30 is designed to fit in so as to cover the axially outer end surface of the engaging portion 30, which clamps the sliding member 22 from both sides in the axial direction by the resin material inserted therein. 30 is formed integrally with the socket portion 14. By the way, in the case of a spherical sliding joint device having such a structure, the pillow ball fittings are damaged due to the injection pressure of the resin material forming the rod 10, and further due to the contraction of the resin material during solidification. Surface pressure is exerted between the outer peripheral surface of the ball portion 20 and the inner peripheral surface of the sliding contact body 22, and this surface pressure is caused by the elasticity of the rubber sheet 26 itself or by the elasticity of the rubber sheet 26. The pressure is released and reduced by the bulge between the pillow ball fitting 16 and the rod 10 at the axial end, and the sliding function is reduced by this surface pressure. Therefore, it is possible to obtain a joint device having a good spherical sliding function without any interference with the movement. Therefore, in the spherical sliding joint device manufactured by the method described above, the sliding member 22 is held between the engaging portions 30 provided on the rod 10 at both end faces in the axial direction. Since the relative displacement with respect to the rod 10 is regulated,
Rod 10 and pillow ball fitting 1 of such a coupling device

can be effectively prevented from protruding from the socket portion 14, and thereby the durability of such a joint device can be effectively improved, and its sliding function can be stably exhibited. . Moreover, according to such a manufacturing method, the sliding contact body 2
Therefore, it is possible to omit the adhesive treatment for the inner circumferential surface of the socket portion 14 of No. 2, and therefore the manufacturing man-hours can be effectively reduced.
The material No. 4 is not limited in terms of adhesiveness of the sliding member 22 to the rubber sheet 26. Furthermore, in the method of the present invention, the engaging portion 3
0 is formed simultaneously with the molding of the rod 10, which provides extremely good manufacturability. Incidentally, using the joint device manufactured by the method described above, its sliding characteristics etc. were measured, and the values are shown in Table 1 below along with comparative examples. As a comparative example, a cylindrical sliding body having no recesses on its outer circumferential surface was simply held by the injection pressure and contraction pressure during molding of the socket disposed on its outer circumferential surface. We used a structure with a Furthermore, as the resin material for the socket portion, glass fiber-containing polyacetal resin was used in both the examples and comparative examples. In addition, in the table, the swing moment is the moment required to force the pillow ball fitting 16 against the socket part 14, and the maximum pulling force is the moment required to force the pillow ball fitting 16 and the socket part 14, which the coupling device can withstand. is the maximum load acting between
Further, the axial displacement refers to the amount of displacement of the pillow ball fitting 16 relative to the socket portion 14 when a load of 100 kg is applied in the axial direction.

In the case of the joint device of the comparative example in which no engaging portion was provided, the pillow ball fitting 16 could only withstand up to 75 kg of axial load, and the axial displacement under a load of 100 kg could not be measured. On the other hand, in the case of the joint device of this example, the maximum pulling force is 240 kg.
It is easily understood that the sliding moment is not impaired to the extent that it becomes a problem in use. By the way, as is clear from the above description, the engaging portion 3 provided in the socket portion 14 of the rod 10
0 may have the function of regulating the relative displacement of the sliding body 22, and therefore its specific shape or configuration is not limited. For example, the engaging portion 30 in the above embodiment has a socket portion in a stepped portion 28 as a recess formed over the entire circumference of the outer peripheral surface of the axial end of the rubber sheet 26 in the sliding body 22. Although the rubber sheet 26 is formed by inserting the resin material forming the rubber sheet 14, the recesses may have various shapes as shown in FIGS. 6a to 6d. The engaging portion in the socket portion 14 can be formed by forming the recesses and inserting a resin material into these recesses. That is, the sliding body 40 shown in FIG. 6a
In this case, a plurality of recesses 42 are formed on the outer circumferential surface of both ends of the rubber sheet 26 in the axial direction, and in the case of the sliding contact body 44 shown in FIG.
A plurality of groove-shaped recesses 46 extending in the circumferential direction are formed on the outer peripheral surface of the rubber sheet 26, and further, as shown in FIG.
In the sliding contact body 48 shown in , a plurality of recesses 50 are formed in the outer peripheral surface of the rubber sheet 26. In addition, in the case of the sliding contact body 52 shown in FIG. -ing By inserting the resin material into the respective recesses 42, 46, 50, 56 of such sliding contact bodies 40, 44, 48, 52, the corresponding engagements are established in the recesses. A joint will be formed. Note that the position and number of recesses provided in the rubber sheet 26 can be arbitrarily selected in addition to the forms illustrated, but the form will depend on the slidability of the ball fitting and the load action. It should be determined taking into account changes in time, etc. In addition, in the examples shown in FIGS. 6a to 6d, all of the sliding bodies have a cylindrical shape, but it is also possible that the sliding bodies may be prepared in advance into a spherical shape. , it goes without saying. Further, FIG. 7 shows another specific example of a spherical sliding joint device obtained by the manufacturing method according to the present invention. In addition, in the drawings, members having the same structure as those in the specific example are designated by the same reference numerals, and detailed explanation thereof will be omitted. That is, in such a spherical sliding joint device, a sliding body 58 made of a rubber sheet 26 having no recesses on its outer circumferential surface is used, and the sliding body 58 is positioned relative to the socket portion 14. The engaging portion for regulating target displacement is constituted by circumferentially continuous or discontinuous engaging portions 60 that abut against both end surfaces of the sliding body 58 in the axial direction with a predetermined width. . In addition, such an engaging portion 60 is constructed by making the abutting surface of the rod 10 in the molding die for the axial end surface of the sliding member 58 smaller than the axial end surface of the sliding member 58. By causing the resin material forming the rod 10 to protrude, the rod 1
It will be formed simultaneously and integrally with the molding of 0. Even with such an engaging portion 60, the relative displacement of the sliding member 58 with respect to the rod 10 (socket portion 14) can be effectively restricted, thereby achieving the various effects described above. , all of which can be effectively performed. Furthermore, FIG. 8 shows yet another specific example of the spherical sliding joint device obtained by the manufacturing method according to the present invention. In addition, also in this example,
In the drawings, members similar to those of the spherical sliding joint device shown in the first embodiment are designated by the same reference numerals, and detailed explanation thereof will be omitted. That is, in such a spherical sliding joint device, the sliding body 90 is formed to have a spherical cylindrical shape corresponding to the ball portion 20 of the pillow ball fitting 16, as shown in FIG. At the same time, protrusions 92, 92 extending radially outward in the shape of a flange are formed continuously or discontinuously in the circumferential direction at both ends in the axial direction of the rubber sheet 26 constituting the sliding body 90. There is. And those protrusions 9
2 and 92 are inserted into the socket portion 14, in other words, the socket portion 14
However, by being formed to sandwich the protrusions 92, 92, an engaging portion 94 is formed that restricts the relative displacement of the sliding member 90 with respect to the socket portion 14. Incidentally, similar to the embodiment described above, such an engaging portion 94 is formed simultaneously and integrally with the molding of the socket portion 14, and also in a joint device having such a structure, the above-mentioned Needless to say, it can effectively produce various effects. By the way, the present invention can also be applied favorably to the manufacture of a spherical sliding joint device having a structure in which a ball portion formed at the end of a ball metal fitting is connected to a socket member such as a rod. A brief explanation will be given below of an example of application to a joint device having such a structure. That is, in FIG. 10, 62 is a rod formed by an injection molding device of a predetermined synthetic resin material, and has a spherical concave surface 64 at one end thereof.
A socket portion 66 is provided. On the other hand, in the figure, reference numeral 68 denotes a ball joint fitting as a ball fitting to which another member to which the rod 62 is to be connected is attached, and at one end in the axial direction, the spherical concave surface 64 of the socket portion 66 is attached. A ball portion 70 having a spherical outer peripheral surface corresponding to the diameter of the socket is integrally formed, and this ball portion 70 is accommodated within the socket portion 66. Furthermore, between the spherical concave surface 64 of the socket portion 66 of these rods 62 and the ball portion 70 of the ball joint fitting 68 accommodated therein, there is a gap between the substantially entire surface of the ball portion 70 accommodated in the socket portion 66. A sliding contact body 72 having a substantially hemispherical shape is interposed so as to cover it. This sliding contact body 72 is integrally constituted by a sliding cloth 74 in contact with the ball portion 70 and a rubber sheet 76 disposed on the outer peripheral surface of the sliding cloth 74. A rubber sheet 76 constituting the sliding contact body 72
In this case, a stepped portion 78 serving as a recess is formed all around the outer peripheral surface of the opening end. On the other hand, an annular engaging portion 80 is integrally formed in the socket portion 66 so as to fit into the stepped portion 78 of the rubber sheet 76 and cover the end surface of the opening of the rubber sheet 76. By holding the sliding body 72 in the socket portion 66 at the engaging portion 80, the ball portion 70 of the ball joint fitting 68 can be held through the sliding body 72. , is connected to the socket portion 66 so as to be spherically slidable. Therefore, in a spherical sliding joint device having such a structure, when a load is applied between the rod 62 and the ball joint fitting 68, the sliding member 72 protrudes from the socket portion 66. This can be effectively prevented by the engaging portion 80, thereby effectively improving the durability of the joint device and stably exhibiting its sliding function. Furthermore, the same effects as in the embodiments described above, such as the ability to omit the adhesive treatment for the inner circumferential surface of the socket portion 66 of the sliding member 72, can be effectively exhibited. Incidentally, since such a spherical sliding joint device can be manufactured according to the same method as in the first embodiment, a description thereof will be omitted. Further, even in the spherical sliding joint device having such a structure, the specific shape or configuration of the engaging portion 80 provided in the socket portion 66 of the rod 62 is not limited, and as shown in FIG. A specific example of another embodiment is shown. In this specific example, the same reference numerals are given to the same members as in the previous specific example, and detailed explanation thereof will be omitted. That is, in the sliding body 82 in this specific example, a plurality of groove-like grooves extending continuously or discontinuously in the circumferential direction are formed on the outer peripheral surface of the rubber sheet 76 constituting the sliding body 82. Recesses 84 are formed, and the engaging portion 86 is formed by the resin material forming the socket portion 66 entering into these recesses 84 during the molding operation. In addition, the socket portion 66 also has an engaging portion 88 on the opening end surface of the sliding member 82, which abuts against the opening end surface with a predetermined width and restricts its outward displacement. There is. The method for manufacturing a spherical sliding joint device according to the method of the present invention has been described above in detail with reference to several specific examples, but these are literal illustrations, and the present invention is limited only to such specific examples. It is not intended to be interpreted as such. For example, in a spherical sliding joint device to which the present invention can be applied, rods 10, 62 and ball fittings 16, 68 in which socket portions and ball portions are formed may have various shapes. . It is also possible to improve the strength of the socket by embedding a metal member or the like around the socket or inside the rod. Furthermore, in the case where a ball portion 70 is formed at the end of the ball joint fitting 68, the rubber sheet 76 of the sliding member 72 (82) is attached to the socket portion 6.
The joint device does not need to be disposed over the entire outer circumferential surface of the ball portion 70 accommodated in the ball portion 70, and can be provided so as to cover only the side circumferential surface thereof, thereby providing a sufficient sliding function. It is possible to obtain Although not listed in detail, the present invention may be implemented in various modifications, modifications, improvements, etc. based on the knowledge of those skilled in the art, and such embodiments may be implemented without departing from the spirit of the present invention. It goes without saying that all of these are included within the scope of the present invention as long as they do not deviate from the above.

With the ball portion of the ball fitting set in a predetermined injection mold, a predetermined resin is injected onto the outside of the ball portion to enable the ball portion to slide on a spherical surface. When manufacturing a spherical sliding joint device by forming a socket portion for housing and holding, an elastic composite sliding contact body in which a rubber elastic layer of a predetermined thickness is integrally provided on the outside of a sliding cloth is used. Therefore, the ball part of the ball fitting is covered, and the socket part is injection molded by injecting a predetermined resin material to the outside of the composite sliding contact body, and when the socket part is injection molded, the rubber elastic body is 1. A method of manufacturing a spherical sliding joint device, comprising integrally forming an engaging portion that engages with and restricts displacement of the socket portion. 2. A recess is provided in the outer circumferential surface of the rubber elastic layer in the composite sliding contact body, and the resin material forming the socket part is inserted into the recess, so that the resin material is fitted into the recess with respect to the socket part. A method for manufacturing a spherical sliding joint device according to claim 1, wherein an engaging portion is formed to fit together. 3. By causing the resin material forming the socket portion to protrude onto the open end surface of the rubber elastic layer in the composite sliding contact body, the end surface of the rubber elastic layer is circumferentially aligned with respect to the socket portion. A method for manufacturing a spherical sliding joint device according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the engaging portion is formed to cover a predetermined width. 4. Providing an outward protrusion extending in the circumferential direction at the open end of the rubber elastic layer in the composite sliding contact body,
Claim 1, wherein an engaging portion for holding the outward protrusion is formed in the socket portion by inserting the outward protrusion into the resin material forming the socket portion. A method for manufacturing a spherical sliding joint device according to any one of items 3 to 3.
