The present invention relates to a word processor that stores document information input from an input device and performs proof editing such as adding, correcting, or deleting this document information, and particularly relates to a word processor that stores document information input from an input device and performs proof editing such as adding, correcting, or deleting this document information. The present invention relates to a word processor having an interrupt printing function for printing document information. Generally, created document information is stored in an external storage medium such as a flexible disk (ED). Conventionally, in order to print document information stored in such an external storage device using a printing device, it was necessary to call a print control program using an operation selection menu of the processing device. In other words, while a document is being created or proofread/edited, it is not possible to print a document other than the document being worked on, and the document information being worked on or proofread/edited cannot be saved to an external storage device. After returning the processing device to its initial state (operation selection menu), the printing operation had to be selected and the printing control program had to be called. In this case, when one word processor is used by a plurality of people, the processing device can only process one document at a time, resulting in a decrease in usage efficiency. In order to solve this problem, the present invention allows printing of a document by sending a key input interrupt using the print key from the keyboard to the processing device when another document information is to be printed during document input or proof editing. It is an object of the present invention to provide a word processor that prints any document without interrupting creation, proofreading, and editing work. EXAMPLES Hereinafter, the present invention will be explained in detail by showing examples of the present invention. In the embodiment, a Japanese word processor is used as one of the word processors. FIG. 1 is a block diagram of an embodiment. 11 is a calculation control unit (CPU). 12 is a main storage section. FIG. 2 shows the memory layout of the main storage section 12. Reference numeral 21 denotes a table used for exchanging data between each module of the software, and a buffer area such as a display buffer used commonly by each module. 22 is an OS (Operating
This is an area where the basic input/output control program that controls input/output control is stored. Reference numeral 23 denotes a resident task section, which is an area in which programs such as communication control and print file control, which are always stored in the main storage section 2, are stored. Reference numeral 24 denotes a non-resident task section, which is an area in which programs necessary for the operation of the word processor, such as a menu control section, a kana-kanji conversion input section, and a text editing section, are stored. Among the programs stored in the main storage unit 2, those particularly related to the present invention include programs for the OS, basic input/output control, print file control, and the like. 3 is an input/output control unit that receives commands from the CPU 1 via the input/output bus line, and controls each I/O unit by a microprocessor.
Multiple controls are performed using hardware. 31, 32,
33 are each controlled by the input/output control unit 3
They are a CRT display unit (CRT), a printer unit (PRT), and a keyboard unit (KB). The keyboard unit 33 is equipped with a key (interrupt print key) for instructing the CPU 1 to perform interrupt printing. 4 is a DMA (Direct Memory Access) control unit that controls the flexible disk drive (FDD).
#1, #2) Data transfer between 41, 42 and the main storage unit 2 is performed. In this example, FDD #1 (41)
is a system flexible disk (a flexible disk that stores non-resident programs and a word dictionary for kana-kanji conversion) drive (SFDD)
used as. Further, FDD #2 (42) is used as a document flexible disk drive (CFDD). The document flexible disk has
Areas are secured such as a document file section in which created documents are saved, a print file section used as a work file during printing, and a work file section used as a work file during editing and proofreading. FIG. 3 shows the layout of the document flexible disk. 421 is a header portion, which serves as an indicator that this flexible disk is a document flexible disk. 422 is a document file section, 423 is a print file section, and 424 is a work file section. In this embodiment, the document information converted into a print image is designed to be stored in the print storage area (print file section) 423 of the external storage device (FDD#2 in this embodiment). 5 is the kanji pattern memory section, 24 per character
Memorize the x24 dot pattern. The input/output control section 3 accesses the kanji pattern memory section 5 according to the character code in the document information, reads out the necessary dot pattern, and transfers it to the refresh memory of the CRT 31, or transfers it to the refresh memory of the PRT 31.
Send to 2. Table 1 below shows a summary of the programs used in the Japanese word processor of this embodiment and related to the interrupt printing function of the present invention. Explain in detail.

[Table] Assume that the interrupt print key is pressed during document creation or proof editing. First, the input/output control unit 3 detects a key input from the KB33, and the CPU
1, a key input interrupt signal is issued. When the CPU 1 detects this key input interrupt signal, it reads the key input data from the KB 33 under the control of the basic input/output control section. Since the interrupt print key of KB33 is currently being pressed, the code data corresponding to this key is sent to CPU1. By obtaining this code data, the CPU 1 learns that interrupt printing has been instructed by the operator. When CPU1 obtains this code data, it executes the document creation process that it had been executing until then.
Alternatively, the proof editing program is branched and execution is transferred to the print control section program. By executing the print control unit, first, an inquiry about the name of the print document is made. At this time, the CPU 1 provides a display command and display data to the input/output control section 3. Upon receiving the display command, the input/output control unit 3 writes display data to the address of the video RAM corresponding to the designated display position. As a result, a message inquiring about the name of the print document is displayed on the screen of the CRT 31. The operator responds to this message with KB33
Enter the document name given to the document to be printed (this was set when the document was created). As a result, a series of key input interrupts from the KB33 cause a series of key codes corresponding to the document name (hereinafter referred to as document identification information) to be sent to the CPU 1 via the input/output control unit 3, and stored in the main memory. 2.
Next, the CPU 1 starts the DMA control unit 4 and
A document having the inputted document identification information is searched on the document flexible disk inserted in #2 (42). The document file section 422 in the document flexible disk shown in FIG. 3 stores a table (document catalog) in which document identification information of currently held document information and position information indicating the storage location of the document information are registered. I have it. The aforementioned search is performed by referring to this document catalog. As a result, when the position information of the designated document information is detected, the CPU 1
Reading of document information is started from the specified position of 22. Then, the read document information is converted into a print image according to the print format and stored in the print file section 423. In this embodiment, print format information (information on the number of characters per line, number of lines per page, etc.) is included in the document information.
However, the print format may be specified in successive messages from the CPU 1. FIG. 4 shows the internal format of the printing file section 423. 423a is a table (sysout catalog) area in which the document name (document identification information) of the document information to be printed and the storage location of the print document are registered. Reference numeral 423b denotes a system output file area in which document information of print images is stored. When storing document information converted into a print image in the print file section 423, the CPU 1
First, by referring to the "free catalog" and "sysout file free sectors" information of the sysout file catalog 423a, a free area of the sysout file is searched. Next, CPU1 is sysout catalog 423
After document identification information is registered in a, document information is stored starting from the first sector of the free area. When the print document information is completely stored in the system output file 423b, control of the CPU 1 is entrusted to the operation of the print file control section, and output to the PRT 32 is executed. When the printing file section starts operating,
The CPU 1 restarts the previously stopped document creation or proofreading/editing program and resumes this task. The present invention has been described in detail with reference to embodiments. According to the present invention, it is possible to print another document while a document is being created, proofread, and edited, thereby providing a word processor with high utilization efficiency. In this embodiment, since a sysout catalog is used, a plurality of documents can be kept in a print standby state, resulting in even higher utilization efficiency.
