配置される第2のバツクライトとから成る一対の
構成のバツクライトを設けて、前記第1のバツク
ライト又は第2のバツクライトを調光ドライバ回
路の信号を切替えて駆動して前記液晶パネルを高
輝度又は低輝度照明することを特徴とする液晶表
示装置。 (2) 請求項1の液晶表示装置において、前記液
晶パネルを温度補償するヒータを配置したヒータ
組込液晶パネルとするとき、前記ヒータを前記一
方の透明部材の外側に設ける場合にあつては前記
ヒータと前記透明部材との間においてヒータ側に
絶縁層を配置してこの絶縁層と前記透明部材との
間に全面ベタの透明電極を配置する構成とし、前
記ヒータを前記一方の透明部材の内側に設ける場
合にあつては前記透明部材の内側に前記全面透明
電極を配置しその内側に絶縁層を配置し更にその
内側に他の全面ベタの透明電極を配置しこの内側
に表示用の透明電極及び液晶が配置された構成と
し、前記ヒータに電圧を印加した時にヒータ電極
から発生する電界を前記全面ベタの透明電極のシ
ールド効果によりこの発生電界による液晶層への
悪影響を防止したことを特徴とする液晶表示装置
。 (3) 請求項1及び2の液晶表示装置において、
前記液晶パネルの背後に前記第1のバツクライト
と前記第2のバツクライトとから成るバツクライ
トを設け、該バツクライトからの照射光を受ける
前記液晶パネルを、ヒータを前記一方の透明部材
の外側に設ける場合にあつては前記ヒータと前記
透明部材との間においてヒータ側に絶縁層を配置
してこの絶縁層と前記透明部材との間に全面ベタ

方の透明部材の内側に設ける場合にあつては前記
透明部材の内側に前記全面透明電極を配置しその

タの透明電極を配置しこの内側に表示用の透明電
極及び液晶が配置する構成とした前記ヒータ組込
液晶パネルとしたことを特徴とする液晶表示装置
